Unfortunately, I had to wait weeks for the install, since I called at the absolute busiest time of the season! But, it was well worth the wait. Foothills Fireplace & Stove employees Maverick and Taylor arrived on time to install our new fireplace woodstove insert. They are a great team that worked together efficiently and expertly to assure an quality installation. Maverick took extra care and time to fit the most appropriate chimney cap configuration in place. He made certain to not damage the roof television antenna that was positioned close by and above the chimney area. Taylor's expertise was evident when he assembled and placed the woodstove insert into the fireplace. They demonstrated best practices for starting the fire and using the stove. Compared to my previous insert stove, the draft moving up the chimney was excellent. Both men were careful not to damage the floor and left everything clean. Maverick went the extra mile and mixed up some mortar repair for several areas. He repaired both the hearth and outside brick mortar joints on his own. I was not even aware of faulty mortar on the chimney outside. It was impressive that they were not rushing to finish this job. It was important to them that the completed work was 100% accurate and as it should be. I will definitely be reaching out to them in the future for any chimney inspections and cleanings. My wife was particularly impressed how clean they left the work area, inside and outside. We purchased our recent house a short while back, and decided to replace the original windows(11 in total) with the lifetime warranty windows made by Sunrise. This is our second large purchase from Sunrise windows, first for our house in Illinois and now in Columbia SC. Based out of Michigan, I believe sunrisewindows.com is one of the few companies with the V-groove options. This eliminates the Colonial style grids, the V-grooves are lines or patterns carved in the glass panel therefore you get amazing light and the view is not obstructed by the grid pattern. Plenty of frame color choices, in Illinois we had white on the outside and the inside frame matched the hardwood door. They were Double Hung, for the Columbia house we opted for the Casement windows. Either style includes an easy to remove screen, either style allows for easy window cleaning from the inside. For reference, the windows are S2100A with Argon, high efficiency. The S2100A windows I believe are applied with 12 layers of coating. Architectural Glass Co. Of Greer, South Carolina is not only a great family business passed down from father to son, but also an authorized Sunrise Replacement Windows dealer/installer listed on sunrisewindows.com. Worth mentioning, the previous windows had a worthless lifetime warranty with a large window manufacturer chain, the previous owner managed to have them send replacements for the bad windows but they sent the actual glass only and would have been a waste trying to install them, the plastic frame was so damaged from the sun they would have snapped. This is not the case with Sunrise windows, our Casement style windows have a code imprinted on them. If ever needed, all we have to do is to call Architectural Glass Co. with the code and Sunrise will send exact match to be swapped easily. If we sell the house, the new owners can also call the Sunrise directly, the lifetime warranty is still honored. Keep in mind, these are premium windows and cost relatively more, especially if you choose V-groove carved in the glass for patterns or other custom colors etc. However, it's definitely worth it for the looks, quality and piece of mind.

I had a home built by Rosewood Communities completed in November 2016. The home itself is probably…read morebetter than average, however their landscaping and concrete work is not up to par for sure. The sod job was horrible: weeds, dead grass, and bumpy terrain. Our HOA ended up repairing most of it at the association's cost. The concrete for our driveway was poured over unstable ground and has cracked as well as each of my neighbors drive on both sides of me. They have refused to replace the bad section because it is not 1/4" separated. The roadside curb is holding it in place. This item was noticed before closing and was documented at that time. Also they take forever to address the one year punch list. During the building process they are very accommodating and friendly but once you close watch out.
