They also sold the watch with different links then the original but failed to mention it in the ad. The store "offered" to buy back the watch at 500 pounds less than what I paid for. Typical pawn shop scam. Be careful when ordering watches online that "guarantee authenticity" or are labeled "mint condition".

I trusted this business to service two luxury timepieces: my Rolex Datejust and my wife's Cartier…read moreBallon Bleu. Unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly disappointing. The Cartier recently stopped working after condensation developed under the crystal. Upon inspecting the watch, I discovered six of the eight caseback screws were completely missing. This watch has never been handled or opened by any other third party since it was returned to us, and it is kept safely in a mechanical watch winder. In my opinion, it is highly likely that the case back was not properly secured during the service, causing the remaining screws to work loose over time, destroying the watertight seal, and allowing moisture to ruin the mechanism. I sent a formal, private email to their service team to bring this severe oversight to their attention and requested an inspection. They have completely ignored my communication. While the service took place a few years ago, I expected a specialist workshop to stand by their craftsmanship--or at the very least, respond to a loyal customer. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.

They don't do this; they just sent me a quote for £695, mis-describing the condition the watch was in (saying it was scored with scratched glass etc. - in fact it is in superb condition having only been worn a handful of times) and without even removing the back and looking inside. A deceptive bunch who don't do what they say they'll do.

Horrible man, do not go!…read more This business's owner is extremely rude and fails to deliver. I ordered a watch strap (as he did not have the right size in) and it only arrived 10 days after I placed the order, when he said it would take a couple of days. More importantly, this man is very impolite and refuses to acknowledge his wrongdoing, let alone apologise and compensate me. He did not follow up on an item which should have arrived within 2-3 days (this is not a fault of the post but of his relatinoship with the manufacturer sending it out), and he did not even call me out of courtesy to let me know of the delay, NOR when the watch finally arrived even though he had promised he would call. When I called to complain he refused to acknowlegde his wrongdoing and conciliate. This is very unfortunate as I have pre-paid but otherwise I certainly will not, ever, be going back. He was also closed on Saturday when he claims he is "normally" open and replied, rudely, to me "well I have a life outside of this business so keep your nose out" when I asked politely why he claims he is open when he is not on Saturdays. I really would advise you NOT to give this man a penny.

Anyways...bf was looking around for a specific strap for his watch I guess he found through their website.. They had lots of different brands of watches...I'm not a big watch person so I'm kind of going off what my bf said and he thoroughly liked the store He said he would recommend the place And as a side note...first world problems...but they didn't offer any water or anything like other watch stores we've visited before lol but that wouldn't deter us from visiting again if ever back
I have wanted a stainless, white faced Rolex Daytona for years…read more Like everyone else, I could never find one. Well, one that wasn't used or selling at a massive premium (50%) to Rolex MSRP, which is never a good feeling, so I always declined. Until one Monday afternoon my wife and I walked past the Wempe Boutique on Bond Street and just for a laugh, thought we'd take our chances and asked a question that usually elicits nothing from the person behind the counter but a smile or sarcastic remark. Except today we got a 'Let me see...' and with that, my hopes up. Then this smiling german man walks in our direction with a white face stainless, on a felt tray, a day from the factory and tells me (with a smirk on his face) that they cannot sell for more than Rolex MSRP, and that with my passport, I will also get 20% VAT back on it when I fly home to the US. My credit card practically bounced off the counter. From fitting my wrist to explaining service, even automatically calculating and filing my VAT refund in advance - the service, style and overall experience we had at Wempe was just what you expect from a legendary jeweler on Old Bond Street in Mayfair. They also seem to get strong Rolex allocation, so if you are looking for a rare or hard to find new Rolex model, this should be a good place to start. Danke.

No doubt the work was done efficiently, but I was weirded out about how I was treated by him.
