We needed to dispose of a large grill that was disintegrating from rust. On top of that, we had an old box spring and a couple of televisions that no longer worked and had to go. We'd called numerous different junk removal services for quotes and they all wanted way too much money. For each of the broken TVs we were being quoted around $30 a piece. One place said they'd take the grill, but it would be $150 for that alone. Fortunately, while my wife was calling one service, I was on the phone with my sister who told me that she's used Seattle Rubbish twice and that they were not only surprisingly affordable, but incredibly helpful and efficient. She was right. We were given a flat fee for 1/8 of a truck; no extra charges for the TVs or grill. They were backed up with bookings, but still went out of their way to accommodate us, squeezing us in the very day that we called, because our location happened to work with their schedule. The two men that helped us were Travis and Kyle, who were both professional, yet incredibly personable and easy to deal with. There was zero complication and they worked fast, but still made time to answer questions and explain the general details of what they handle at Seattle Rubbish Removal, in case we ever needed to use their services in the future, which I guarantee we will be. That grill has been such a burden -- my brother in law dropped that fiasco on us years ago and it's been taken up so much space. I read ads and reviews for weeks trying to select a company to take away two LARGE old gaming CRT Televisions, and move a third from one room to a stand in another. The largest one (a 32" Sony) was in terrible shape, with a shattered case that my husband and I used packing tape all over to try to help keep it together for removal. I requested estimates from a few I'd narrowed it down to and Eli from Seattle Rubbish Company was the first to reply and also had the lowest cost. I scheduled a date and time frame the week before I wanted the work done, and Andres and Troy called the afternoon they were scheduled to let me know they were on their way. They arrived at the beginning of the window of time they were supposed to be here (2-4:30) and were done and out in no time. I was originally worried about having a rubbish removal company handling the TV I wanted to keep, but they took more care with it than any moving company I've ever hired to move me in the past! I was extremely impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. They even offered to remove cardboard packing material along with the TVs! The whole process went so smoothly, I really couldn't believe it. They were neat and careful with everything. However, they handled those heavy (180 lbs, 102 lbs, 80 lbs) TVs with ease. It's wonderful to find people who actually know what they are doing, and seem to enjoy their work to boot. A bonus was that they were also very friendly and pleasant. Innocente and Patrick just finished picking up my items, and I can't truly express how incredible they were. Their professionalism, personable demeanor, and respectful approach stood out from start to finish. They were very quick to remove all items, even going above and beyond to pick up wood debris from the floor afterward. I was absolutely amazed at how much they could carry each time they came back and forth from the truck--it was truly impressive! I also really appreciated the heads-up when they were 15 minutes away, which helped me feel prepared and reassured. They even took the time to double-check with me about parking since I live on a tricky block with a large hill, showing their attention to detail and consideration. They were quick, transparent about costs, and, most importantly, as a woman alone during the move, they made me feel completely safe. That sense of security is absolutely priceless to me. My sisters always remind me to take extra precautions with movers, so I can't wait to share this wonderful experience with them. Our condo buildings common area had become a dumping ground for unwanted large plants in containers which were not tended to. The planters were infested by insects and were up against the building and my air conditioning unit. Because of this, I had a significant problem in my unit with moths resulting in damage to my clothing and rugs (at least $2000). Finally got the HOA to hire SRR to remove these large containers plus other outdoor furniture left in the elements which had rendered them useless. Cruz and Mike were able to quickly make a plan to break down the pots, find the easiest egress to their truck (tricky) and did a great job cleaning up afterward. It solved my external infestation issue and improved the appearance of our building significantly! I rarely write reviews, but in this case I have to make an exception. These guys were awesome. Anytime I look on yelp and see someone with pretty much all 5 star reviews I am immediately suspicious there has been some stuffing of the ballot box - cause no one is that good, right? Well these guys are. We were moving out of the country, and the owner was very accommodating as we needed to do some last minute rescheduling and trying to work around other pickups and such. Then two very nice friendly and hardworking guys showed up at my house in Bellevue and emptied my two car garage that was 6' deep in miscellaneous junk. No complaints about we can't take that and we need to charge extra for this. No loosely packing the truck so they can charge more. They just grabbed everything and stuffed it in their truck and were gone in no time. And for a very reasonable price. Then even swept the floor on their way out. read more

We hired this company because of reading many positive YELP reviews. Today was moving day. The crew was on time, including the owner. Each crew member introduced themselves with a smile. All were extremely courteous, professional, and fast. They were great to work with. They hauled multiple truckloads to the Goodwill. Midway through the job my wife called and was very upset. She had left a box full of family crystal in the wrong pile, and had already gone to the Goodwill, Ely (owner) grabbed me and off we raced back to the Goodwill where he retrieved the box of crystal and saved the day. I had a large and heavy sofabed which needed to leave the apartment the way it had originally come in-- up and over a second-story deck. When I called and explained the situation, they arranged to have the 2-man truck, and the lead both come out. I was quoted the partial-truck price (with no charge for an extra man) and given an 8-10am arrival window for the following week. On the day, shortly after 8am I got courtesy calls from both trucks, to say they were each about 15 minutes out. They arrived, checked out the lay of the land, tied down the sofabed, and out the slider it went-- quickly and efficiently. I contacted SRR yesterday and they were able to schedule a pick up the next afternoon. From the first contact with Will, I felt very assured that this was a good choice. I was quoted the various tiers of pricing over the phone so there were no surprises. I knew the load would fall somewhere in between the lowest level and the next. The quote was very detailed with a lot of explaining and helped me to do similar estimates. I chose it because of many reviews and most are good. The schedule was easy, many choices and most important: fast. Dwight and Yaerd showed up, very polite and finished the work within the appointment window. They gave an estimation even lower than online quote, it is always hit and miss just by looking at photos. I am glad with the service and prices. It's amazing how much _stuff_ you can accumulate over 10 years. When we moved to a smaller place, we left (I thought) about of our _stuff_ behind. Seattle Rubbish Removal removed 2 truckloads of _stuff_. The service wasn't cheap (because we had _so_ _much_ _stuff_) but we could not have done it ourselves. One truck, with 2 guys, showed up at our old place, realized that there was more _stuff_ than that, and called in reinforcements. Along the way, they found stuff (look, no underbars!) that we wanted to keep but had thought was long gone--and realized that it was good stuff, not _stuff_! Johnny even called to let us know when they were on their way. They were pleasant and friendly, we filled 3/4 of a truck with random "junk" and yard waste and they were done within an hour! The two-man crew of Alex and Johnny arrived punctually; looked at the pile of junk we had pre-positioned in the garage; estimated how many truckloads would be needed and the time it would take; and gave us an idea of what the final cost would be. These people are AWESOME. I called Saturday mid-morning for a quote and timetable for removal of some junk from our basement. I spoke with Eli, who explained how their system worked, what the price would probably be based on size, and he said his crew would be out that afternoon! Sure enough, fabulous Tye and Roger showed up after calling me to confirm time and address, they were friendly, nice, accurate to their estimate and quick.
