They have nice option with their tasting tables to check out a product before purchasing it. This place is huge.... And pretty much like most of the others of its brand. There's a lot to look at and a lot to choose from. They have pretty much every type of alcohol. We were getting a couple Christmas gifts -- wine and some stocking stuffers. I'm not a drinker, but I love looking at all the pretty shaped bottles and the new miniatures. We wandered around for a bit just browsing. Then we asked some helpful staff to direct us to the correct aisles. And it didn't take long to get through checkout, either. Coming from a place where we can get liquor at just about any store, I have to say that I really enjoy Total Wine (I also used to live in Florida and I know ABC is y'all's jam, so don't jump me, lol.). I always get so excited when I go because I know I'm going to find a new favorite. I love how consistent they are across the board with inventory and customer service. No matter what state I'm in, when I've visited it's always been a great experience. This holds true for this location. Whenever I fly into Ft. Lauderdale for vacation, this Total Wine is usually one of my first stops to get supplies for the trip. I'm always able to find what I'm looking for from spirits to mixers to supplies. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Each time I've come there's been a product demo/tasting and I've left with a new wine or spirit to try when I get back home. It's located in a shopping center with lots of other popular stores, but I've never found it to be too crowded or busy. I'm usually able to do my shopping leisurely and it's pretty quiet. One of its neighbors is a Publix so it's in a great location if you're stocking up for a party because you can get snacks and beverages in one stop. read more

We set up a delivery order prior to going on a cruise. The delivery time was set between 8-9pm. We'd asked at the desk how deliveries from Total Wine are handled. They told us it wasn't uncommon for them to receive orders at the front desk, and that they could either be left there or directed up to the room. Starting at about 7pm, we sat in the lobby of the hotel, watching the door and playing cards. I was able to see online that our Total Wine order was "out for delivery." Then about 9:30pm it showed, "Returned." I called the store to ask what happened. I was told that the Uber Eats driver waited outside for some time, but we never came out, and that the driver tried to contact us through the Uber app. I didn't order through Uber Eats, nor do I have an Uber Eats account. The driver never came into the lobby. I was never told that we had to wait outside during the hour of the delivery window. Total Wine said they had to wait for another delivery driver but he assured me they'd deliver that night. We waited outside until 12:15am, no one ever delivered our order, nor did Total Wine call to let us know and they charged us for a second delivery fee. First thing in the morning we called and was told that our order would be delivered between 10-11, which was too late. I asked that our delivery fees be refunded along with the tip to the driver. We took a Lyft and picked up our order ourselves. Just beware, that if you're doing an online order, and you have a ship to catch, that you can't trust neither Total Wine, nor Uber Eats to deliver your order on time, nor to communicate with you effectively. read more

This is not my favorite location. I stopped here for Contreou to make a delicious looking Cosmo made by Ina Garten. I still browsed the aisles. I was easily annoyed due to trying to distance myself from others but yet I was a magnet for anyone in the store that did not understand social distancing. I have not been to this location in years but I used to visit a lot before the other locations in the area opened. I am not sure if they were out of stock for many items because of COVID because there was slim pickings for beer. I love European beers and Toal Wine usually carries the rare ones I love. I am Czech so finding Czech beers is a mission in Florida. I found the bottle I wanted and then searched for Jameson Cold Brew. That was not on the shelf in the whiskey section so I inquired. Unfortunately the employee did not know where it could be. I continued browsing until I could not take the crowds of people in my space. When I went up to the front, another staff member asked if I needed to find anything. I asked about the Jameson and there was a display right there. I felt like a dumbass! I made my way to the register and paid. The staff were okay for the most part but they were also in everyone else's space as well. 9-10-22 12:42 PM A couple weeks ago I was at the Trump Doral National for lunch and experienced the most delicious Rose. I immediately researched where I can buy it and it showed Total Wines. Truthfully not a believer of Google I tried to find the wine elsewhere and failed. So today out doing errands I come to this location on my way home. It is located off of 17th St. in Ft. Lauderdale on Cordova. Oh great tourist capital of the area. Once inside you are overwhelmed by all the inventory coming at you. But wait a gentleman that worked there actually directs you to where you want to go. So I see Aisle #1 has a Dry Rose never heard that term so I asked the gentleman where Hampton Water is and he immediately tells me to go to Aisle #6. Gratefully I obliged only not to find what I wanted. I end up in the back of the store all the way around back to Aisle #1 where I started. I ask another employee who doesn't know and gets me some one else. Than he gets me to Hampton Water the Rose I wanted but mumbles that he was surprised they still carry. Whatever I grab two bottles and head to the register on the way I tell the first guy who directed me to Aisle #6 that he sent me the wrong way. I get to the register and he feels so bad that he takes 10% off. Nice recovery I than explain to him do you do that to tourists and we both laugh as I explained that I am a local. Hampton Water is from a vineyard in France owned by the singer Bon Jovi. Very delicious and I highly recommend especially the hunt to actual procure it. Lol. read more

