I had a very disturbing experience at the Wave MAX Laundry located at 529 N Galloway Ave Ste 16 in Mesquite, TX. On the evening of my visit around 8:30 PM, I was finishing my laundry shortly before the 10:00 PM closing time. I was the last customer inside and was in the process of removing my clothes from the dryer and gathering my belongings so I could leave. I had my 1-year-old grandchild and my 14-year-old daughter with me. As I was packing up my items and preparing to leave, the employee on duty told me I needed to leave immediately in a very nasty tone. I calmly explained that I was gathering my belongings and would be leaving momentarily. Instead of allowing me a reasonable amount of time to finish collecting my clothes, the employee called the police. Two officers arrived. One officer approached my 14-year-old daughter outside and asked for her name and ran it through his system. The other officer spoke with the employee inside the store. According to the officer, the employee called simply because she wanted me to leave the building. This situation was completely unnecessary and escalated what should have been a simple situation. I was already in the process of leaving. Having police called while I was peacefully gathering my belongings--especially with my children present--caused significant emotional distress and discomfort. During the interaction, the employee also continued speaking negatively about me until the officer asked her to stop talking, while he allowed me time to collect my things. This experience was extremely upsetting and felt discriminatory and unprofessional. No customer should have police called on them simply for finishing up and gathering their belongings at closing time, especially when children are present. I hope the owners of this location review their staff training and address how customers are treated so that no one else has to go through an experience like this. read more

Where do I start . First of all our washer went out in our home so my wife and I started looking for a laundromat . I remember my bro mention it to me that he goes to one in Mesquite ( WaveMax ). I decided to go there since my brother mention to me that there is a young lady name " Alondra " who helps him fold his clothes , because he's handicap. We decided to go on Tuesday ,and when we did we were amazed as how clean the facility was.My brother was correct she just happened to be working that day. She showed my wife how the machines work. Mind me the last time we were in a laundry mat we were not impressed and dreaded it since the only ones we knew of were in OC , when we lived in the hood. She was very friendly and told us that they provide free detergent and that liquid to soften your clothes , and dryer sheets. Good thing is that we didn't have to worry about having change( quarters ) to wash and dry. They used a card system. wonderful i loved it. I'm very impressed at the facility the cleaningness it was and the friendliest as well . A plus is that its across the street for the police station. Typically, I hate laundromats. WaveMAX exceeded my expectations. Very clean & well maintained facility, friendly/helpful staff, all new machines, & I felt safe. The prices for washes were moderate, and the dryers were .35 cents per 6 minutes; took about 30 min to dry. Both wash & dry took just over an hour. Highly recommend. We are traveling and found this laundromat by Maps on my IPhone.I called to ask if the facility takes card because other places wouldn't and the staff member was friendly and said they accept card as well as Apple Pay. On a Sunday it closes at 10pm but last wash is at 9pm. The parking is sufficient, and upon entering, the staff member was friendly. The place itself is clean and looks new with new machines, seating, etc.It is not run down or dirty like other places. There were tvs, vending, you can buy supplies from at the front desk area, and there were benches to sit.They also had picnic table type of sitting next to a bookshelf for children.My children were happy with this! They also have the rolling carts for your clothes and the tables to fold laundry. There were many ceiling fans and an additional oscillating tower fan next to the children's area.This is the best laundromat we have ever seen and used. read more
