The things that fall to the ground they don't get out of the trucks anymore to pick up. I set up a payment to come out at a later date both online and over the phone and for some reason still never took the payment. My driver seems to enjoy taking my can for a ride while he dumps it, as its always in front of my neighbors house when hes done. The only time I can say it was good was a morning i got my can out late but he was just rounding the cul de sac and so when i met him across the street he dumped my can at least. I have been on the phone with them a few times, what a waste of time. They don't seem to be able to help your needs. But do you have a choice ,nope so thats why the reviews mean nothing! read more

Ordered rental dumpster for property that I work at. Between incorrect placement, damaged dumpster, ignored phone calls, no follow through when trying to resolve problems and actually voiding a repair ticket the day after issued, I have been waiting a month to have a serviceable dumpster to use. If they didn't have a monopoly, I'd use someone else. read more

I've lived in Auburn almost three years off R street and the trash men have repeatedly missed my trash pick up. I'd say four or five times. Not a ton but it makes the following weeks tough when you've got a family, trash produces. Today I put a small 5 x 6 area rug with the trash, wrapped it up tight in a roll then heavily taped it together. The thing weighs 10lbs. They wouldn't touch it. It's too bad that we can't choose our own garbage disposal company. (I see that Waste Management has many [and only] 1-star ratings. Waste Management, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR REVIEWS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! Let me add another 1-star review to that! A negative star would be more appropriate!) If I had a choice, I would not use Waste Management. Just because my garbage can lid was left opened because we had not broken down the large furnace filter that would not fit in the can, we were charged extra for that, even though we are avid recyclers and our garbage can only contained a small bag of garbage. Waste Management said we had to break down the filter! Why does it matter? It'll go into the big dumpster in the back of the truck only to be crushed anyway! They charged us extra and would not budge on waiving the charge, even though we've lived here for almost 20 years and this is the first offense. Most businesses would waive the first offense, but this company would not. The receptionist who answered my call was very nice, but she did not have the ability to make the decision to waive the charge. She consulted with her supervisor, who made the decision. I have been trying to get the right sized trash can at my home since March, was promised once again that we would have the larger can yesterday the 6th of June - still no larger can! Their notes per our last call said that they had delivered it - we let them know once again we had not and they promised it would be taken care of. Now I am on hold to try and reach a Manager.....I don't normally do this, but at this rate it would make more sense to do weekly dump runs. read more

I spent almost an hour on the phone with Waste Management corporate office phone tree and never could get a person on the phone. I just needed their address to send a check to. So I decide to look up the local office and drive to there to give the check to them. They wouldn't take it and all they offered was the same phone number I was stuck with earlier that got me nowhere. Their customer service is the worst and so is their website. read more

I love Waste Management. I don't understand those people that think those huge trucks should be out in the snow to pickup trash. Those trucks are huge, not easy to stop, if one started to skid in icy conditions people and property could be damaged. Customers, who probably live in a neighborhood with level roads seem to be only looking out their window at road conditions.The trucks have to maneuver past other drivers on the road, that shouldn't be out there but they think they are experts driving in the snow (we all know somebody like this), there are hills they need to maneuver, roundabouts which are not easy to get around, especially in cul de sacs. I appreciate the caution Waste Management takes. I talk to each one of my drivers, yard waste, garbage, recycle and they are nice guys doing a great job. read more

I wish they had a negative star setting because Waste Management would get -10!! They are the worst. They always promise they will take care of your issue and then it's not handled! Then when you call back they have no clue what you are talking about. My husband and I are so sick of it that we have refused to pay our bill. Why would we pay for a service we are not even getting? They use to come down our driveway, which we paid extra for, and then one day they stopped. We have called them over 30 times asking why the service stopped and if there is a problem what we need to do to fix it. Its the same thing every time we call, "okay we will get back to you" which they never do!! I am so frustrated. This has been going on now for a year!!! The route manager we talked to actually gave us a fake name!!! Now when we ask for her they tell us no one with that name works there. Well, tomorrow we are going to the office. A truly worthless organization if you consider the service you get. In mid February we had a great amount of snow for our area and it wasn't possible (according to them) to get their trucks any where around the city of Auburn. Eventually, they agreed to take our recycle if we wanted to bring it to them (with identification to make sure they were accepting only customers from Auburn.) It wasn't safe for their trucks to be driving around but it was okay for private vehicles to venture out. They also agreed to make up for them missing their rounds by leaving out excess if it was well marked. Mine was very well marked and they just pushed it off the top of the container. They picked up the container which was loaded to the brim, dumped it and moved on. They were so lazy they couldn't possibly get out of their trucks and dump the excess I left in accordance with the direction from the City of Auburn. Even worse, the City of Auburn seemed fine with Waste Management breaching their city contract. Thanks to Waste Management and the City of Auburn failing to do a service which we pay. read more
