I enjoy going to a WaWa as a reliable option, but this store was not up to the other stores I have visited. By now, I am used to people who sit on the chairs outside, but I don't appreciate being approached at night by men, as soon as I exit my car. The hand dryer in the women's bathroom did not work. At all, and there were no paper towels around. I hope this isn't the same bathroom that employees have to use. Inside the store, both self-serve machines were not working, and only one register was open, creating a short line. The cashier chatted with a co-worker as if there was not a line there, and as we exited, the employees began joking loudly amongst themselves. I only note this because talking to each other while not talking to the customers was pretty offputting and unwelcoming. The person in front of me put their things away and left. read more

It was my first time here and I get what all the fuss is about. Let's start with the fact that it's the lowest priced gas in the area, shirt of using a hose and gas can to funnel it out if someone else loses vehicle. Even as I type THIS it's 30-50 cents cheaper per gallon. I went inside to quench my thirst and wouldn't you know it, there was a delicious array of food to choose from. Helper that I am I thought; let's order a cheat meal before leg day and tell the fine folks at home how it tastes- verdict? Awesome. Pace? Busy, as expected. Being the best attracts attention. I'm a wawa liker. I've had a gas card with them for awhile. And I highly recommend getting one for extra gas discounts and other perks. It's a good gas station with reasonable prices. And a lot of pumps from which to choose. This station just recently opened in the neighborhood so everything is brand new and it shows. The latest in gasoline pump technology with tap to pay as well as the usual credit card options. They have food inside and everyone raves about it, but I've only eaten wawa food a couple times. Hoagies (subs for you folks that don't know) are first and foremost. You can get almost any kind here with an unlimited range of selection. Italian, Turkey, Chicken Parm, Meatball Parm, Cheesesteak, Chicken Buffalo Cheesesteak...Tons to choose from, but some of my fav's. The touch screen ordering system is excellent, allowing you to option the sandwich you like anyway. You can also get soups, salad, mac n cheese, so many options. Scroll through the endless options next time, you'll see. Make sure you grab some Soft Pretzels before ya leave. They are a staple of Wawa and you'll know why! This place is filthy. Garbage outside and inside. The coffee station is usually a gigantic mess, garbage overflowing. Stuff spilled on the floor everywhere. The soda fountains have leaked on the floor for as long as the store has existed. The soda mix is wrong, and has too much soda and not enough syrup. Have mentioned it to management and have been told that this is how Coke wants the mixture. It's vile. Homeless people have taken over, camping in the entry way and stopping customers begging for money for beer and cigarettes. Half the time the coffee is out. Tire air dispensers broken. As others have mentioned, in the mornings the place is grid-locked with Amazon trucks. Can't speak to the quality of the food because the place is so filthy, I can't imaging what it's like where you can't see. read more

I know times are tough however I'd say 25% of the people working their are providing great customer service. The others were not as helpful. Don't order breakfast bagels. We ordered two breakfast bagels today, one western and one ham and neither of us could chew them. I literally felt myself growing a new muscle in my jaw. On top of that, I washed it down with a mint hot chocolate (the parts I did chew). Afterwards I almost vomited in the parking lot. I have been coming here for a little over three months on a regular basis for gas, coffee, and the occasional lunch when pressed for time. This was a new Wawa at the beginning of the year (I think), and it has unfortunately steadily declined. It is very, very busy in the morning between 8am - 9am in the parking lot. Lots of commercial trucks, large moving trucks, etc. with drivers who are not awake yet or just don't care. You need to be very careful entering or exiting on/off to Powerline Road. People do not slow down to enter this lot and cut you off if you are leaving. Also, super discourteous people when using the air pump. No, you cannot park your car sideways in front of three air pumps and choose to use one. Then proceed to take 15 minutes to pump up ALL of your tires on your beater work van. I literally waited only because I really needed air in one tire. The inside is starting to become grimy - with the floors, counters, etc. not maintained. They are also consistently out of the hot breakfast items in the to-go case. I have had several orders placed in the kiosk that was done wrong. Don't try to get anyone's attention because they are not paying attention to anyone in the food prep area. Cashiers at the front are hit and miss - either super nice and courteous (two-star) or completely oblivious to you being a customer. I had one that was talking to a co-worker the whole time and didn't even acknowledge I was there or that she rang me up and did not even tell me the price or say thank you. I just put my card in and walked away after the transaction. I am old school - but it is pretty rude. There are homeless people on all four corners of 62nd and Powerline now. I feel bad of course, but really the endless assault of asking for money every day and then tramping in to Wawa with your used cup to get a drink from the machine is pretty bad.
