I feel my property is very secure here. I feel like the community at RP is just wonderful. Deck boards are being replaced all the time but some are a bit splinter prone. I had my boat serviced by the yard. 40hp 2 stroke. No complaints. I felt pricing was fair. They're busy. You're gonna have to wait. I may extend another 6 months even tho there are other marinas closer to places I spend time at. I use my boat 3 to 4 days a week for fishing and boat camping.

Had nothing…read morebut issue after issue with the boat, communication with the dealer has been terrible, they won't respond, they tell you they will het back they never did, I had to be chasing them constantly for answers. A seat broke and they want me to pay almost 2k to ship it to Maui. A recall came in and because there is no dealer on island they won't do anything about. My steering system completely came off its assembly while on the ocean, my ballast tanks are not working, they first told me to remove the ballast module and send it over and they would send me a replacement. Well now I just got a txt from them saying that they cannot longer comunícate with me and that I have to do it all Troy Yamaha corporate. The funny thing is Yamaha says all warranty claims need to be handled trough the dealer. So it looks like Yamaha and Rivercity clearly spoke and said to each other "let's screw this guy, we already got his money, let us handle him we are a big corporate company and have in house lawyers". Stay out from this dealer they don't care about nothing else than making a sale and taking your money, and as much as Yamaha use to be a reliabale company, we'll after COVID they no longer, their quality control went down big time and they hide behind warranty and lawyers to don't respond for their products. STAY AWAY or found it by yourself. Hopefully my experience will help others don't be at the same or similar situation

Our guide that I had booked several weeks in advance had a case of the "I'm a wuss and don't want to fish in the rain"-itis and cancelled our trip at 10pm the night BEFORE we were supposed to meet at 6:30am!! To be fair, totalfisherman.com refunded our deposit and fishing licenses. This was no consolation considering my boyfriend and I flew out from Virginia largely to take this fishing trip. I called Fred's Marina around 9am the next morning after fuming and sleeping poorly the night before, and told them our tale of woe. Within five minutes, Tom Burgess of Bigulp Guide services called and said he'd meet us at the Marina in two hours!! We arrived at Fred's - unpretentious and stocked with the basics. The service and people there earn them the 5 plus stars. We were wholly unprepared for the downpour that was awaiting us, so Dave let us borrow two of his rubber rain suits - truly a lifesaver. They bent over backwards to help us negotiate the licensing debacle that had started the tension with the first fishing guide. (you can buy one-day licenses and tags at Fred's...don't bother buying them online prior to fishing!!) Stephanie called ODFW directly and went to bat for us, trying to help with a refund for non-printed but purchased licenses. Anyway, really had a great experience with Fred's service and all-around helpfulness. Wish I had a boat that I could moor there :-) Happy Fishing!

The location is perfect - on the head of the Multnomah Channel directly off the Willamette River and only 3 miles to Kelly Point on the Columbia River. The Marina is unpretentious filled with fishing boats, sailboats and power boats. It has a little store stocked with the basic necessities from soda pop to hot dogs and maps to bait and is staffed by the nicest family. The bathrooms are spotless! I repeat the bathrooms are SPOTLESS. The gas prices are also more reasonable than some other on the water pumps. Summer moorage and trailer storage is affordable and makes getting out and spending time on the boat so much easier. This is not the place to tie up your yacht or luxury performance boat and expect everyone on the dock to be impressed or even care for that matter. Fred's Marina is simple and feels like old Portland. Well, considering they opened in 1946 and have in been operation by the same family since, it truly is old Portland. My grandparents first brought me to Fred's in the mid 1970's. We would pull up to the dock, chat with the folks about what's biting and who caught what, buy a candy bar and then push off. It's pretty much the same today. Thanks Fred's for keeping it real.

This review is for the paddle board rentals!…read more My 2 friends and I tried to book the paddle boards online the day prior. For some reason we were only able to book one, even when trying on different devices/ browsers. We tried calling but weren't able to get through so we decided to just go in person the next day. For our reservation, we were texted the instructions on where to park & how to get down to the right dock. The instructions were easy to follow. Despite the online reservation not working, we were still able to get 3 paddle boards! After signing a waiver and paying, the staff will give you a life jacket, measure the paddles according to your height, and give a quick tutorial on how to get onto the board. It was my first time paddle boarding and it was pretty easy to learn! We did a 2 hour rental (which is plenty of time) and had a lot of fun going through the recommended path and using the current to drift back. For the 2 hours it was about $30 which was more than worth it. There is a locker (without locks) where you can leave your clothes/ other items. If you want to bring a water bottle or other personal items that are ok to get wet, there is a bungee cord at the top of the board to secure those items in place. There are also restrooms with flush toilets at the dock. This experience was honestly one of my favorite parts of the weekend and I would highly recommend. I just hope they are able to get their online reservation system fixed for a smoother booking process!
