I've lived here for 2 years. And it's right behind the police station...from afar the ascetics are seemingly decent. But when u get within 100 ft of the building you will become disgusted. Dog feces are scattered throughout the property as though they are land mines. Trash is strewn throughout the building. The elevator reeks of urine from where multiple resident allow there pets to relieve themselves. The rent is too high for the limited amenities. Apartments are nice though. It's just the maintenance of the building. Parking is excellent as well and building is very secure. One of the safest buildings I've ever lived in.

This is just an example of one day garbage

I've literally had it with this place . I can not wait till my lease is over . First let me begin the super to the place Tom is quite amazing . Very helpful , friendly and does what he can with this crap hole. Now in April or March of 2016 the management changed to Salem management . When I first moved in the interior had me wood floors , practically new . On my floor any how . The people seemed friendly looked like working people . They have a patio area . I used to love to come out here let my dog have a breather hang out with family and friends . Now ! Wow have things changed. If you're looking for a place where you can smoke weed all fucking day !! Come here you will fit in great . Me on the other hand not so much . The patio is always with these hoodlums who sit in a pack and smoke weed some days there are groups of them ! The cops have been called numerous times even inspection to the house . People like this just don't care . Literally I feel high just walking through there . These people are here at all times of the day . 12pm you can find them in their Jammie's smoking . With their kids doesn't matter !! Beyond that this parking lot is freaking filthy . There is always glass and McDonald's trash bags , looks like the tenants that live here probably get trashed at night and just throw garbage any where they dam well please . So be careful walking your dog because the outside of this place is filled with garbage and glass my poor little dog nearly cut her self once . So you tell me you work your ass off all week to pay 1600-1800 dollars because it's 75 to park in garage if you get a space your lucky if not you have to go to the township to pay 75 just to park in that dirty ass lot . If not be were you will get MULTIPLE tickets . So you pay all that amount for about 700-800 Sqft just to live with people who bring the hood to you're home ! Absolutely not . Salem management shame on you ! You have ruined this building allowing tenants that shouldn't be here move in .

Wait...do I really have to give it 1 star just to post? My fiancée and I have been here for 13 months and our lease is FINALLY up this month and let me tell you we are running FAR away! I have to admit, Tom, the building super is great! It is the management companies we have had to deal with that are absolutely terrible. Tom is friendly, and is there if you have a problem, but he is just one guy and there is only so much he can do to tame the animals at this shit-circus. At first glance, it seemed great online; smoke-free, luxury building. The smoke free part was emphasized so much in the lease that we were afraid my fiancée, who is in the cigar industry, would have an issue simply carrying packaged cigars in and out of the building to go to work. Upon moving into the complex we immediately had issues with smoking (like, literally the same night). We emailed Merida (the original management company) and they said that there was nothing they can do if people smoked in their apartment, which was all the more confusing since the language of the lease inferred that you could be water-boarded for simply thinking about a cigarette. Then a few months later the management changed to Salem Management. At first it looked like they were going to make some changes and we were hopeful. Now months later we realized all they do is put final notice stickers on the cars and don't ever pull the trigger and tow someone. It would be nice to be able to swing in the round about to unload groceries, but the parking lot the tenants have created makes that impossible. Next, to even call this place a "luxury building" is an absolute, utter JOKE. The "gym" consists of two treadmills, a bike, an elliptical, and some weights. The floors are always a mess and I shit you not, I have found chicken bones (YES CHICKEN BONES) in the hallways and elevators. Who the absolute fuck is just eating chicken and throwing bones everywhere?! If you have a dog, it is "suggested" that you utilize the back elevator and stairs out of "courtesy to your neighbors", but the back area is so full of dog shit since no one cleans up after their dog. No courtesy is left in us to give. After stepping in shit so many times, I usually use the front area, which isn't much better because it is always full of trash and broken glass from the hoodlums using the domes across the way. Don't worry, they will introduce themselves at 2AM if you leave your windows open. Also the trash rooms are disgusting. Lazy ass people leave their cardboard and trash just on the floor in the trash room. Now onto the people that live here. This is the fun part. Where do I start.... Let's see..I'll start off with the drunk woman who passed out on our floor one night and threw up all over. Fun night. The puke stain was there for weeks even after emailing management. I was harassed and threatened by three women after THEY almost ran over my dog! If you like to smoke weed THIS is the place for you! If you get the lucky apartment (which we have) you can go into your bathroom and get high off of the neighbors smoking and sometimes it even lingers into your bedroom. I kid you not it smells like snoop dog is hitting a bong 24-7 right underneath our vanity! We have emailed management SEVERAL times about this issue and nothing has been done to resolve it. So folks if you're looking for a place where you: -Pay $75 for a parking spot yet a handful of people make a parking lot of the roundabout so they don't have to pay. -Live amongst hoodlums that smoke weed everyday, and live in squalor. -Have a management company tell you they are working on a problem for months that they never fix. -Have at least 50% of the elevators broken 100% of the time. -Want good police response times. They are right behind the building and you'll probably need them at least once or twice in your stay. -Want third-world country water pressure. Good luck washing dishes....no garbage disposal either...SUPER LUXURY buildings only I guess. Look no further this is the place for you!

