Only 4 stars since this location is a roller coaster at times however, Anthony (who may or may not be a manager) is very proficient at his work. He went out of his way to make the blueberry coffee to make a customer happy, above & beyond behavior you don't recieve much. His managerial style is calm and instructive to delegate extra work his staff should do in case of a rush. I hope Anthony sees this and knows his hard work is not unnoticed. read more

God forbid this place ever has their system go down. The cashiers struggle with basic arithmetic or ability to read numbers to figure out dates. I literally stop here 5x a week but today my id doesn't scan, nor my passport and they can't figure out how to look at either and do the visual look. What can I say about Wawa that has not already been said. I new concepts brought to Florida a few years ago. They serve great coffee, make you feel welcome, and great customer service. All of their locations here in Florida are very large. Usually have 20 gas pumps. Some of the best subs and coffee did you ever have. Service is always with a smile. One of the things I like about Wawa, is you get in and get out. Nice and quick just like I like. If you are one of the unfortunate few that has never been to Wawa, be brave, and just do it. Boo I visit this location the most. Guaranteed, that I will visit one a day (for my daily delicious smoothie). I've have never been treated so rudely. The woman making the frozen drinks obviously dislikes her job so she must treat people as unhappy as she is. The cashier was extremely nice and patient. But the other lady has really made me feel unwelcome and an obvious nuisance to her. There are two Wawas in Lakeland and this is probably the better of the two, probably because it's newer. And since it's new it's big, sleek and clean. I've been to a lot of WW's around Florida and this one is consistently the cleanest. Staff here are pretty knowledgeable and service is pretty quick. No riff raff at this location as far as I can tell. They have a surprisingly good beer selection, too. Lots of singles - more than you usually see at a gas station. Not that it's a Total Wine or anything, but if you're in a pinch this place may suffice. My only complaint would be that there's no way to exit onto Bartow road and make a left turn. I learned that the hard way. If you want to head north on Bartow, exit through the Dollar General parking lot onto Edgewood and then turn at the light. read more

Now open 3 years, I wanted to up date my review from 4 stars to 2 stars. On my most recent trip, they had their lit sign stating gas was 2.37 but when you went to pump gas only the 2.71/gallon pump was working. When I inquired they said "yeah they were out" and "no clue" when it would be refilled. If their cheapest gas is 2.71 that's what the sign should say. Unlikely I will gas here again. None of the food is any better than a 7-11 in cost or quality. This area has gained a few homeless who "hang out" and make everyone uncomfortable. It is so large I don't know if anyone would be safe during an issue, there's too much for employees to keep up with. read more

I had a long drive ahead of me so I came here to get some gas. I saw that they had some ready made breakfast sandwiches so I thought I would try one. I decided on the sausage, cheese and egg biscuit. It was delicious. I think the bread to insides ratio was a little bread heavy, but I'm just being nit picky. The biscuit was fluffy and buttery. The egg was covered in cheese well. Overall a nice filling snack to hold me over until I got to my destination. read more

Love the WaWa! The grand opening week presented its fair share of mix ups and/or shortages but the staff seems to be handling and improving. Food is great - breakfast egg/ham panini is delish. This is by far the best gas station franchise. I love the hoagies that you can order and the smoothies. Their gas is usually the cheapest you can find and the customer service is always the best. Hooray, a Wawa on the southside of Lakeland! This location has a lot of Grand Opening deals going on right now- $2.99 Shorti hoagies, 59 cent soda, etc. Plenty of ordering screens for sandwiches and other meals. Unfortunately, my label and ticket number were put on someone else's sandwich so I came home with something different than I ordered, but I'm assuming these sorts of problems will be eliminated as the staff gains more experience. Everyone was friendly and there was a sufficient amount of workers present for the opening crowds. read more

First off I want to start off with I am new to the area that has wawa. So when I discovered it I instantly fell in love with everything they sell. Sandwiches. Soups. Quesadillas bowls cream smoothies. Everything delicious I go to wawas about 4 times a week all throughout central Florida. This one is the closest to home. I came in around 530 am to grab my morning meal. My food came out at a decent time. But I waited over 15 minutes to get my smoothie made ... one gentlemen working the food line ( slim with glasses ) seemed to be working by himself. Knocking the orders out. Then a young lady. Blondeish with a red shirt seemed to just focused on one customer who she seemed to be flirting with. She walked through the smoothie section. Looked at the screen that said my order was over 10 minutes made an oh damn face and kept walking. 6 minutes later after attempting to explain that she's the only one working the back she finally called to have someone make the smoothies. Now there are 6 smoothienorders on the screen. I'm very disappointed no other wawa has been operated like this. The guy who made the smoothies made some of the best smoothies I've had at a wawa yet. But if the red shirt individual is the manager there's an issue there. Will drive to the other wawa to avoid this read more
