I have not had a problem with my pups following grooms neither physically or emotionally, so I have continued to bring them. However this time was the last time, undoubtedly. When I arrived to pick my Yankee up I was surprised to hear that their credit card system was not working. I do not carry cash on me and since I live so close by I left my phone behind when I left to pick up my dog. The girl at the counter was kind when she asked if I could zelle the payment when I got home, which I had no problem doing. However the "manager" (Chelsea I believe was her name), apparently didn't like the idea of that. She walked over with a nasty attitude asking me "what the problem was" and told me she would not be giving me my dog until I paid. Meanwhile my puppy was screeching for me and scratching under the gate. Obviously this was not a great way to approach the situation and I told her to call her boss to take my card info and let her know I will no longer be bringing my business there because of her managers treatment of me. She had a smirk as if she could care less, which is probably the case to be honest and that's just fine. And they don't know me or all the business I have sent their way that will also follow me after such disrespect. Such a shame. This place was really great until they started hiring these kind of people. Miss the old staff! I will be trying another place next month.

Our Westies are our universe, and not only Dr. Denyer, but the entire staff takes care of our puppies as they would their own pets. From the friendly and informative staff we speak with when calling in to make an appointment to the techs initially meeting with you in the exam rooms, every interaction with the staff is a total pleasure. The techs and Dr. Denyer always listen to all of our concerns during our visits, and they handle our guys with love. The interaction and bedside manor that vets have with pets is such an important factor, and everyone here is gentle, careful, and genuinely loving with their patients-- they treat them like their own. These guys are just as great handling the humans that walk in the door. After a visit with Dr. Denyer, with the time and care she takes to explain what's happening, what likely caused it, steps to take to resolve or prevent it happening again-- you feel like you've walked out with at least a minor in veterinary science. She reviews your options, advises best future practices, and if she doesn't know the exact answer to a question, she takes the time to research the issue, and she gets back to you. She also follows up with phone calls after teeth cleanings and surgeries to make sure everything is okay. This woman is a powerhouse of intelligence, capability, and compassion. I tell every single one of my pet owning friends about Dr. Denyer. I've never met anyone else who has the combined compassion, skills, and resources to take care of our West Highlands.
