Most people only go online to write a review when something goes wrong, but in this case, I am doing the opposite, I am writing to give credit for a job, very well done. CWPM has been fantastic with our trash and recycling pickup. They are always timely, reliable, and consistent, which is something you really appreciate with a service you depend on every single week. This past Tuesday morning, during recycling pickup, the truck accidentally knocked over my garbage can while using the mechanical claws to grab the bin next to it. It made quite a mess in the driveway, and of course, it happened on the day I had cleaned out my garage, so the trash was heavier than usual and included nails, loose items, and a lot of odds and ends. What impressed me was what happened next. The driver didn't just move on. He got out of the truck, picked the garbage can back up, and took the time to clean up every bit of what had spilled, even the small pieces. He could have easily left it, but he didn't. That says a lot about his work ethic, the management behind the company, and the kind of standards CWPM clearly expects from their employees. Yes, picking it up may seem like the right thing to do, but we all know not everyone takes the time to do the right thing anymore. This worker did, and it did not go unnoticed. Trash collection is one of those jobs people often take for granted, but it is an extremely important service that we truly could not live without, and it is often a thankless job. Because of that, I wanted to make sure to give credit where credit is due. Thank you to CWPM and to the driver who went the extra mile. Your hard work is appreciated more than you probably hear.

Today I found out how great my trash pickup company is. As a "typical" guy that didn't listen to my…read morewife, I didn't pay my trash bill. The bill was cheap enough and I just kept telling my wife yea, yea I will pay it. Guess what... I missed paying it for 2 months and was put on a credit hold. Totally my fault! My wife told me that the trash truck skipped us today. I immediately told her I will look into it (after all I couldn't tell her I was a moron and never paid the bill). I quickly went online and paid the bill because I figured the truck would magically come back, get my trash like it never happened and I could look like a hero to my wife...Wrongo! I called the office and sheepishly told the young lady that I just paid my bill and could you have the truck come back. She said she will call the truck to see if he was still in the area. She called me back and (it was like waiting for the verdict in a murder trial) said he was on the other side of town and could not get back today. She pleasantly told me that if I left my trash out next Tuesday they would get it then(I normally get picked up on Thursdays). In the real world a guy would thank his lucky stars and say thank you... but not this guy. I said that there wouldn't be anyone around to put the trash out and the cover was being held open due to the amount of trash I stuffed in it. She put me on hold and came back in a minute and said someone would be by in a while to get my trash with a pickup truck. To make this long story short, a gentleman showed up a few minutes later and put all my trash in his truck while smiling the whole time. He then had the nerve to wheel my trash bin up the driveway and put it back where it belonged!! What I witnessed today was nothing short of great customer service from a company who had every right to say "we will get it next week" but they went the extra mile to make a customer happy. After my experience I wouldn't switch companies if the new service was free! Thank you.
