Cool Lotto Vending Machine
Louis R.

I suspect this is the first and/or last Wawa - "Geographically" in the State of Delaware - given its location on Route 13; - Its is extremely busy. Got a kick out of the "Undercover" Cop that was trying to hide out in the Parking Lot - I dug the really cool electronic Lotto Ticket dispensing machine. Not sure what else to say - But, was a tad bit disappointed that they didn't have the "Seeded Italian Bread" that they had over in NJ. Well run!

What would I do without this Wawa on my drives home from New York City? There could never be a more strategically chosen location. It's the first gas/convenience store after the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The area is in an oasis of food, rest stops, and fuel between two long stretches of driving - the New Jersey Turnpike & Delaware Highway One, a high speed toll road. One learns exactly the toll plaza lane to choose in order to quickly move over and exit to reach this Wawa. Be vigilant & speedy or you'll miss it. The store itself is the typical wonderful Wawa. It is always well stocked with a plethora of choices. Their hot deli sandwiches, cooked to order, are wonderful. And your order is prepared fast. I love their Philly Cheesesteak. It shouldn't be a surprise that this sandwich is wonderful since Wawa is a Philly area chain. If you want a grab & go cold sandwich, there are plenty of choices. These offers are appetizing, many packed with a small bag of apple slices. One's road stop at Wawa wouldn't be complete without a caffeine fix. They have a full selection of soft drinks & excellent coffee choices. My favorite "wake me up" is the Fat Free French Vanilla Cappuccino. The rest rooms are conveniently located but not kept completely clean. Considering the heavy traffic, they could benefit from being larger. A more thorough check by the staff of the necessary rest room supplies, especially in the late afternoon rush hour, would be appreciated. And please, take away those machines that blow air at hurricane levels. Paper towels would be a great improvement. Before leaving the store can I mention that both the store employees & one's fellow patrons are very friendly. The last item on my check list is topping off the gas tank before the final stretch. This is always accomplished at a good price at Wawa. I've stopped at this Wawa many times in the past. I'll continue to do so in the future. Can I call it my little corner of Delaware?i

Sometimes a bit crowded when ordering lunch, but they offer quick and friendly service with a smile.

Endangered my unborn child, destroyed the evidence, and then dismissed me…read more On 11/24/25, I ate a Wawa salad containing a dead fly. I am pregnant and was terrified for the safety of my baby. I ended up in the ER with diarrhea, severe vomiting and uterine cramping. I couldn't keep food down for two days and lost my appetite for four more days after that. The way Wawa handled this was appalling: Destruction of Evidence: I told Catherine C (Customer Relations) I planned to contact a lawyer that I know who could have the food tested for further contamination. She insisted I return it to the store for 'internal testing.' I complied. The store manager, Nambia at the time offered me $6.99 to resolve the issue. I later found out that Wawa's Corporate team contacted the store and instructed them to discard the salad. Dismissive Corporate Response: Michelle Chapman (Michelle.chapman@helmsmantpa.com) has been completely dismissive of my trauma. She passed the blame to their supplier, Taylor Farms and did not provide any further resolution beyond $6.99. Wawa tricked me into giving back the evidence, destroyed it, and now refuses to take accountability. Take caution if you eat at this Wawa. Side note: I have been going to wawa faithfully since I was a child...sometimes 10+ times a month, which my wawa app will reflect. The way the store manager and corporate handled this is disappointing to say the least.

Ranking Wawa(s) , this location is outstanding. I order food here at least once a week. Super fast…read moreand Courteous.
