My otolaryngologist recommended Hudson Valley Speech & Swallowing, and thankfully they quickly scheduled my consultation. I met McKenzee, an outstanding voice therapist and human being. She assessed my needs and provided me with numerous resources for practice and instruction. After weeks of effort, it became clear that I would need surgery although I had made great progress. McKenzee encouraged, educated and inspired me throughout one of the most difficult times in my life. She approached each of our sessions with enthusiasm and great preparation. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, even though many times I was frustrated by my own physical limitations; and left each session with practical strategies as well as an increased motivation to improve. I have always looked forward to my voice sessions. Hudson Valley Speech & Swallowing is a very happy place. The office staff is cheerful and extremely accommodating. They work hard to explain insurance issues and always go out of their way to help with scheduling. This place stands out to me because it is small and intimate yet big enough for my children to grow. I walked out of there each morning knowing my kids were safe, happy and learning. I never had to wonder which is priceless. I prefer centers over home daycares and this school has the safety aspect covered (centers have more stringent rules) and it still feels like you're leaving your child with family. I especially love the amount of play my kids got, the large outside play area that includes a nice sized grassy area with play equipment and a covered area for rainy days. The staff is mature and very caring and most have been employed at Noah's for many years! I love the traditional child activities that help a child grow like imaginative play, fantastic art projects, holiday surprises and more. Noah's Ark has always been flexible with regard to my schedule. My kids always enjoyed the camp too. A fun filled theme centered day and swimming in a perfectly sized pool. They create a fun and safe space for children to learn through play and truly love being part of the kids' first "school" experience. My daughter has been out of the school for three years and still wishes she could go back and considers her friends from nursery school her best friends. My daughter was so sad to leave the school her teachers wrote and mailed her letters over the summer and throughout the whole next year. I'm so happy my youngest is now experiencing the co-op. Highly recommend this community to anyone who wants their child to experience a small amount of independence in what, in my opinion, are appropriate hours for 3 - 5 year olds.
