Hamed came down and showed me around, let me take photos to send to the family and offered a discounted weekly rate. My family came and loved it. Comfortable, clean, efficient service when the door wouldn't lock. Quickly brought more blankets when it was cold. And 10% discount at brit's fish and chips! My family didn't have a car since we used mine that was parked at my home, but it would have been a pain to deal with parking on university if they had a rental. Great location, and quiet at sleeping time! Hallways smelled clean and fresh. New amenities and clean glass dishes in the cupboard. Highly recommended!

The pool tables look as if they're brand new and same goes for the cues and balls. The entire venue was sleek and extremely clean. There were many tv's playing a variety of different sporting events. I didn't even notice until we were leaving but there's also some slot machines! My friend said that on weekdays it's always empty and it was exactly that. We were the only ones playing pool along with a few others at the bar. Apparently it does get packed on weekends though! Also, it was nice that we could order pizza from the place next door and bring it to our table at Doolys and eat there. Where I come from (Toronto) that would be a big no-no, no outside food allowed. On a side note, the pizza and fries were great from the place next door. Overall great tables and we had a great time shooting around. We were there for almost 3hours and the bill came up to be $24 (also ordered a pitcher of soft drink) so it was very affordable. Not sure how many pool halls there are in PEI but I will definitely be back at Dooly's regardless! 5/5

It is well worth the price, a bargain to say the least! The food stand is beautifully designed and goes very well with the 50's decor of the whole place. They are always playing retro music before the show starts and they have beautiful decorations around the huge screen. You can see very well no matter where you park. The drive-in is clean and well-kept. Only drawback is that it gets a little buggy at night, but nobody can help that. Just bring blankets and bug spray. A fun and unique experience that the whole family will enjoy. They usually start out with a kids film (like Ice Age or Finding Dory) and then play a more grown-up film afterwards. By that time, your little ones will already be asleep. If you want to sit inside your car instead of in the chairs that they have set up down in front (or bringing your own chairs), you can sit in your car and tune your radio to their custom station, so that you can watch and listen in the comfort of your vehicle (with air conditioning and no bugs). Truly a great place! The owner is so kind. They do raffles on their Facebook page frequently for free tickets. And the owner has even posted his cell phone number on the side of the concession stand incase anyone should find themselves with a flat tire or a dead battery and should need assistance. You just can't find that kind of service and dedication to customer satisfaction anywhere anymore!! We have been here a million times and will be coming back a million times more! We love it!

Everything about this musical is perfect - especially if you love the Anne of Green Gables' books…read more And I do! The score is lovely and lilting. The trio of musicians is expert and lovely. Each and every one of the 17 cast members performs splendidly. Their voices are so rich and resonant. The harmonies are perfect. Not one person was less than perfect! If you haven't read the books, the story is simple and true to the stories, and it will catch you up with who is who. The actors are perfect for each of their roles. I was particularly enamored of Diana, Gilbert, and Anne. They are mesmerizing. Marilla & Mrs. Lynde are also amazing. They have rich, mature voices & are so true to their roles as kindred spirits. The set is simple, with two major, chameleon rotating pieces. When Gilbert swims, you won't get wet, by the way. The center circle serves as a screen for several images. Costumes are beautifully made. I wish that I could have taken pictures during the show, to savor each moment in the future. But I was completely immersed in songs and stories. My memories have my photographs for future reference. If you love Anne Shirley, Gilbert, & friends and family, find a way to travel to Prince Edward Island to see this exquisite show! Intimate experience. There is an exposition area while you wait for the doors to open. This is also where you get your beverages. The bad: Seats are not that comfy. You are sitting close to other people, almost touching. People who arrive late ruins the experience. Drinks downstairs is far from theatre itself. The theatre is cute and intimate, but the seats are not that comfortable and you easily hear people talk. Not my favourite venue.

A cool old house that became a…read more friend for friendless women. Beaconsfield House was build back in 1877 for James Peake, a very wealthy merchant and leading businessmen of Prince Edward Island. The house certainly reflects his wealth because it is absolutely gorgeous, with all the latest conveniences that the 19th century had to offer, including central heating, gas lighthing and running water. The Peakes even had a party that Princess Louise, the daughter of Queen Victoria attended. Real gaudy, ostentatious, high society, hooty tooty stuff. The house is located right on Charlottetown Harbor so it has beautiful views of the water. You pay your loonies and toonies and a very friendly and knowledgeable guide gives you a tour of the house. You are then free to walk around by yourself. Of course they can answer any stupid questions you happen to have and obviously love talking about the house. Unfortunately the economy back in the 1880's was as capricious as our present one and due to the collapse of the shipbuilding industry, Mr Peake lost all his money and only lived in the house for about five years. The new master was the eccentric and wealthy Henry Cundall. He never married and lived at Beaconsfield with his two sisters. When good old Hank died in 1926 he left the house to the town as a refuge for "friendless young women". So the house operated as a sort of a very elaborate and ornate type of homeless shelter for a few years. Then in the 1930's the Cundall House became a place for student nurses studying at the nearby hospital. Finally in the 1970's it was turned into the present museum. I love poking around old houses and talking to people that enjoy old houses, so the visit to the Peake house was great. What made it even more enjoyable was when some women came in that said they actually lived in the house years ago when they were studying to be nurses. You never know what unexpected treasures you are going to find in a great old house.
