I'm honestly really disappointed with this specific experience at Water Stone Ranch. First, the bathrooms are absolutely unacceptable. Both the one in the back and the one near the cars were extremely dirty every time we've visited. There was liquid all over the floors (and honestly, I really hope it was just water), used tissues everywhere, no soap available, and the paper towel dispenser was jammed. The tiles were cracked and filled with dirt and what looked like urine, and the sinks were filthy. This has been the case every visit, which shows serious lack of maintenance. Second, the management was extremely unprofessional. The employees themselves were actually great, friendly and polite, but the owner's behavior was shocking. When we arrived, we saw multiple groups with outside food and drinks, including full boxes of pizza and other meals, coolers, and more. There was no clear signage or policy stating that outside food or drinks weren't allowed. If that is a rule, it needs to be clearly communicated, not enforced by embarrassing guests. Overall, between the consistently filthy bathrooms and the rude, unpredictable management, this place was a very negative experience. The staff was kind, but unfortunately that doesn't make up for everything else. I hope they improve someday. read more

This is an outdoor restaurant on a Ranch. It is a bit far out like into the countryside because it is a true ranch. It was hard to find at first because there is no large sign or instructions on how to get to the restaurant. You will have to drive through gravel and maybe pot holes. When I reached the destination I parked and there's an area with hanging lights up above and once you walk further the restaurant is there. There's also a playground for kids. It looks like they would be limited on parking. I don't recommend coming here after it rains your shoes will get muddy. The server is very friendly and explains everything. The breakfast is unlimited at $25 per person. It reminded me of a charcuterie board but you know Turkish style. It's an outdoor restaurant so if you prefer to eat inside this is not the place for you. With outdoor eating you have the weather, views, and insects-flies and bees. The experience is worth it though. It is more of a hang out spot though. read more

The floors were not clean witj mscraps of food, skewers on the floor. Their tables had slits on them had dried food stuck on it. Since it's an open set up, with animals outside, it was a nice scenery however flies from these animals get into the restaurant itself and to where the customers are at. The ambiance of this ranch is chill as you can overlook a small pond, a few sheds, playground equipment, some farm animals, and a nearby road. The setup of this ranch is more rundown-looking than rustic. There isn't much of a parking lot just parked in the muddy dirt ground and felt concerned since my vehicle isn't four-wheel drive. I came with a group of ladies and the seating was okay; some chairs had stains while others had holes torn through the cushion. I sat down and looked through the menu, it was vast meat options and only a few veggies. I ordered the hummus with falafels and a side vegetable salad. My food came out very quickly: while the other ladies in my group had to wait up to an hour or longer. One of the ladies didn't get her meal as our waiter had forgotten blaming it on his busyness with other tables. The falafels were delicious and packed with flavor. The hummus was basic, nothing too special, the standard creaminess with olive oil drenched in the middle, but not seasoned with anything. The vegetable salad consists of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, white onions and sprinkled with a lot of parsley here and there. The salad was extremely bland and tasted purely of the vegetables themselves. So, I added some salt and pepper to try to bring out the flavor, but it wasn't happening. I couldn't even finish it because of how tasteless it was. The mint lemonade is served as an ice slushy which isn't described in the menu. I thought it would be in liquid form, but it wasn't. It had shredded pieces of mint it in. The service was very strange; our waiter was available for some parts of the evening, but by dusk, he was MIA. Our food was brought out by different people who couldn't take extra orders since they weren't the waiter. When our waiter did come, we had to individually spell out our names to create a separate tab. Someone in our group ordered hookah in the beginning, but it never came. I give this place two stars because I've been to better Turkish restaurants that were up to standards, this restaurant is lackluster at best. Overall great time there. Lots to do, very good grilled meat for lunch, excellent breakfast array, and great tea and coffee and dessert to close out the day. Fun for the entire family. We took very large groups and all had a good time. ATVs, horses, donkeys, playgrounds, hammocks, prayer area, and more. Only comment is that the service could be a little easier. Oh boy, where do I even start? We made the grave mistake of celebrating Eid at this chaotic mess of a restaurant on March 30th at 4 PM. We were a party of 13, full of hope, hunger, and Eid spirit--and left with nothing but regret, frustration, and possibly food poisoning. Overcrowded, smelly, and the kind of place that makes you question all your life choices before you even step inside. Once inside, the confusion really kicked in. There were lines. So many lines. Were they for food? For water? For judgment day? No one knew. We played a live-action version of "Where's Waldo?" just trying to figure out where the buffet line started. Ah yes, the buffet. Or should I say, the Hunger Games. The line was so long we aged a few years just standing there. But we had already paid for 13 people, so there was no turning back. We had grandparents, kids, and every single one of us looked like extras from a survival movie by the end. And what were we waiting for? Undercooked food! The rice was still crunching like cereal. The chicken? Raw enough to still have hopes and dreams. I posted a picture, and no, that white stuff isn't garnish--it's uncooked rice. Yum? The cherry on top? When we asked the owner (who was standing right behind this tragic buffet) why everything was such a disaster and where we could find a drop of water, his response was: "We didn't think there'd be this many people." Visiting this ranch is definitely an experience! Yes, it's a bit of a drive, but once you're there, it's worth the trip. However, parking is limited considering how many seats are available in the restaurant area. We arrived around 12:30 with plans to grab a small breakfast, explore the ranch, and then enjoy lunch at 2:00. When we sat down and asked for the breakfast menu, there was some confusion. The staff kept nodding and saying "yes, breakfast," but it seemed like they didn't quite understand what we were asking. When breakfast arrived for the four of us, we realized it was a set menu - and what a breakfast it was! The assortment included perfectly sweet fruit jams, fresh cheeses, multiple types of creamy butter, olives, vegetables, french fries, spring rolls, an egg dish, and the star of the meal: thick, fresh, and doughy pita. We soon realized we wouldn't have room for lunch after all! We ended up staying at the table for almost two hours, enjoying the endless fresh bread they kept bringing out upon request. Plus, we didn't want to leave the comfort of the jumbo fan. The June heat is no joke! The food and drinks were easily the highlight of our visit, and I'd give them a 4/4 rating. (FYI: water is an extra charge since they only offer bottled water). The service was good, and the waiters were sweet, but the place is so large that if you need anything, you'll often have to go find someone to make your request. The menu could use some clarification, and it would be helpful if they had more staff who could speak English to better accommodate guests and attract a more diverse clientele. As for the horseback riding, it could've been better organized. There wasn't any clear signage explaining how to ride or what to expect. I paid for a ride, but it ended up being more of a slow walk with a guide holding the reins the entire time. Since the guide didn't speak much English, it was a bit dull. I think this would probably be better suited just for kids. All in all, I'd love to return and try the lunch. Now that I know what to expect, I can better plan my visit. I wish I would've paid attention to the negative reviews. For starters, the customer service is non existent. We were there for 1.5 hour and were only checked on ONCE. How are you gonna charge gratuity when you didn't do anything. Breakfast was $25 per person which is outrageously expensive for what it was. Although the food was unlimited, we didn't get the opportunity to ask for more food because there were no servers on sight. Nobody ask or offered us water/beverage for 50 minutes. It wasn't until a lady noticed that we didn't receive the tea that was suppose to come WITH the platter. Everything that was served could've been purchase from Walmart or HEB. Nothing tasted different or special; straight up bland. I considered giving this place 2 stars but with how disgusting the restrooms were I felt like it was appropriate to give this place ZERO stars. If you're in Rosharon or willing to make that drive, it's definitely a unique experience. You'll pull up to a large farm with all sorts of animals in sight. There's not a ton of parking but we managed to get a decent spot. Which is odd because there is so much seating to eat. I must've missed seeing another parking area. You can sit wherever you like but make sure the staff sees you as the place is so big they might not realize you're there ready to eat. Pro tip: it's a covered, but outdoor space. Make sure to sit near the fans! Their brunch is basically $30 a person. They bring a huge centerpiece with all sorts of cheeses, bread, vegetables, meats, and sauces. The center of the centerpiece is a combo pot of hot tea and water. They will explain on what pairs best with what if you aren't familiar with Turkish food. Our group of 4 was stuffed after our meal. After your meal they offer horse riding for $20 or just general petting for all the farm animals out there. It was super hot the day we went, but definitely would have hung around longer for this had it been cooler. This place came highly recommended by a friend of mine. I had been following on Instagram for some time after hearing about it and finally made the drive there this past weekend to try their Turkish breakfast. We showed up at around 10:30am on a Saturday and there was only a few other people there. Turkish breakfast is $25 per person and it is all you can eat. It was my first time trying Turkish breakfast and the spread was absolutely beautiful and delicious. If you look online on their website you can find a breakdown of everything that comes in the spread along with pictures! The tea that came with it was absolutely delicious as well. We ordered the turkish coffee and omg that was probably my favorite thing out of the whole meal. The ranch is huge and there are so many things to do. They have a variety of animals that you can pet or play with. You can even ride one of their horses if you want for a fee. Service was a little slower once they started to get busy at around 11:30-12 but the waiters were always able to help once you flagged them down. Let me just say that this is a lovely place. The ambiance is perfect for brunch. Eating lakeside was an absolute treat for my a wife and I. The eating aria is surrounded on one side with a pond and the other with a nice pasture. The food was fresh and gave new meaning to farm to table as most of the vegetables were grown 100 feet away! The breakfast is great as a casual finger food type thing but the real star is the bbq after 2:30pm. I can't say enough about the wait staff. They are pleasant and welcoming . Party of 4 arrived around 11:30 to try the Turkish Breakfast. It's a little confusing at first because there are no signs anywhere on where to go or how to order. We sat down and eventually were acknowledged by a server. The entire visible staff are males. Very traditional place with a great a Turkish ambiance. The food! The entire traditional spread was delicious. From the black and green olives, cucumbers, cured sausage, dips and sauces, eggs, fresh