We contacted Aviles Brothers about aproject involving putting in french drains, foilage, decorative…read morelandscaping, etc. They were excited to come out and take a look so they could provide a quote, but that's when things started to go sideways. The estimate appointment had to be rescheduled several times, with us checking in on them to see where they were as often as them calling to tell us they'd have to reschedule. That should have been a red flag. They finally came out and took a bunch of notes and measurements, and then went radio silent. We waited nearly a week for our estimate, and then called for a status. We received an excuse, and a promise that our quote would be ready in a day or two. Two days passed, so we called on the third day and got another version of the previous story. Lather, rinse, repeat. After their third failure to deliver we stopped calling, and we never heard from them again. In a way, we wonder if we were lucky. If this is how they handle relations with a prospective customer, how would things have gone during the project? And what if something in the project itself went wrong? It's a strange way to do business, that's for sure. (And I'm not sure why, but it appears they have two listings on Yelp. Hmmm... why?)

We wanted the leaves picked up and removed and not a lot of landscapers do this. I requested via email an appt for a quote. Immediately got a reply acknowledging my request. Had a phone call with someone who said he could get here two days hence and he arrived on time, sent a quote the next day. The crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. The gathered all the leaves and twigs and hauled them away, they trimmed a holly hedge and a few limbs from our trees. Definitely our go to guys. Next spring we will have a final cleanup of leaves not fallen yet and spreading mulch in our pristine beds.

The simple version is, it took multiple attempts to get our estimate appointment accomplished as they kepot canceling... and it was 50/50 whether we had to call to ask where they were vs. their telling us in advance. We were looking to do some french drains, landscaping, etc. After they finally came out, they said we'd have a quote in less than a week. Long story short, we never got it. After a week went by we called and got an apology, an excuse, and a promise. A few days later we called, and got another apology, excuse, and promise. After the third time this happened, we quit calling. We never heard from them again. It makes you wonder how they would be if you actually got the chance to hire them. Do they show up on time? Do they do good work? Do they stand by their work and fix problems without any hassles? We never got the chance to find out, but that in itself is kind of an answer.
