Came here to try some Israeli inspired dishes. This place is a casual bare bones kinda of place that gets a fair amount of to go orders. I hadn't tried much in terms of Israeli food, which happens to be greatly influenced by its neighbouring countries. I was intrigued by the Romanian kebab, which my dining partner and I ordered. We also ordered a number of cold sides to accompany it along with a giant pita. The kebab was super juicy and nicely seasoned with some earthy herbs. The sides were nice and tasty. Pass on the dessert. It wasn't very good. There's some Israeli news channel on the tv, so I guess it would be a good way to catch up if you speak Hebrew.

Solid Israeli food spot! Food is simple but done right. People who work there are nice and food comes out pretty quickly. The hummus is so creamy! The hummus plate comes with mushrooms and onions, which I have never had in hummus before, and it's very delicious. It comes with fresh pita bread warm from the oven! Falafel platter is also good, the falafel is crispy and savory. Chicken kabobs were excellent. Meat was well seasoned and very tender. The fries were crispy and salty, could easily down a whole plate of them. The sides of cabbage and the tomato cucumber salad were light and refreshing. The other dish we had was essentially meat inside a pita that was grilled. So simple but really delicious. The charred flavor added an extra layer and it's also a great item to share. This food felt like a nice home cooked meal and was delicious all the way around.

It's been almost three years since our last visit. After todays exemplary meal, I'm wondering why. My wife and I split the Ela's Romanian Kabob plate. It was tasty with beef and lamb grilled patties and grilled vegetables, onion, zucchini, tomato, and mushroom. This plate came with a cold side and a hot side. We picked and enjoyed some tasty hummus and stuffed grape leaves. The young lady that took our order brought us a cup of vegetables, some spicy and all good, and a fluffy pita bread. We will be back and much sooner. We decided to eat lighter and share one plate, glad we did, it was all we could do to finish one.

Service is a little on the dry side, but the food is good. We usually get the lamb kabob labneh. It's a little pricey was the portion is very large. The fries are always soggy. The meat hummus is flavorful and their pita is alright. Chicken wings are probably from unpumped chickens because they were tiny.

Falafel with pickles, Israeli salad, hummus, and thina ‍

Delicious borekas and falafel Pick up the mushroom ones because they run out quick

Middle Eastern Cuisine. Kosher. Closest to authentic. I have been to many restaurants that serve middle eastern food, Dinos is definitely my favorite ! The food is always fresh and delicious. I eat here at least every other week. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely the best . I give five stars and two thumbs up. Bland and overpriced food, Fadis is way better. My friends didn't lime it either, the Falafel tasted undercooked and floury which was weird,

Some of the best Persian food in town! Avesta has some of the most rich and juicy high quality food…read morethat hits the spot. From generous portions to amazing naan bread I love love coming here. Their cherry rice is just top tier here and it goes so well. I had never had cherry rice before coming here and I'm hooked!. From the pictures you can see its quite a generous portions of rice so you'll be pretty full by the end of it. Kabobs beef/chicken, always extremely fresh, juicy, and rich in flavor. Hummus with the complimentary naan goes so well together I've came back year after years and am happy to report that their quality has remained the same. I always recommend Avesta when it comes to Persian food!

Avesta Persian Restaurant delivers a well-rounded dining experience with a warm, inviting ambiance…read moreand genuinely friendly service that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. It's the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for a relaxed night out with friends or family. We started off with the lentil soup, which was comforting and flavorful--light yet satisfying, with a nice balance of spices. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and elevated even more by the complimentary fresh bread, which came out warm and perfectly baked--easily one of the highlights of the meal. For mains, the Koobideh Combination stole the show. The kababs were juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with that classic smoky flavor that makes Persian kabobs so good. Definitely the standout dish and a must-order. The Salmon & Chicken combo was equally impressive--both proteins were tender, nicely grilled, and paired beautifully with the saffron rice and grilled vegetables, giving you a great mix of flavors and textures. We also tried the Soujuk & Cheese Lahmajun, which added a nice twist to the meal. It had a crispy base with rich, savory toppings, and the cheese brought everything together really well--great for sharing. Avesta is a solid go-to for Persian cuisine in Houston. Between the quality of the kababs, fresh bread, and overall flavor, everything hit the mark. Pair that with the great atmosphere and welcoming staff, and it's definitely a place worth coming back to

What a gem! I used to go to the Sugar Land location about 15-20 years ago and completely forgot…read moreabout this place. I was craving a good gyro and was reminiscing on the specific and perfect flavor of Droubis. So glad this place exists! It's a simple gyro with the necessary toppings (nothing over the top) wrapped perfectly in the most delicious and fresh pita. The price is very reasonable and the quality is top notch. The owner was still making sandwiches just like before! The taste was exactly how I remembered. And the hospitality hasn't changed either!! While waiting for my sandwich to be made, he offered us tea and apologized for the 5 minute delay (because he was making fresh pitas for the sandwiches). I will definitely be back!

$5.99 Lamb or chicken Shawarma!.... Need I say more?…read more This guy Mr Droubi is The OG, the original article, The Man, The Professor and Grand Master! Since 1979 he's been slangin shawarma, he's so goated that he's still servin the block and expanding. His students have moved on to other known Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern food establishments like Fadis and such, unfortunately everyone forgot that shawarma is a street food that helps the common man on his grind with an affordable meal but now these greedy guys are selling shawarma for over $15 "sides and drink not included" Mr Droubi is keepin it a hunit and I got mad respect for him. The falafel is also very delicious as well as their hummus and baba ganoush, they have house made pastries, dates, figs, feta, flat bread, imported EVOO etc. all in a chill store/restaurant, I can't wait to come back! May God continue to bless him and those around him