cheeses, fresh tomatoes, fresh-baked bread, fruit preserves and jams, honey, pastries, and sweet butter all of it was not only presented in a beautiful way but the freshness and taste was present as well. The Turkish Tea topped it off. We sat, talked, laughed and ate until our heart content. We were a little intrigued by the barbecue options beginning at 2:30 PM so we decided to walk the grounds a little bit and make time to try those out since we live about an hour away. We went back into the open air dining area and sat... no one really came to greet us, so we walked up to what seemed to be the ordering section for the meats in the back. This is a walk up, pick your meats that are put on a tray and you take them to the grill and cook them yourself.. we decided to pay an extra five dollars per person to have them cook it for us. We opted for the lamb shops, beef meatballs, Baba Ghanoush (mashed eggplant paste like dish), Mushroom Butter Cheese (stuffed mushroom caps) Hummus and the Yogurt with Cucumber and Garlic as well as the Kunafa for dessert. We also tried the Barbican in the following flavors Strawberry, Apple, Pineapple, Peach, and Lemon. Lamb shops are a must, tender, juicy, full of flavor and just all around succulent. The beef meatballs we're not bad, but honestly nothing special. Baba Ghanoush was my favorite of the 3 dips we got. The fresh pita bread that was served was a perfect compliment to our meal. Out of all of the Barbican drinks that we tried, my favorite was the peach, and my least favorite was the strawberry, because of the very strong and prominent artificial flavoring taste. The rest were good. That dessert.. man how delicious. I had no more room but managed to finish it anyways lol. If you go with an open mind and understand that cultures are different and the way things are ran are different. All I can say is-- I can't wait to go back,so that should really be the end of the review. OK just kidding. The pro is they do barbecue or you can do it yourself, we opted for them to do it and because we weren't really sure how to go about it since we never barbecued anywhere else besides home, even though my husband is definitely the barbecue king in our family. Con was it took a while to get our food out. We got the lamb which was delicious and and bread and some other sides which came out cold, twice, for some reason but it's okay they got us hot bread eventually. It was a very picturesque day with the water and trees, so we got pics in while waiting for food to trickle out. We've got the ice cream cones as it was the Pakistani style of ice cream (kulfi) and we enjoyed that. I really liked that they had horseback riding for the kids little pony rights different farm animals and a big open area. We also saw other families enjoying with what looked like their extended family and I thought that was really sweet. We had got there with about an hour left to closing so next time I think we should go for a day trip, which seems to be best of your coming from around north Houston. I want to start off by saying if all the ranch type experiences I've been to in Houston this is definitely my favorite. Here are just some things to note before your visit. Check out the website, it's pretty detailed when it comes to what to expect. We went in for the breakfast and it's unlimited at $25 per person, kids under 4 eat for free. There a large variety of olives, and cheeses. The bread was also very good and it pairs nicely with the other spreads and toppings available. The tea is very yummy and goes with everything they give you. Keep in mind it gets really bitter as it cools down. They offer hookah as well as Turkish coffee for an additional cost. I'm unsure if the Turkish coffee comes with refills. They have two play areas for children outside that are nice as well as a trampoline and bounce house. They offer horseback riding but only after 2pm. All the animals look cared for and relaxed. There's definitely a bit of a language barrier with the staff but they are very friendly and sweet. I give this place a 5/5 for the experience. It is heartwarming to see a place designed for Muslims or those who admire halaal practices. They plan to open a masjid and community sports on site. The adana meat is very quick to sell out, therefore my group and I were only fortunate enough to try chicken, meatballs, and lamb shish. All of the meats were delicous. The hummus, salad, rice, and baba ganoush were also well made. oof, the bread was my favorite thing served, would love if they can have that an an option too. now, service is lacking. It is most likely due to the limited resources compared to the increasingly large crowds they are serving. The men in our group searched for things to start a fire for our group. Side note: I recommend coming here in warmer weather, the cold is tough on kids and older adults. The entire experience was set with wind blowing soot and smoke to our face. The grill was the least of our concerns. We had to ask multiple times for parts of our order so that killed the mood. Word to the wise- YOU NEED TO BE PATIENT. unlimited patience. This place has a wonderful concept and idea for a family oriented environment. However, I cannot get passed the customer service. It was HORRIBLE!! We waited well over an2 hours to get seated. Another almost 30 minutes for our waiter to our drink order, an hour for our food to come, and we never did get all of our order. Out poor waiter kept saying that he was so done with that place. I'm guessing it's even worse to be employed there! We drove almost an hour to get there because it was such good reviews but honestly the reviews that show good must be fake because there is NO WAY people are saying anything good about the service here. Yes the food is good and tastes authentic but they need to do something about staffing shortages and customer service. This place is overpriced and they are sneaky about their prices. They charged a $5 fee to have your food grilled, it had added gratuity that they don't tell you about and it doesn't matter if you get horrible service! We spent almost $100 for 2 people to eat lunch. It wasn't worth the drive! I will not go here again or recommend this place to anyone I know. read more
