More a 3.5/5 star experience, and here's why. I paid $20 for the automated wash level one step up from basic "Wash & Dry" - Already that's half of what I'd pay for a hand wash at a local competitor. My car has been ultra-pollen coated and it was time to do a deep clean. My first reaction coming out of the automated wash tunnel was that my car was still dripping water, the dry function was incomplete. I pulled into the self-cleaning bay with vacuums (on extension hoses) and a full suite of cleaning products, brushes, rags, and sprays - Amazing! I couldn't wait to try all the things. I put my cream colored floor mat through the automatic mat brush machine. It zoomed through in half of a second, got nothing out of the mat, and came out brown. Disgusting and such bad news for a cream colored mat - I learned my lesson so fast not to use that thing again. Beat it out by hand and used the hand vacuum to try and salvage it, but knew I'd have to hand wash it at home to get the gross out. The wash did not get the lower portion of my car clean, left build up gunk still on my car's lines and crevices, and somehow just didn't clean my roof. How does a car wash not clean your roof? I hand sprayed and wiped it down. I also made heavy use of the rags to clean my door jambs, trim, lights, dash, gadgets, and gas tank door. Their soft brush tire shine brush is great for getting into crevices and making sure your full wheel is glossy. The rags came in clutch for the grooves and indents of my wheel wells also. In all, the self-service stations are very well appointed, the vacuums are decently strong (not optimal, but decent) and you can do all the detailing yourself - so that's worth something right there. But to pay $20 to drive through a tunnel and then have to go back and hand-clean so much of your car, feels like a bit of an overcharge, IMHO. read more

I had to find a good time to come there because they get really busy, but it was a spectacular experience! The price is right and convenient for those that need regular washes or for me that just want a really deep clean once every season. The guys spent much time taking care of my vehicle, it was thoroughly spotless I must say. Plus, the waiting room was awesome with games, chilled temp, comfy seating and vending machine! Heads up, if you have a sedan, you must tell them to clean/vacuum the trunk (they only do so automatically with SUVs). I was very impressed and will be coming back. read more

I used this car wash for years but not anymore. While checking my debit card transactions, I noticed a charge for this car wash that I didn't make. I was there a month ago and had the vehicle fully detailed, I paid with my debit card. Upon further investigation, the attendant enrolled me into an automatic debit program which was NOT what I requested at the time of my last service. Kudos to my bank for catching it and I will most certainly go there tomorrow to get this straightened out. This is one of those scams where you don't know you're being billed for a service, and it could recur for years without your knowledge. So be careful what you ask for and if possible do not pay electronically. read more

We went to Waters car wash today, It was like 95 degrees outside and no telling what the temperature index was and I can't believe how professional and sharp dressed these guys are, and with a positive attitude. I'm amazed and to find out that they have no air conditioning in their break room or customers lounge. We just went through the car wash, didn't get any thing extra We didn't even use the vacuum, to hot for us old people. Monthly membership is truly a great value. I have been having my vehicles washed and full service cleaned for many years now. I always try to go during non peak times to avoid getting water spots. When they are really busy, you will likely get water spots due to having to wait your turn for full service. Best bet is to avoid rush times. Disappointed and regret every time I bring my car here. But today was the final straw. I get the full service interior and exterior wash. Arrived when it was sunny, guy spent 30 minutes opening and closing my driver side door to hide him being on his phone, just to have it start to rain. Did a rushed job vacuuming and wiping surfaces just to walk over 20 minutes after (now sitting a total of 50 min) and tell me that the vacuums were shut off, other people were still detailing the cars just fine, and that he couldn't detail the interior or exterior of my car any further because it was now raining. My car wasn't super dirty in the first place. I really just needed the small spaces wiped and vacuumed and yet when he was done, it was a complete waste of time and money. I have been coming to this car wash for years for my personal vehicle. I have my own subscription. But once a month I bring my mom vehicle to clean the car for her. I only get the basics because my mom doesn't care about the extra options. The employee Tyler knows who I am. I keep telling him to stop harassing me offers that I keep reminding him monthly doesn't apply to my moms situation because it's not a good deal for her. He doesn't care about the customers concern and keeps harassing me monthly. I have spoken to managers named Jessica, Michael and Devin. All 3 have told me the same thing. Nothing they can do. Only way to stop the harassment to buy a package deal. That's is not acceptable. When a customer says no, it means no. It doesn't mean keep harassing them until they buy. I'm told it's their job because they can get in trouble if they don't. This is a terrible business model to force the employees to harass customers until they upgrade their package. I have asked monthly starting from January 2023 till now September 2023 to stop. They are not stopping and now earned this bad review. read more

