Fountain Valley is open til 8, which is super convenient for people who can't make it by 5. Since my husband was already pre-registered and he had checked in online, this location was a breeze. Only one lady was working, she was handling the check in desk and performing the X-rays, and she did an amazing job at dealing with it all. My husband was seen within 10 mins of being there, and once his X-rays were done, we received his disc to take to his ortho within about 5 minutes. I will say it was sort of confusing cause there is no sign on the building, or on the directory, but we figured out it is inside of the Urgent Care. They could do a better job with signage for sure. Overall though, no complaints about this location!

I went in to get an X-ray and the technician was friendly, helpful, and a Veteran. The quality of care seemed good and he was very empathetic to the pain I was experiencing. When the X-ray results were sent to my doctor's office the results were ready to understand. Being an informed patient I wanted a copy of the images so my doctor told me to contact Medizen to obtain them directly. I called and that's where the lack of service began. It took over 4 minutes to answer my call and I was told to come in, show my ID and they'd burn a CD for me. Instead of possibly obtaining my information first to begin the process they just brushed me off. I went in to get the CD ordered and instead of allowing me to explain why I was there, I was told to sign in. I offered that I wasn't there for imagine, but for records pull and was brushed off again and told to sign in by the heavy set Hispanic front desk assistant. The second lady that helped me was kind and efficient, but hung into my Driver's License after verifying my ID. I didn't get it back until my CD of images was ready. Overall, this could have been a 4 or 5 start experience had the first lady attended to me properly instead of brushing me off. A simple show of appreciation would have avoided this negative review. It isn't about having to sign it, it is about providing good customer service from start to finish. I get that you want to track your service count, but finish we're people too and not just a number.

Based on my experience, the quality was not sufficient for a surgeon to make a thorough assessment. Additionally, I found the radiologist's report that accompanied the MRI to be unclear and not particularly helpful. I was also disappointed with the level of knowledge and communication from the team, including Sean. I am still waiting for a receipt that I requested two weeks ago, which has added to my frustration with the overall experience. If you need an MRI that may be used for detailed evaluation or surgical planning, I would recommend considering another facility. In my experience, paying more for a higher-quality MRI may save you time, frustration, and the need to have the imaging repeated elsewhere.

I was sent here by Hoag Urgent Care for imaging, as they didn't have a CT machine over at the…read morelocation I was at. First, this location off of Beach & Yorktown is a lot more calm compared to the other Hoag Imaging Center off Superior Ave in Newport. The roads and parking spaces are wider - AND the best part - there's a decent-sized parking structure with free parking. You don't need to get a ticket and then remember to get it validated. I had no trouble finding parking on the ground floor. The structure is a short 2-3 minute walk to the Imaging Center. There was no wait and ample seating in the lobby. Nikki checked me in, had me fill out some forms, and was able to pull my order and patient details from my clinic visit. Wait time was not bad considering I was a walk-in (sent over to here by Hoag Urgent Care) - it's not like you're waiting for one machine - there were multiple rooms, techs, machines - so the wait wasn't too long. Probably 20 minutes or so. Nikki offered a bottled water when I asked if there were a water machine around. I can't remember my tech's name, but she was very caring, friendly, and professional while I was getting my CT scan. The entire process took just a few minutes, and I had the results read and confirmed by call less than an hour later. Of course, you wouldn't expect any less from Hoag - I'm pretty sure I'm going to pay for this at some point - despite confirming multiple times they were in-network as part of my PPO. Barely into 2024, so I'm likely going to put a dent into that deductible. Overall, this is a great location for imaging - high quality staff, care, and service.

I did have an appointment and came early to sign paperwork etc…read more *The building they're located in needs LARGE NUMBERS ON TOP to be able to find it quickly VS driving around which is maddening. *The lobby isn't big enough for appropriate social distancing when I see the number of people seated there. The front office staff was busy handling incoming patients reporting in, answering phones, and computer work. They were very nice and professional when I reported in. My ultrasound technician was Kelly and she is *MARVELLOUS*! Kelly was very professional and so very kind. She explained what she was doing which helped me to relax as I was nervous. The room was nice, quiet, and dark that I nearly fell asleep lol. The procedure was done quickly and the next thing I know I'm in the main building lobby filling in a yelp review for them. I'm very satisfied with my visit and I do recommend Newport Imaging (for ultrasounds) Hopefully Kelly will be working the day you need to go in.

1 Star -- Extremely Disappointed With MemorialCare When…read moreMemorialCare took over my healthcare provider, my doctor was switched without any clear communication. I had just had an exam and lab work within the previous month, yet when I needed my medications refilled, I was never contacted. I called the new doctor's office and was told he was not accepting new patients. The confusing part is that I had received two letters in the mail stating that this was my new doctor, and my new insurance card also had his name on it. I called the office four separate times and was repeatedly told they had no record of me and that I should go somewhere else. I eventually contacted Anthem, and they made an appointment for me while I was on the phone with them. Today was the appointment. At 10:00 a.m., I received a call asking me to arrive 30 minutes early, which I did. I arrived at 2:45 for my scheduled 3:15 appointment. The receptionist checked me in, and then a nurse came in and once again told me that the doctor wasn't accepting new patients. I explained the entire situation and was told my appointment had been moved to 3:45 with a PA. So here I am, sitting in an exam room at 3:45, with no PA, no nurse, and no doctor. This has been an unbelievable lack of communication and customer service. I was a patient here before MemorialCare took over, and the staff back then were exceptional. The difference now is extremely disappointing. If they can't communicate properly about who my doctor is, schedule an appointment correctly, or provide a medication refill without putting me through this much trouble, I have serious concerns about how difficult it would be to get help with something more important. After this experience, I'm done with MemorialCare. I shouldn't have to spend hours dealing with conflicting information just to see a doctor who was assigned to me and get a prescription refilled. Very disappointing experience. Boooo memorialcare, do better.
