Most are set in silver, but he can do gold too. I own a few pieces from here and get compliments when I wear them, and anything purchased as a gift has been cherished from those receiving the pieces. The owner does have a selection of jewellery in other gemstones, precious and semi-precious, so if jet isn't your cup-of-tea, you may like one of the other stones. The staff in the shop are very friendly and helpful and the prices range from very reasonable to expensive, depending on what you are looking for.

Its spread over two floors, with a spiral staircase leading to the second floor, its really old worlde in there and has such a charm. It has a good range in local history books, and quite a lot of gothic/horror books which is always nice to see. If you want gifts for people then I can recommend some of the pretty notebooks sold here and unusual cards. We've only spent a short time in here but you could easily browse for hours, and its worth looking out for events as they tend to have author signing events which are good fun and you get to pick up a signed book.
