The buildings look dated and needs some updating. It's located right on the golf course and has multiple swimming pools. These swimming pools are for the residents that live in the buildings nearby; you also have the option to go to the larger pool located at the clubhouse. Parking is plentiful; most are reserved but there are guest parking spots. There are many ponds and it's adjacent to a large canal. There are many people walking around the complex for exercise, usually on the street; however there are no sidewalks, so it is advised to walk against traffic. This location is central to many amenities. I'm there quite often because I have family that currently lives there. The units are privately owned; each unit varies based on the owners preference. The unit in the building I visit, there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, balcony, and wash/dryer. Each floor has a catwalk, stairs, and a really old elevator; each building has a trash and storage room. The views of the golf course and pond is lovely. The neighbors for the most part are quiet and friendly. The pool is usually nicely maintained except for one time, the water was so low and the filter wasn't cleaning it because of this. Landscaping is good; they have crews working on it weekly. Overall, a decent place to live for 55+ residents.

In fact, Florida as a whole was not my cup of tea back then and I unaffectionately referred to the entire state as "The Swamp." But at 57 years old, I feel quite differently about it all. When I was 18 years old, it was where my Grandparents lived. Now it is where I live 1/2 the year and I have fallen madly in love with my little piece of paradise, as I now quite affectionately call it. Our apartment here is beyond spectacular. Of course, there are many different types of apartments here. I think we have a "Rivera" apartment, which consists of 2 bedrooms, and two bathrooms, plus a storage/laundry room. I had a grand time decorating it, as it is one of my very favorite things to do in the world, but I am not going to be sharing any of those photographs below. Sorry. If the world were different than it is, that would be no problem, but it ain't! The grounds here are lovely and include a Main Clubhouse with a large pool and an outdoor jacuzzi and sauna, as well as 5 satellite pools that are located throughout Phase IV. The Main Clubhouse also has several high end barbecues available for the tenants to use off the pool area. Some are smaller and some are bigger than others. Satellite 5 is the largest of the satellite pools. Everyone is free is to go to whichever pool they choose despite what some people here will try to tell you. There is a huge golf course throughout Phase IV that is extremely busy, as well as tennis courts. In addition, there are several large pool tables (more than you would believe) and ping pong tables in the Main Clubhouse as well as in each individual satellite. The satellites have a pool table but not a ping pong table. But each satellite also has a shuttle board court. There is a borrowing library available as well as an exercise room where classes are held regularly in the Main Clubhouse. There are also countless clubs that are available for one to join depending on your interests. Throughout the year events and parties are scheduled, such as New Years Eve, and Valentine's Day dances, and are held in the party room. Some of these are free and some cost a moderate price. I have attended some of these and truly enjoyed them. Over the many years I have seen countless shows at the main Clubhouse. I am from NYC and was an avid theater goer. So Broadway is in my blood. Many of the shows that come here also play Las Vegas, and you can tell as many of them are seriously excellent, and the inexpensive prices make this an insider secret. The auditorium here is also lovely. They also screen fairly current films here weekly for the tenants. The shows are open to the public by the way. Anyone can buy tickets and attend these shows. Some of the more popular performers shows sell out quickly, and getting tickets to these at the last minute would be rather impossible. Tony Orlando is one such performer. Other performers, less well known are not as hard to buy tickets to at the last minute, which is 1/2 hour before showtime. It is a very different experience here (as well as everywhere else) during the COVID-19 pandemic, but despite the seriousness of this worldwide problem, my little piece of paradise continues to provide me with ways to entertain myself as well as stay safe. I have taken to occasionally feeding the wild life here. Wiggles, my favorite duck, (see provided photograph) is one of my favorites. There is also a squirrel near my parking space who I leave little offerings for at the base of his tree house. The tree has a natural small bowl in its roots which makes the perfect place to leave the assorted tidbits of food for my furry friends. There are the fishes in the lake I bought fish food for and assorted turtles, one I nicknamed "Oliver Twist" as he always wants "More!" that I feed on my daily walks throughout the Sunrise Lakes Phase IV grounds. Overall, I would have to say, there is a little slice of heaven here.

