We came in to find about half of the pastries over baked or burnt. We ordered a brioche and a loaf of sourdough. The brioche was perfect and delicious, but the sourdough was very underproofed- dense and extremely gummy, which was so disappointing, especially considering the $9 price tag. I would go back to Milkbox in the future if I had heard that they'd improved their standards because it would be awesome to have a top notch local bakery.

We are in the middle of a global pandemic, so my daughter wore a mask into the bakery. She was virtually harassed and shamed for doing so by the employees of the bakery. The women behind the counter snickered and rolled their eyes. They have your classics, as well as specialty donuts. They have a special everyday such as "Turnover Tuesday", which I think is neat! Perfectly crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. The old fashioned is THICK. The "Java Nut" is filled with the Holland Creme.
