The peppermint tea was light and refreshing, just perfect for a hot summer's day. The kitchen inside was a hive of activity, as more and more people descended on the tea rooms. I was only in Newquay for half a day and I went there three times.. and I was on a strict diet, no treats or sugary food but walking down the Newquay high street and seeing this small little shop I couldn't help myself.. it's like a little curiosity shop that you can't help but enter. I have a soft spot for Panamanian coffee, as my parents lived there for a few years, but I think any objective taster would agree that this was good stuff. Anyway: perfectly pulled espresso, great temperature (hot, not warm), perfect amount of milk steamed just right. And a cute space in a good location, friendly and laid-back barista, and wonderful-smelling bags of coffee all around the shop. Oh, and a bottle of tap water provided on the table! The only problem with this place is that it's in Falmouth instead of London, so I won't visit as often as I'd like.
