My daughter got a weft. Has to get it fixed multiple times. The string came out and the only thing holding it in is a bead. It's been an ongoing issue since she got them in. Mind you it was $1300 for this mess. And the business doesn't I'm consider any type of compensation. read more

I can't thank Waves Hair Studio enough! After a terrible color experience at another salon, Waves absolutely saved my hair. Not only did they get me in as soon as possible close to a Holiday (right after a move to PA as well) but they were so kind, understanding, and professional. They made me an appointment with Morgan who listened to what I wanted, assessed the damage, and worked her magic to not only fix the color but also make my hair look and feel gorgous. I left the studio feeling confident and so happy with the results. Morgan truly when above and beyond and I highly reccomend her work. Honestly if I can give 0 stars I would so I'm being generous with one. This was a Terrible experience!!. The owner Amber was supposed to give me a balayage look with natural looking streaks. She curled my hair when she was finished ( realizing now she did that to hide the terrible coloring job she did)coloring it which took about 5 hrs and about $270 later. When I washed my hair the next morning and decided to straighten it I was in shock with what I saw! The color was different throughout the hair looking orange and blotchy. You can tell exactly where she had the foil because you can see the outline where she placed it since the highlights were spotted and boxed looking instead of streaking It in to look natural. I figured maybe she can help correct this in some way so I called her. She became defensive and was blaming me for not telling her I straightened my hair and if she knew I wore it straight she would have highlighted it differently. She then followed with a nasty attitude and saying "I am not doing anything else for free to correct this" I was crying on the phone because of this and she was absolutely unapologetic with her rude remarks blaming me for the terrible job she did. I have never wrote a review before until this horrifying experience. Something I saved my Money for to make me feel good about myself turned out to be such a nightmare in the end. Now I'm ashamed to show my hair. Terrible business ethic and lack of compassion. Shame on this business!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in for highlights and they left the solution on way too long. I went here for a quick haircut and highlights to freshen up and hide my roots. I had never been to this salon, but one of the girls who works there previously did my hair and I loved her. Now in this new environment they were watching her like a hawk and telling her what to do, but it was totally different than what we previously did. My hair turned out streaky and slightly orange. I also paid an outrageous amount to have this done. I didn't really notice how bad it was until I got back home and the color had started to change because they didn't rinse all the solution out of my hair. I booked an emergency correction appointment at my regular salon for a week later. When I got back to my regular salon, they were like never let these people touch your hair again, they have NO idea what they are doing!!! They also told me they put way too much bleach in the solution to lighten my hair and they burnt it. I also had severe scalp irritation for days after my initial appointment. DO NOT GO HERE! The owner Amber Hendershot is very friendly. She was leaving to go to lunch when I stopped in. She made time to make me an appointment. Her salon style was well thought out and the interior is beautiful. Amber is constantly improving herself by going to shows and competitions. She's up on current styles. She has great ideas if you are looking for something new or different. She had a great suggestion for me and I went for it. I loved it. Everyone at work raved about it and loved it immediately. Her prices are good. She is friendly and eager to make you comfortable with a beverage, hot or cold. Her business is next to the Bedford Elementary School. I would highly recommend her. I am new to the area. So trying to find a good stylist in a good setting. This was not the place for me. I wanted my roots done. I left with my grey roots and my hair bleached blonde. The girl who's name I won't mention was very nice but also had no experience. The owner fluttered around her and never said Blank is a new graduate and employee so I may give her some tips today. Well that would have been great. I left very disappointed and unsatisfied. So I reached out to the owner via email. I went back to have my hair redone. This time it was dyed medium brown ..... didn't ask for that either. Stylist said I'm doing it my way and not her way. Well neither really asked or knew what I wanted. So not returning. I'm a fan! I visited this Studio about 7 weeks ago. Waves was recommended with high regards. I was a client at a Salon in Pittsburgh for many years and my time spent there was enjoyable and I developed a pleasant relationship with the hair artisans there. I felt however, it was time to bid my time there a farewell as mostly travel started to become an obstacle. The recommendation I received, I valued largely because of who it came from. I decided to go forward and meet the crew/team at Waves! I'm so glad I did. From the beginning, I was made to feel welcomed and comfortable, just as my recommendation said. The time and attention given to my first experience there was amazing! I want to say that I never felt as if all my questions were taking up too much of their time. Although Amber is no longer my hairdresser (due to distance), she was the most professional hair dresser I ever had the pleasure of visiting. She never took calls when doing my hair, she always offered me a drink - after a long day of work this was appreciated! :) , she recommended and made time for others services (eyebrow waxing), she extensively discussed color options and offered recommendations, overall she was just a pleasure to talk to!
