He…read morewas able to absolutely entertain the entire group of fifteen or so 4-6 year olds for more than an hour (longer than he had anticipated) and I can't tell you how much laughter and shrieks of delight we heard. Most importantly to us, he was able to get our fairly shy daughter comfortable and up in front of the group of her friends to join in his act and, even better, she had a great time doing it. He also stayed after the show to make balloon animals for all of the kids in attendance which was a big hit. It was all around a great show and Alex was fantastic at working with the kids. He was also great at communicating with us regarding preferences etc... leading up to the show. I'd book him again in a heartbeat.

I recognize that the Magic Duel takes huge pride in 5 star reviews on Yelp, which I deeply respect. But I did wish that we had seen the show in a different venue. I am no stage expert, but lights and sound do matter a lot in delivery of a magic show for a skeptic like me, going because the significant other loves magic shows. With better lighting, things would have been more "magical" (thinking bottles.) I was also surprised that a bubble artist, as good as she was in her profession, was considered a magician. The environment is too controlled and obviously you can only see whatever the camera is pointing at which isn't much in a 3D world. However, the way Adam interacts with his audience actually translates across virtual bounds! When my husband was planning an event for children of military veterans, without our asking, he volunteered his time to come and entertain the children. And that's not the only show that he has donated to a good, non-profit cause--he's a really nice guy.
