I found a plaid shirt for less than 15 bucks. That is unheard these inflationary days. We got a little hungry so I ordered a $1.00 soft pretzel (not messing with Royal Farms). I also ordered a frozen berry yogurt which was about $2.50. My lady and I joked about just coming to have a dinner night. The counter was mostly all self check out. This review is regarding their Tire Department. I strongly recommend not purchasing your tires from Sams Club! I have had a couple of instances where they didn't balance the tires properly. I had someone else do it correctly after I experienced vibration after purchasing a new set both times. Then just now, I wanted them to troubleshoot why one of my tires on another car was loosing air despite not having a nail or screw in the tire. This was my second time bringing this issue to them. They told me they couldn't find a leak and dismissed my issue like I was stupid. I took it to a real tire place, and they found that the tire wasn't beaded properly with the rim and repaired the issue. Buy from these incompetents at your own peril. read more

I had an awful experience here. Despite being the third person in a very short line, it took what felt like 45 minutes just to be helped. The store started with two employees at the counter, then one left--while there were still people waiting--leaving only one person to manage everything. I came in with my family to do a simple return. They went off to shop while I waited in line. By the time they finished shopping and came back to check on me, I was still waiting. I didn't get what I went for buuut like a Target shopping accident, I bought more than I had intended. A cute sporty outfit for my daughter, some Easter basket items, and an adorable 'Tangerine' skort for myself. The store was pristine! So clean and big, clear signage. Nice employees too - I urge seventeen year olds to shop here - the younger male greeter was gorgeous! I (self!) checked myself out w no issues & the price gun was pretty fun. I have always been a Bjs member, we happened to be at a friends house in Jersey trying to figure out dinner, I suggested we see what Sam's had to offer. My friend had never been to one before so we went to find dinner. This club was so clean & the workers were extremely friends during helpful. I normally would never go at 4 pm on a Saturday but it was not super crowded and the bonus for us were all of the sampling stations throughout the store. This Deptfort Sam's Club is as good as Sam's Clubs get - located in the bustling new Deptford shopping plaza. This is a nice big clean store, where stock is well-organized and plentiful. The associates are always so welcoming and friendly, ready to help whenever you need them but without being a bother to you. All the Sam's essentials are here: a nice cafe, travel club, optical center, automotive, and gas. I particularly wish to point out how awesome the automotive department is. Every time I come here I am reminded why I choose to buy my tires here, even though I live 14 miles away. From my experience, this club seems to keep on top of its wide-ranging stock of tire, and the mechanics always seem to go out of their way to accommodate whatever schedule you might have for your needs. It would be awesome if there were a Sam's Club located closer to Center City, especially for when something happens such as the recent time when I had a nail in my tire; but whenever I need service, or just wish to have a pleasant shopping experience, I am reminded of why I make the extra effort to get here to Deptford. read more

Ok so I ha e been a member here a long time and I like a lot of their merchandise. I appreciate they stopped bugging you to upgrade your membership all the time cause that used to really annoy me. My one gripe is the line after you already waited to pay when a person at the exit door needs to look over my receipt. I don't understand the reason for it. No other store does this just because they don't give you bags I don't know why it's assumed I didn't go through check out. If you have a receipt let me out of the door I am waiting in line two times. I mean we are paying to be members if it's the bag thing spring for cheap bags. I mean most times they make sure you have a membership when you come in anyway. I don't know it just annoys me and when the store is crowded the line at the exit gets really backed up with only one person checking receipts and carts. read more

The optical department took FOREVER. Only one of the two employees was actually able to look up our insurance and we had to wait and extra 20 minutes while they had an eye exam in the middle of the room and other customers came and left around us. They prioritized EVERY OTHER PERSON but me and lol if their contacts weren't so cheap, there is NO WAY I would have stayed. I have been critical of Sam's in the past for their lack of open checkout lanes, especially during busier times. During my last couple visits I did not have any problems, and I recently found their self checkout lanes to be the fastest way to go, if you don't mind scanning your own stuff and paying with debit. In case I haven't said it before, the sandwich rolls from their bakery are the freshest (and cheapest) around. Their country style spare ribs are also now a regular purchase from here, simply because they are such a bargain and they cook up nice and tender. Bought gasoline a couple times here too, always a few cents cheaper than everywhere else AND you don't need a membership card for gas. No kidding. You still have to wait in the dumb long lines though. I like to get gas before I go shopping here, so I don't have to wait forever to fill my tank while I have bags of groceries in the car. Last and most importantly, the TV we purchased from here about a year ago got fried during a recent thunder storm. The damage to the TV was not covered under the manufacturer's warranty, but it was covered under the extended warranty we purchased through Sam's, from day one! They sent out a repairman a couple days after we submitted the claim, and he informed us it would cost more than the TV is worth to repair it, so Sam's would most likely replace it. Less than a week later we received a check in the mail to replace the TV. We then bought a newer and nicer model TV, also from Sam's, with their extended warranty. Highly recommended! read more

