I need to get this out so other people do not suffer from this business as I have. I USED to go to this Wawa for gas until I began having an issue with my vehicle. My check engine light came on and I went to the dealership to have my vehicle serviced. $129 later for a diagnostic test, it was revealed that my gas cap was broken. Now, this is literally the ONLY place I get my gas at, and as we know, in NJ they pump your gas. A gas attendant had BROKEN my gas cap off.
When I called the store to speak to a manager about this issue, I was told, "can you call back in 10 minutes he's really busy?" Um.....OK..... So figuring wow he's really busy obviously to busy to even speak to a customer I'll give hime 30 minutes. So, 30 minutes I call back later, again ask to speak to a manager and AGAIN was told, "yeah....he's busy, can you call back in like 15 minutes?" After responding, "no not really, I already was told to call back in 10 minutes, the person on the other end said, "well I'm sorry I can't let you talk to him" CLICK...hung up, yes just HUNG up on me. Never got to speak to a manager. Tried calling back later that evening at around 9:30 pm when someone ELSE said the same thing, "can you call back in 10 minutes he's busy rigt now?". This is unacceptable. Clearly there's a manager here that is too busy to even speak with the people that are keeping his business RUNNING. It gets worse.
After NOT going here for gas EVER again, I still figured I'd go in for food as it is convenient and on route to my job. Got a fruit cup and cofee despite flys hovering over the soda and cofee counter (dirty and gross) and actually asked to speak to a manager hoping maybe to talk to him in person about my previous issue. I was told he was, "in the back helping the food counter and can't speak to customers right now. You could always try back later." RRRRR this is crazy but I tried being polite thanked the woman at the cash register, paid for my fruit cup and cofee and went on my merry way.
Get to work, open the fruit cup, take ONE bit of a grape, spit it out. It tastes funky. Grab a piece of cantelope and am in utter shock that there is MOLD literally green MOLD in the middle and through out the cup. Strike two Wawa. So, knowing how this turn of events would go down, I reluctantly decide to call Wawa. Ask to speak to a manager, GET THE SAME response as last time, HE'S BUSY CAN YOU CALL BACK IN 15 MINUTES? This is NOT acceptable, you break my gas cap, you keep a filthy store, you serve MOLDY fruit and YOU CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. It gets worse.
I asked my boyfriend one day if he could grab me food at Wawa. There's a Wawa on RT. 70 that just serves food (no gas) and it's literally across from where he works. That's the one I go to now and thought he was going to grab food there. He instead was closer to THIS Wawa and got a salad there. Ugh, reluctantly I opened up the salad after arguing with him about even going to this wawa to buy ANY type of food, and yes, just as I had expected, white creamy slim on the turkey meat in my salad. STRIKE 3. I'm glad I didn't buy that salad, but I also didn't eat it either and I didn't even bother to call them on this because I KNOW what the response would be.
Please, anyone reading this, save yourself your hard earned money and go to ANY other Wawa BESIDE this one. Oh and btw, I have NEVER had an issue at ANY other Wawa. It must be that BUSY BUSY manager! read more