Highly recommend choosing a different location as a young woman. To give some context, I'm petite and just turned 21 this past Nov. I enjoy going to total since they have a great selection of ciders and it's right by my work to make it easy to grab on the way home. Unfortunately every time I enter this store no one greats me. Once I was patiently waiting to purchase my items and the cashier waved over a guy behind me to come forward to check out, completely ignoring my presence. Another time the cashier saw me approaching the check out to purchase my items and she turned off the light that indicates the lane is open and walked away. I waited about 5 minutes until another employee finally helped me. Highly recommend total wine on North federal highway instead. read more

I love this store. While I am not an obsessed wine or beer drinker, I could always find the wines or beers that I was looking for here. And this place is pretty big. No matter if I was looking for a bottle of Merlot, Cabernet or Chardonnay, I could always find it there. For example, I remembered I had a great bottle of Pahlmeyer Chardonnay from Napa Valley, this is the only store where I can find it in this area. And now since I've evolved into drinking more craft beers, this place is perfect for me. I love a good IPA and I can find a large selection of different kinds of IPAs here. If I were to take a half dozen of IPA's with me during ever visit, it could still take me probably 6 months to sample them all. Even with the large selections of different wines, spirits, liquors and beers they carry, you could always find a friendly staff easily to answer your questions, or give you recommendations on different products. I also love the large selection of cigars they carry in their walk-in humidor. This is definitely my go-to place for all my wine/liquor/cigar needs. read more

Being in the midst of tailgating season and the holidays, trips to Total Wine & More will become more frequent. I must say that I have never had a negative experience at any of the liquor stores of this particular franchise. In fact, this is probably the one place that I feel is consistent and goes above and beyond each and every time. On this occasion, we stopped by to do a general look through. We didn't have anything in mind, per se, but given that my boyfriend has been tailgating and plans to do more of it, it seemed logical to get something for next weekend's tailgate. While we were walking around, I was curious to see the variety they would have of cider. There's one brand that I've tried in recent times that I love, but I find it difficult to find overall. It was available and my boyfriend bought me some. Among this aisle, too, was the surprise that a cider my boyfriend had gotten from Boston is now also at this store. Getting ready to pay, we passed by a tasting table. The lady at the table was a sweet blonde, offering us a Bloody Mary and some vodka lemonade. We both weren't fans of the Bloody Mary, but the vodka lemonade was great. My boyfriend ended up purchasing some of the vodka actually. It is from Ukraine and the vodka has been around since the 1870s, I believe. All in all, a successful visit as per usual. We will return soon enough. read more

