"Vanessa" claimed I could not have purchased the unit from them. Even after I gave her our account number, invoice number, and item number, pictures, etc., she still claimed I could not have purchased from them. So, after asking for something compatible and receiving no response, I Googled and got my own info and relayed it to her. Again, no effort or helpfulness from "Vanessa". It's too bad the wonderful small businesses get sold to bigger companies who in turn hire ignorant, lazy customer service reps. Needless to say that I will never be doing business there again. I found the strap I needed elsewhere.

It stopped working after less then 30 days. I didn't begin to use it for about a month after I received it. It took me a while to reach out and ask what my options are..... The only option is to ship it to California for repairs and pay for the shipping and wait 2-3 weeks....I am not pleased with the quality of the product and I would say customer service is non existent from Dogtra..I am going to purchase a mini educator elsewhere....

My wife and I both have had dogs all our lives. But we never took the time to train them properly…read more When our old dog died, we knew we wanted another dog or two. This time though, we wanted to train them. Our vet recommended Drop the Leash. I liked that Valeria came to our house, rather than taking the dogs out of their own safe environment. Within minutes of Valeria working with the pups, they were responding to her instructions. It just got better from there. We took the six week course and not only did my wife and I look forward to Valeria coming, so did the pups. The end results were more than we imagined. We continue to work with the pups, now that the official training is over. Drop the Leash gave us, and our pups, the tools to make our lives together better. When we decide we can't live without another dog, we will call Drop the Leash before we go to pick the dog up. I highly recommend calling Valeria for your new dogs or dogs that have happens you want to break. She will get the job done. Greg & Vickie Baker

I had used this practice for 7+ years & found only a few people here ever professional or kind. I…read moredidn't really like this practice but I couldn't find a good solid vet practice in the area. Last year, I brought my older dog in bc she had stopped eating. She was completely lucid & could get around but was somewhat feeble as many dogs become when they get older. But her eating had become an issue & I was deeply concerned. I told the Vet Asst that my dog had stopped eating & told her that she suffered from chronic Urinary tract infections. I requested they do her blood & chemistry to see what might be wrong. They showed me her chemistry work up & told me her organs were failing. They wanted to put her down right then. I was shocked & protested & again reiterated about her chronic urinary tract infections. Ignoring me now TWICE, the same vet asst kept pressuring me to put her down right then. I refused & took my dog home. At home for the next few days, I was able to get her to eat small amounts & drink water but I was deeply concerned & wanted to know what was causing her not to eat. The vets office kept calling me & leaving messages. I avoided their calls for 4-5 days. When I finally returned their call, I again mentioned the chronic UTI problem. AGAIN NO FOLLOW UP WHATSOEVER. I was a wreck & was panicked at what to do. I called my primary vet back North & they didn't offer assistance bc they weren't local which was horrible. Finally, after continued immense pressure from the local vet, I agreed to put her to sleep. (I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE LOCAL EMERGENCY VET BUT I had been going to this Vet for so many years & I thought that they knew better. I was tired & emotionally a wreck & I had no friends or family around to help me with the situation). When I returned to the NE, I had my primary Veterinary practice review the chemistry workup & they informed me that her organs were NOT failing. THIS VET PRACTICE had blatantly lied to me about the chemistry test results. And that it was highly likely that she DID INDEED have a very bad urinary tract infection & had stopped eating bc of it. It was a HORRIBLE experience for me & to this day, I have anguished over the entire experience. And I am horrified that 1) this VET PRACTICE REPEATEDLY NEVER listened to me and ADDRESSED my concerns about her past health issues 2) they LIED to me about the chemistry test results 3) they continued to pressure me about putting my dog down when it was ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that I did not want to euthanize my dog.

DTE's owner and trainer doesn't know how to train dogs so owners can keep them under control. The…read moreproof: his own dogs. April 7, 2024, Grand Traverse County Civic Center. The owner set up a tent near the entrance to promote his service during the Up North Lake & Cottage Show. His two unleashed terriers are under the tent. I'm walking my leashed terrier 20-30 feet away. She didn't make a sound at his dogs. Suddenly, they charge out, run across the lawn, and chase my dog. She's been attacked by dogs in the past, so she's scared to death and trying to get away from them. Only she can't, because I'm trying to pull in the leash to pick her up. The owner made no move to stop his dogs; he just stood there speaking with prospective customers. After I gathered up my dog, he called out "Sorry, they just wanted to play." Here's what shows the owner doesn't know what he's doing: my dog didn't know they were playing; she thought she was being attacked. If the owner's dogs had caught her, she'd have defended herself by biting them. "Play time" would have been over! His dogs might have backed off. Or they might have attacked my dog, mauled her, and either killed her or required me to euthanize her. Irresponsible owners always say "My dog just wants to play" when their dog is out of control. The problem is, they can't know whether the pet their dog is chasing "just wants to play;" that dog may fight instead. If DTE's owner wants to let his dogs play, he should have known to take them to a dog park. Instead, he let them run loose at the Civic Center. And he couldn't control them off the leash. As a result, they went after another dog, creating an unpredictable situation which could have ended tragically. If you want your dog trained, find someone who knows what they're doing. Don't trust DTE's owner/trainer. His own dogs and bad judgement prove that he doesn't.