This building has gotten so ratchet. It wasn't like this when I first moved in 8 months ago but now it's just crazy. People leave garbage around, yell in the courtyard which has a very loins echo and 2am and literally the elevators are always out. If you have a infant child and need a stroller or need a wheelchair forget about an elevator. The back elevator has been out for 2 months now but they are so quick to put rent checks in everyone's door 4 days before rent is due. FUCKING CRAZY! I wish I never moved into this place. When I first moved in it was nice and quiet and felt luxury but now it feels like section 8 housing. They keep putting up all of these rent incentives encouraging people to move in but all they are doing is attracting the wrong crowd. So disappointed. UPDATE: i HATE it here. DO NOT MOVE HERE! You will regret it. I'm so pissed. They don't care about the tenants.

I lived in this apartment community for many years and, while there were things I liked about it,…read morethe ongoing issues eventually led my family to move. The biggest problem was the noise. The walls are very thin, so it was easy to hear neighbors. Another concern was that some dog owners didn't keep their pets under control. My children were scared several times while using the stairs, which made them uncomfortable in their own home. Maintenance and management were also disappointing. Issues we reported were rarely resolved in a timely or effective way. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and often difficult to use. The most frustrating part was the yearly rent increases. Instead of offering incentives to loyal, long-term tenants, management seemed more focused on promoting referral bonuses. After years of rising rent without meaningful improvements, we decided it was time to move elsewhere. I'm not sure if tenants didn't just respect Edwin, the the manager, regarding noise complaints or something else. I appreciated the years I spent here, but I hope management addresses these concerns to improve the experience for future residents.

The community is aesthetically pleasing, the apartments are beautiful and cozy, and the amenities included with the unit are worth the price in my opinion. However, the experience became unfavorable due to discriminatory behavior towards low-income renters and Section 8 recipients. Initially, I was informed that they accept Section 8 vouchers. I completed two applications and was initially told that my credit and income did not meet the criteria, which was conveyed to me before I informed Marta, the property manager, that I possess a Section 8 voucher. When I disclosed to her that I had a Section 8 voucher, she instructed me to fill out another application and submit my voucher with the application. I did so but didn't hear from her for days until I called her several times. She finally filled out the Landlord packet for the voucher but never confirmed with me that she had filled out and sent the voucher back to Section 8. I was informed by Linden Section 8 there was a potential landlord packet submitted. Linden Section 8 sent them an offer, which Marta refused due to a low offer. It is well-known that Section 8 does not pay market price for rent, so landlords who accept Section 8 vouchers should be aware of this. I felt misled and disappointed. Now I understand why there are numerous negative reviews regarding their property manager and leasing practices, as well as a high turnover rate for the community. It appears that Michael the maintenance manager, is the only highly respected individual at Lindcrest Apartments, and I was eager to meet him based on the numerous positive reviews about him. I intend to contact the mayor and Governor Murphy's office regarding Lindcrest Apartments.

Biggest DISAPPOINTMENT for such a beautiful building!…read more So I seen this building upon it being built and was super excited to visit when I learned I would be moving back to the area. Starting off, I must've called the main number several times just to try to schedule an appointment with a leasing agent- however to no avail no one would pick up the phone or call me back. I had to have a friend go to the building and reach out to someone on my behalf to have someone call me back. To be clear, I FLEW up here from out of state; the goal was to fly in, view the apartment and lock in one of the units - that's how I excited I was about moving in. I meet up with Nick (Director), whom took me on the showing. The first question I ask him is about parking; at which he delivers SUPER DISAPPOINTING news and tells me the parking is full- if I move in I would have to find parking on the street. I asked the ETA for parking to become available- he said there is none. 2K A MONTH AND THERE IS NO PARKING!????? He said both parking lots are full. I asked him about the new buildings being built - he said that parking will be for new tenants with 2 bedroom units only smh. Next- although the corner apartment was beautiful- there were no elevators near it! We had to walk down a really long hallway (seemed almost like a 10 min walk) just to get to the unit! Lastly, and most importantly I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING "PROFILED". I was asked what do I do for work, how long I been there, told I would have to have good credit and questioned about documentation for my pets even when I told the agent before I came in that I had the necessary documentation needed to secure this unit. He then told me in but so many words, the documentation for my pets needed to be legit as they are very strict. This was EXTREMELY INSULTING because I didn't know what other documentation he expected me to have!? The biggest question that you have to wonder is were these same questions being asked to "everyone"? Overall, as beautiful as this building is- it was not worth the price tag. FYI- the leasing agent "Jasper" asked me the same questions when I asked about Meridia in Linden. I asked him to call me so that we can have a "conversation" he told me that he could not call only text and then proceeded to ask me if I had good credit and did I work or was I a student. The leasing agents could use some training.

