From the moment I sat down, she was pleasant and listened carefully to what I wanted. She asked thoughtful questions to make sure she completely understood what I had in mind. Her eye for color and highlights is exceptional. She took the time to really look at my skin tone and natural hair color, and then chose the perfect blend of color and highlights to complement my complexion. You can tell she takes pride in her work and has a genuine artistic sense when it comes to selecting the right tones. She also surprised me and added a glaze conditioner during the rinse, which noticeably made my hair soft and silky for weeks afterward! Additionally, I was so impressed watching her work during the cut. She is painstakingly meticulous, checking to make sure that the shape was symmetrical and balanced from every direction. Took me fairly last minute which was nice. When I arrive I sat for a little bit before the owner acknowledged me, and with slight annoyance she mentioned I was late. I showed her my confirmation texts and our texts back and forth, she goes oh I had the time wrong I guess (she was the one actually running late). "I'll make it work I'll squeeze you in!"- which she did. Which felt stranger because she was clearly mid session with another client and had others waiting so my appt was definitely not in her books. I offered to leave and she insisted it was fine. My fault for staying. It was rushed, she clearly wanted me out asap, and didn't listen to what I disliked. It looked awful. I texted a day later about how much I disliked it and although she offered to fix it I didn't want her cutting my hair again. The pic is from the car right after the appt. Upon entering the salon I was impressed - it is beautifully decorated with warm colors and a modern appeal. You can see there was close attention paid to detail in both the decor and the salon layout - And I immediately felt at home. My stylist Francesca warmly greeted me and we just clicked. She is this bright, bubbly big ray of sunshine and both our consultation and conversation immediately put me at ease. Oh, and also... she's GREAT at her job! When all was said and done, my hair was better than the pictures I showed her, and better than I could have imagined! She NAILED it! I also got to meet the owner and some of the other stylists as well and they were all lovely. You can tell how close of a family they really are. My daughter wanted to continue going to Ann for her hair cuts so eventually, the rest of us started visiting Ann for hair cuts. When Ann opened Bella Hair Design she notified us that she would be moving to her new location. She gave me all of her contact details as well as a choice whether we wanted to continue to have her as our hairstylist. We have been customers of Bella Hair Design ever since. She has cut and colored my hair as well as my daughter's and continues to cut my son's hair. Over the years, she has become a part of our family, styling our hair for proms and weddings. We are not a high maintenance family. I don't bring in color swatches for her to match my hair color, I trust her making my hair look as close to my original hair color as possible. I don't micro manage Ann, she asks me questions about what I am looking for and my hair always comes out the way I want it to. If she feels something won't look right with my face shape, she will tell me the pros and cons of my choice. Not every hairstyle goes with every face shape and I trust her to give me guidance. All of the stylists in the salon are pleasant and always say hello when they see you. There have also been times when I had to change my appointment and Patty has cut my hair. I have always been very pleased with Patty's styling as well. She, as well as everyone else (Kathleen, Alaina, Val and Joanne) in the salon, make me feel welcome when I am there. I would highly recommend Bella Hair Design for your hair styling.