WARNING do not use Waters Car Wash... I bought my car 7 days ago zero scratches. Took it to water car wash 5 days ago and signed up for a month. On the third wash I ended up coming out with all kinds of swirly scratches. The manager Michael told me he could try to use clay soap to get the scratches out. I told him I want to scratch his fixed. Super torn when it comes to the review. First time I came here, I was super impressed and decided it was my "go to" car wash. I came a couple times after that but didn't sign up for the monthly plan because I get the basic wash and only come every 3-4 weeks so it didn't make sense. Yesterday, I checked my bank account and see a $30 charge from the car wash. I did not agree to sign up for a membership. I tried using their website to get a refund but they said that could only cancel future charges, I tried calling the office number, no answer. So I had to drive down to get a refund. They said they had "no idea" how I got signed up and issued a full refund. I assume someone trying to hit a quota signed me up hoping I wouldn't notice. I won't be back, which is unfortunate because I do think it's the best car wash in the area but I don't like the dishonesty and the pressure to sign up for a membership. read more

DO NOT GO! You can always judge a place by how they handle a situation when something goes wrong. A manager attendant to the bay entrance waved me forward right into the trailer hitch of the truck in front of me. After reviewing the cameras, they indeed saw what happened. The response was, "well you should be more aware of your surroundings". Ummm, no....I am watching you to direct me forward, assuming you are keeping an eye on my front bumper in relationship to the car/truck in front of me. All I wanted was an apology for not paying attention because he was clearly rushing because of the line of cars. After some words were exchanged the manager told me not to come back......lol, like I was going to anyway! Keep in mind, I've been going to this place for the past 5 years....2-3 times a week. I've never been so insulted by a company refusing to accept their own fault. Thankfully, gate car wash has a similar monthly car wash plan.....so I will be going there from now on! Excellent customer service!!! Tyler was wonderful being patient and going through all the wonderful car wash options. They offer both interior and exterior along with membership deals ($23/month). I ended up getting an exterior and interior clean and was satisfied with both! Al cleaned the inside of my car and did a fabulous job- smells like lemons and the dashboard is shiny and clean. Big City can be a hit or miss. Really depends on the time and day you decide to come here. I've waited as long as 45 mins and as short as 10 minutes for my vehicle to be detailed. Granted, the automatic wash itself is better than most other car washes around town with the spinning cloths and all the other knick knacks that goes on in there. Basic wash starts off at $5, that's a bargain. The waiting area is nice, if there is any room inside. The outside can be nice as well assuming the weather is nice also. 9/10 times though there is someone hot boxing the outside waiting area with their cigarette, so it makes it not as nice. I'v stopped coming here due to the inconsistency of wait time and sitting area and because I'd rather detail my car and truck with my favorite playlist on blast paired with a ice cold beer, but don't keep that from keeping you from coming here. read more

I really do like this car wash. But..... they have their pros and cons. I have been visiting this location for years and they have gotten better over time. However..... Hubby has taken his car here often and has received so many scratches on his vehicle that were not there before, nor do we have or reside by little children to put them there. We could not figure out where they came from as he ALWAYS parks a mile when we go places. We finally found the culprit when we paid more attention to the already scratches and received additional on his side mirrors. It was Big City Car Wash. Very, very weird spot to have those additional scratches. He promised he would never go there again. I have a truck and do not have scratches except one I know I got from here. We are no longer coming here. We as the customer are loosing money going cheap. If you inform the employees the car wash scratched their vehicle, they would only say, 'It didn't happen here'. Wish there was a better way to prove it did! Someone should take responsibility. Machines aren't human. This is one of my preferred car wash places. It is close to my house which makes it very convenient. They are open 7 days a week. You drive through to the back and select your wash with the attendant. You then drive through the wash and you either continue to the spots designated to have your car detailed or you can use the free vacuums. I have used both options. When I got my car detailed, they were efficient, quick but thorough. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. They have an inside wait area which is fine but nothing to really do other than to just look at the cars go by. The free vacuums work very well and they allow you to use them for as long as you need. They do run specials so if you sign up for their texts, you will know what kind of deals they have going on. read more