At the time they were offering 2 months free to use in the beginning of your lease and allowed us to hold the apartment for 2 1/2 months until we were ready to move in. We moved in August 2020 and from that day on we noticed some unpleasant surprises about the property. - The gym was closed for 2 months with no amenity fee reimbursement. - The amenities closes at 7pm everyday because the maintenance staff leaves work at 7pm. This does not give the residents who work from home late or travel from work enough time to enjoy the amenities. - The apartment appliances and paint on the walls are cheap. Our cabinet door in the bathroom suddenly came off, the paint on the walls are easily damaged with 1 touch and our shower faucet broke while I was taking a shower. - the bedroom door constantly becomes loose and squeaky. -There is not enough guest parking. - The elevators are ALWAYS broke you have to walk through the garage to get out the building. - you have to pay an extra amenity fee for the business center. (Non sound proof private rooms, and this amenity fee can be added at anytime but not removed). - if you don't live on the top floor, you will hear your neighbors foot steps above you. Which is very disturbing. - While in the business center, I can hear the weights from the gym banging from the first floor. Mind you the business center is on the second floor. -The management experience can be much better. The maintenance team RJ and Kevin makes this experience worth it because they are always helping and making sure the residents are comfortable. Some Pros to the building are: - Luxe package - the residents - transportation -A lot of cabinet space - Quiet - The apartment is not half bad, one of the nicest apartments I have seen. - A few great restaurants and stores in the neighborhood. - Linden Clark and Elizabeth is 5 minutes away and you have access to ShopRite, Target, Starbucks, Homegoods, Wholefoods and other great stores. -The trash rooms are surprisingly clean.

I think I know why but I've been here for 1 week and here's what's going on. We went to the leasing office 5 days before our move-in date to pay our security deposit and 1st month's rent. We didn't think we would get the keys until move in day but we wanted all the paperwork out of the way so all we had to do was pick up the keys. The office staff would not let us sign the lease nor would they take our checks. They did let us look at the place and we found a live electrical outlet without a cover and roaches. We took the keys back to the office and told them. On move-in day, it took almost an hour to do the paperwork and get keys - all the while we were paying movers to stand there and wait on us. We opened the door, killed 3 roaches and the live electrical outlet was still unprotected. Maintenance responded pretty quick after I called them on day 2 and put a cover on the outlet - exterminators came on Wednesday, Day 3, and said it would take a couple of days to work. Today is day 4 after the spraying and we're still killing roaches. I think the spray just pissed them off. Day 3 - Gas was turned off because the tenants before us didn't pay their bill. We had to get a verification of residency which we didn't get until Friday, day 5 of the move and it was after 430 the afternoon before Memorial Day. The best we can hope for a hot shower, cooking and drying clothes again is probably going to be around June 6 or 7. The Gas company couldn't even find our address without the meter numbers. Also, we went to put some dishes in the dishwasher and pulled on the door and the whole dishwasher came out from under the counter. Another service request. Day 4 - Unplugged the hair dryer and the GFCI outlet that is supposed to trip if there is a short, started sizzling and the outlet did not trip. I had to turn off the breaker to kill it. Maintenance responded pretty quick but the guy who responded to change the outlet knew about as much about electricity as I know about brain surgery (I work in construction). He almost burned the place down and they finally sent an electrician on day 5. I also tried to connect my cable boxes to the TVs upstairs. Finally called customer service and after all the things they could do, told me the in-wall outlets were apparently not connected to anything. Day 5 - Electrician is here re-wiring the bathroom outlet with a maintenance guy. I asked maintenance about the cable outlets and after some head scratching, it was determined the cable hanging from the ceiling in the laundry room, is the cable that is supposed to be in the wall and connected to the cable outlets. That's another service request we need to do. Day 6, 7 and 8 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday Memorial Day) cold showers, eating in restaurants for every meal unless you want a sandwich or cold cereal. This is not good.
