Had Moh's surgery yesterday on my face. Dr Spock told me he did three stitches. When I took off the bandage today there were at least six stitches and one was into my lip that he failed to tell me about. I was sent home with no written information on how to care for the wound although they did inform me verbally. I've been to three other dermatologists in Florida and Michigan and they always send home detailed follow up care info. I can only hope the scaring is minimal. read more

Had minor skin issues with blood vessels on my lip, mole on my face and another growing mole on my leg. I was seen by a PA Viera who was dismissive and seemed in a hurry. Did not even use magnifier to look at m face and was annoyed when I tried to sit up. Every question was respond with a negative such as: "you'll get a scar, it will come back anyway, who else would see that..." I got the vibe and could not wait to get out of there. As a recent transplant to Sebring I was disappointed with the experience. Her vocabulary and tone left a lot to be desired as well. We never got to discuss the growing mole on my leg. Shaming and dismissing a patient's humility is a way to win that day's battle but, for the patient's long-term healthcare, it is a great way to lose the war. Many doctors misunderstand or don't listen to their patients' concerns about how embarrassing an appointment can be. When a patient expresses concern about feeling humiliated at being nude in a room where all of the professionals are of the opposite sex, the patient is not worried bout the way the doctor or nurse practitioner feels. Telling the patient that the doctor does this every day, that the doctor isn't embarrassed, that for the doctor, it is just another face in the crowd is not helpful. The patient is telling the doctor that they do not do this every day, that they are embarrassed, and that this is not a normal experience for the patient. I put up with this for three appointments, then I just stopped going. Of course, I understand that skin checkups are very important. However, being given a 12-inch square piece of paper, told to strip bared, and then have a female nurse and a female doctor come in to do the exam was a bridge too far. Dismissing men's modesty concerns is systemic in the health care industry where much more care is given to modesty concerns of women. However, W.E.D. has integrated the practice of dismissing men's concerns into the entire visit. If you are a man and going to this doctor, ask before making the appointment if you can be seen by same-sex professionals. Remember, it is required that doctors consider the modesty of females - but, not of males. If you want to be treated with any modicum of decorum, find another Dermatologist. read more

I had the best experience with Waters Edge. My doctor is very professional. But he is also very patient and shows concern for my health. He was very helpful, took time to make sure I was in no pain with my procedure. The staff is very pleasant and professional. If any one has a complaint, they probably have complaints with life. I made an appointment here and when I went back to see the doctor he looked at my problem area for .5 seconds then prescribed me hydrocortisone; which did not help. How do you make a medical decision based off a glance. read more

If I could post 0 stars I would. The service I received from this facility was dismal at best. The doctor saw me for literally maybe a minute. Did not ask me any questions. And diagnosed me without speaking to me. Since the visit, even with taking all the precautions I was told to by my doctor here, my condition has grown much more severe. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND read more