They have literally everything. It's pretty insane. What I love most is how much help there is around the store. If you can't find anything, there's a worker within 10 feet to help. And by help, I mean will literally walk you to the exact product you need. I will add that I wasn't carded which was a little strange in my opinion. Total Wine has always been one of my favorite wine stores in other states I've shopped them at. A few months ago, right in the thick of Covid lockdowns, I stopped in to this location at the Harbor Shops, and was so disappointed by the service (lack of), that it left me with no desire to visit again. Especially since another local chain brand is always so much more pleasant and helpful when I go in. First, I was picking up some items for a friend. Not being familiar with all the wines and the layout of the store I asked someone for help locating 2 particular bottles of wine. The girl just seemed bothered that someone was asking for help, she started to look on her laptop for the store aisle location (she worked there and didn't know where to find the wine offhand, but was upset because I couldn't find it!) Then supposedly her internet connection went out. I thought she went to get another laptop, ask someone else etc., except she never returned to help me. I asked someone else who was standing in the middle of the store at what lookd like a bar area. They said they were busy setting up something (maybe a tasting type event) and someone on the floor could help me. At that point I just left. I would have thought especially with businesses losing money because of Covid, that the ones that were open would be more than appreciative of customers coming in to spend money. But that did not seem to be the case here. I went to another liquor store chain and got much better service read more

I can't believe I've never stepped foot into a Total Wine until recently! Where have I been. Normally I go to local liquor stores but my bae pulled up into this one on our way to start our Valentine's weekend. So many options! They literally have almost everything; any type of liquor, brand, flavors etc. They also have drinking accessories, cork stoppers, bottle openers, cups, glassware, gift items. I am an indecisive person and choosing something to drink was beyond difficult with all the options they have. We ended up going with a tried and true Bombay Gin and some tonic and Ginger Ale as mixers. Also noticed some items have a point system on the price tag, meaning how well they score in quality after being tested. The higher the number closest to 100 is better, nice to know. The store was spotless and pretty big, customer service was great except the creepy employee that kept on following us around the store to see if we were stealing since I was so undecided and kept on walking up and down the lanes. Umm, that employee has serious trust issues and was kinda rude but besides the point I am coming back to Total Wine for sure. Trevor is obsessed with Chianti and has recently been trying to find a Chianti in a straw basket thing (the traditional sort of style, which apparently is called a Fiasco bottle (thanks google)), and I was pleased to find one bottle of the sort was available easily at Total Wine. PS - I did find another bottle inside Trader Joes when we of course weren't actually looking.... So, off we went to Total Wine. I hadn't really realized that this was his first time in a Total Wine, so of course, 100% wowed-Disney effect, and we had to go up and down every aisle so he could take in the magic and see it all. Although this particular trip we weren't helped by anyone or really even greeted, I know from the past that Total Wine has exceptional customer service, and everyone on the floor REALLY knows their stuff. Naturally we came for ONE bottle of wine, and left with 3 bottles of wine, and I believe 5 bottles of (very expensive) rum.... always a cheap trip to Total Wine lol. Checking out was a breeze and our cashier was more than friendly. Now that I've exposed him to Total Wine, it's doubtful we'll ever be in the states again without stopping by lol. read more

We were a group of three people, they won't sell us liquor because one friend forgot his ID at the hotel. We ubered from the hotel. This is a big inconvenience since we just paid for the Uber ride all the way here and couldn't even purchase what we needed. We are all in our 30's but the cashier and the manager had to give us a hard time. I think it's because there were two Asians in the group. We even asked if we leave and come back without our friend and they wouldn't even let us purchase it regardless. It's unfortunate because I love Total Wine in Plantation and I'm a regular there but this place left a sour taste in my mouth. I will never go back to this location due to this experience. The manager was rude about it but in the end he lost a sale and a returning customer. The location is similar to the one in Plantation but lack of customer service, taste testings, and overall friendliness. Readily the most ridiculously enormous storage facility for alcoholic products I've ever seen in my life.* Quite literally, anything you could possibly think of that contains ethanol that you'd -want- to put in your body, Total Wine likely has. We popped in to pick up a bottle of bubbly and ended up stumbling upon some Estrella beer that I couldn't resist. Yes, the lure of Ferran Adrià's name was just too strong for my enfeebled will. For all the vast selection, prices seem to be extremely reasonable - that selfsame beer that we'd spent nearly $25 for in Boston just a few months ago ran us less than half that price here. A shining star, indeed. How is it that not everyone who lives in Ft. I was on sensory overload and I didn't even see the beer choices yet. So I'm standing in the American Whisky section and standing and staring and standing and more staring.