I waited for over an hour. Watched at least 3 people who arrived after me get their shinny clean cars and leave... I go to enquire about my vehicle. It's still sitting there. Hasn't even been vacuumed. Meanwhile another vehicle that arrived after me was almost done; it had two people vacuuming and cleaning the inside. Nothing worse than driving around in a dirty car and after about 2-3 days I had enough. Not my side of town or my usual wash place but I had to do something. I pulled in and followed the path to the back of the property where I was greeted by Susan. She smiled and inquired if I had been there before and then welcomed me again as a 1st timer. She asked a few questions about what I wanted done, wheels, vacuum, etc and then recommended my wash package. You also pay at the curb so she swiped my card and directed me up the hill and where to go after the wash was finished for my vacuum and other services. You remain in your vehicle and are instructed to put the vehicle in neutral and not to apply your brakes. Pretty typical after that as your vehicle rolls thru the tunnel getting rinsed, washed, waxed and blow dried. Once outside you're directed into one of the vacuum lanes. My only dislike was the guy that finished my car was a slacker and busy complaining to his co workers because Susan got on his case, probably for being a slacker. Anywho, my ride looked decent when they finished and I was out for $26 bucks, not bad. read more

After 8 years and 2 vehicles later (A third account was cancelled a few months ago due to a female manager arguing about a car detail issue)- I am canceling due to poor customer service and poor management of the fast pass lane. The lane is always filled with customers who do not have a fast pass- it defeats the purpose of express. I did become frustrated and I did go around the cars to get to the customer lane which was empty - my trucks exhaust is loud on takeoff -- to be spoken to and scolded "not to speed and go around cars" like a child by a manager was unprofessional. I did become very angry after going through the carwash and requested to have sticker removed and cancel carwash - a 2nd manager came out but the second manager did nothing to communicate, investigate what occurred between myself and 1st manager and try to alleviate the situation -- he exacerbated it by thanking me for wanting to cancel membership because he didn't want "one of you people" around anyway. What does "one of you people" mean!? Offensive. You not only lost 2 more accounts - (I am happy to see you don't mind losing $720+ annually plus detail work at least 6 times a year - on top of the $360 lost from spouses account) - We will be telling the "Customer Service story at Big City" - and promoting all the new Gate Express carwashes that are popping up all over town. read more

All I can say is that these people are not professional. Their equipment was down with the person ahead of me. Same issue with me. I did exactly as she told told me put it neutral, no brake and because of their faulty equipment my vehicle rolled and she and her operations manager started yelling at me, as if if I didn't do what they wanted me to do or so I thought. They wanted me to put my brake on so I wouldn't roll, because they had to fix something with their faulty equipment under my vehicle. They yelled at me like I didn't hear them, they continued yelling and an argument ensued. The new trend is workers being disrespected, yet what happened before the so called disrespect happens? A disrespectful attitude from the workers, a snark on the face or has the actions of a person who doesn't want to be there, is usually the culprit. There are more than enough car washes with competitive prices on Blanding, and 17. Big city will start to see their customers dwindle away. I hope this car wash business isn't the owners only hustle. For the money I spent $37 for the car wash and $20 for the tip I thought the service would be top notch with that being said I live 15 minutes away from your wells road location and the service I got was something to think about it was my first time when I pulled up the young lady that helped me was great she told about the wash package you had so I told her I will wait and just do one wash for now and see how that goes once my car was done washing I pulled in so they could vacuum and clean it the young man was wearing a grey shirt so I assumed the service would be done right when he was done he opened the back and front driver's side to show me it was clean i said thank you and left and went home got home looked over the car again the carpet on the passenger back in front was not vacuumed. There were spots on the outside of the car on the driver side and there was dirt on top of the car sunroof when I noticed it, I immediately called back and talk to the young lady that I had spoken with before she assured me that it would be taken care of and if I would come back so I came back up there drove another 15 minutes and then she said that they would take care of it so I pulled my car in and I was looking for Management to come out so I can speak with them, but nobody from management came out except for the same young man that clean my car before the point is if you have management and Something Happens they should be the ones to take care of the customer when the customer returns this is my first time and my last time I will not be back I am not looking for anything free I was just trying to get what I paid for. So I was a little nervous at first coming but I was driving through town and needed a wash bad. I wish they had one of these in my neighborhood, well at least the people cleaning it. That did an amazing job and spent almost an hour on the inside of the car. It was a little longer than I wanted but it was a good job. I would come here over and over if they took this much time.