Visited this ultra modern condo on the winding New River next to the SE 3rd Ave bascule bridge…read more Firstly, as a disclaimer I do not reside here but my friends just moved in and we are looking to possibly move here too so we took a tour. These condo units are all owned but some people rent their units. Most of the units based on the views and size near the $1M mark. The rental condo units hover around $4,400 per month. As guests we had to use the valet service which was complimentary with optional tipping. The movie threatre room was a pretty good addition to the amenities. Just a few steps from the building are a plethora of riverside entertainment with restaurants and bars along the Las Olas Blvd.

It's nice not tons of cars are going to be around unless they have to absolutely be around there. I also wanted to live near water, but I also did not find anything I liked near the beach...so being by the river is nice. Plus I love seeing the boats pass by~ very soothing 2. The building & unit - elegant & creative. A beautiful bundle. This building has specific floor layouts for units I could not find elsewhere like built-in closet organizers for walk in closet, tub + shower + double sinks all in one unit- this was quite rare to find. *high ceilings only in select units* ~ amenities are nice; pool, sauna, mini movie theater, a gym. First, I would love to recognize the maintenance team. Chris, Kimberly, and Keenan are truly amazing. They are consistently kind, friendly, and professional, and they always make interactions pleasant. Their hard work does not go unnoticed. I would also like to recognize the door staff, Tisha and Jorgen. They are always welcoming, and my guests have only had positive things to say about their experiences with them. I do have a few concerns I'd like to bring to your attention. The rooftop pool was previously heated, and it appears that it no longer is. Additionally, the elevators are frequently an issue there is often at least one that is not working, which can be inconvenient. Lastly, I would like to share some feedback regarding the leasing office staff. With the exception of Jennifer, my experiences have not always been the most positive. While there has been some improvement, the level of friendliness and helpfulness has not been as consistent as I would expect. Jennifer, however, has always been pleasant and helpful. This results in family, clients, or work colleagues sending flowers, gifts on holidays, etc. being refused by the front concierge desk and returned to sender. They are supposed to accept perishables but often refuse so FedEx has to call me and I have to run downstairs to accept my flowers. Imagine FedEx caring and valuing the residents more than the company you pay rent to. Sad reality! The 3 elevators for the 20 story building are also down weekly resulting in long wait times for an elevator. I recommend you find another high rise in Young Circle that actually values their residents because I will as soon as my lease is up.

Sound can travel easily through the walls. There used to be somebody down the hall who would yell (and it was quickly figured out he was just video gaming) but it was pretty funny. He eventually stopped. Construction is currently happening in the apt next door -- I can hear everything. Same with the apt downstairs that has an affinity for blaring Spanish music. It's tolerable. Almost every night you hear somebody racing their car/motorcycle over the bridge, especially if you keep the windows open. I've lived with it but if you appreciate a totally quiet environment, you may find this a little challenging. Property management is a complete joke. There used to be somebody I knew to contact name Julia, but I heard through the grapevine that she's either been fired or she quit her position. There has been junk piling at the bottom of the stairwell of my building, which now consists of a large broken wardrobe, a can of paint, and a mattress. Yeah. A mattress. At one point, somebody legitimately left a bag of trash. I told one of the maintenance workers that this area was being treated poorly but she didn't seem to understand too well and when I came back, found the trash bag gone. Oh well, that's something! There was a cart there too, somebody had wheeled it in front of the maintenance office, I guess to prove a point. Guess where it ended up? Wheeled off to the side where it was no longer blocking the doorway. That's just laziness. I guess partial credit is due here since they know how to change a non-functional lightbulb. Other than that, I do enjoy being minutes away from downtown and the beach area. It eases the building problems a little bit. A convention center is being built across the inlet. It's definitely nearby a lot of the action. And then I come home, step in the elevator, and see the working permit has expired and is well past it's inspection date. It's not totally bad living here, just understand that there are certain underlying issues and you decide for yourself if it's worth it.
