Waterfront Thrift Store - DVD selection - Furniture Stores Near Me - Milton, Florida

This was one of the places I'd take my Mom and it seemed like you could always find something you may want or need. It's a pretty decent sized place to go and carry furniture as well. Lately when we stop it seems as if they are getting way out of wack with their prices. We noticed for awhile now someone is getting crazy pricing things. They seem to start off with $2.95 no matter if it even came from the dollar tree. I've seen items that were originally cheaper than their asking price. Not only are you paying more for most items they ask when you check out if you want to round up to the next 1$!! I personally would not mind if prices were cheaper. They do however have one tag they discount I think weekly. Most the time your Lucky to find one or 2 items that color. Of course we know everything is donated so why be greedy asking such high prices. I wouldn't even stop here but it's close enough to my Moms house so it's easy to stop in. Ive even been here when a few people have made the comment they were too expensive and walked out. There is plenty of parking . The donation area you pull on the side to the rear of the building. The help is usually nice to deal with. I guess we will stop coming as often and maybe someone will take over the pricing and the word will get around fast, right now best to go if your looking for something in particular you might but get lucky. read more

This thrift store is VERY OVERPRICED!!! It is clean...organized...didn't really interact with the employees!! I've been to almost all waterfront thrift stores I'm headed out today to visit one in Crestview, Foley has one that is well priced, Pensacola has a nice one too!! The prices are ridiculous. I will never buy anything there when I can get the new, unused version of it for practically the same price. A used home foot spa was $18.99, while a brand new one, without someone else's toe dirt, is at Walmart, for $24.98. A used, not pre-lit, about 5ft tall Christmas tree was $129. One 3lb dumbell weight was $8.99, while a set of two from Amazon only costs $6.97. I understand they are using the money for charity, but it makes me wonder if they would make more money by selling more items at lower prices. It used to be fun to thrift to see what you could find and to stretch your dollar. Now I have to hunt for sales tags to get a "deal", which is what I consider to be a normal thrift store price. Everything should be on sale at a thrift store. Thrift stores are supposed to be a place where those who cannot afford new things can shop to provide for their families. I don't know how this pricing method is helping these local families. read more

Friendly people and a large selection of...all kinds of stuff. Some of the prices seemed high--especially for the furniture. The recliners were tagged at $299, which would be a good deal if they were new, but so much much after Cap'n Anonymous had his butt on it for hours. I picked up some nice bakeware to fit in my toaster oven for $0.99 per piece, which is a bargain. I couldn't believe how expensive that stuff is, even at Walmart. You have to rummage around to find stuff, but I'm willing to do that to save $10. I was aghast upon seeing a rack of women's underwear. The concept of anybody buying--and wearing--used underwear makes me physically shiver. For realz. Large number of paperback books, and I picked up one that I had been wanting to read for $1.49. That is less expensive than what I'd have to pay at the used bookstore, even after my credit for trading in a mountain of books that I'd read. None of the books are in any kind of order, other than being grouped by "Fiction," etc. Makes finding something that you want a treasure hunt, I suppose. read more