I'm a wholesaler who's been buying from SAMs Deptford for a few years now. The old manger don was great and took care of us. The new manger Jesus has been giving me such a hard time. I canceled a 6,000 order today bc he wouldn't take back $200 in returns which I was always able to return in the past, which was still in date. They complained that they couldn't find in it the system, so I printed it for them and still refused to take it back even though it's in their policy. First of all it's just plain laziness to not being able to look up my order in the system. And secondly to treat a big customer like this is ridiculous. He just lost $300,000 a year of business from me. To me, this manager is not business savvy and doesn't have any common sense. He was also rude and didn't want to give us his full name or business card when we told him we wanted to report this to corporate. He stated , he is the only Jesus at this location. This man was very unprofessional and we hope corporate will do something about him. read more

Checkout always takes forever. Any time of day. I've been carrying a recipe around in my wallet for years because every time I go in there they tell me my membership is expired. After longer than I'd like to admit, I learned my lesson. I still get told all the time that my membership has expired, but I have my proof on me. Unfortunately, this makes check out even longer. Sam's club is great for getting wholesale items, but when it comes to glasses, tires, etc.. They are lacking, they have long wait times for service. Today we visited their tire department, for which we made an appointment 4 days ago. The sales rep was so dry, no good morning, appeared to have no energy about being at work. To top it off the employee who was suppose to order our tires 4 days ago didn't. The so called manager was no better, no apology for not ordering our tires. We had quite a large order to pick up and this was our first experience at this sams. The staff made it easy for us to pickup and have a pallet of h2o put on the back of our truck. You can't pump your own gas in New Jersey.. Sam's Club has always had gas attendants out at the pumps to pump for you. Today there was a attendant washing customers windshields. I went to the gas station at 6:45 am this morning and waited 10 minutes only to see an employee putting cones up to block lot and start to walk away. I had to get out of the car and ask the guy if they were open to which he replied no sorry they all called out. He saw me pull in and pop my gas tank open and the only reason I knew that weee closed was I had to tell across lot as he was going back to main store. Lousy customer service I guess I will go to BJ'S around the corner from now on. All this could have been avoided if employee came to the car and told me they were closing it was 45 minutes after they were supposed to open that I pulled up to get gas. BAD MANAGEMENT read more

BEWARE - WARNING. JOPITICAL REVIEW- Several years ago, I had my exam with Dr. Elizabeth. I stopped going for several years but I decided to go before the covid pandemic and I saw the new doctor they had. I told her that I only had problems seeing at very long distances. The way she looked at me gave me an uncomfortable impression. Then she decided to put a few drops and another different drops again, and after those drops I began to see like mini shapes of ants or insects and spots, graphic shapes and I have never been able to see normal as before. At the time I thought it was something new, as my previous doctors have used dilating eye drops before. I bought the glasses and I found the prescription in the glasses was uneven and very strong. I complained and she told me that it was normal, that with time I would get used to it. In reality, that was a lie, she did it on purpose to hurt my eyes. Now I don't see near or far. In less than a month of wearing the glasses, I couldn't see without them, I couldn't take them off at all. My daughter had an eye exam, years ago, somewhere else and was told she was 20/20. To prove my point, I took my daughter to see her without letting her know about my daughter 20/20 vision! and she told my daughter that she needed glasses to read and see long distance. It's been almost 3 years and my daughter doesn't need glasses at all, she can see perfectly. Doctors today are damaging people's eyesight to have permanent clients. BEWARE. I do not recommend this woman at all, she is not trustworthy, she is not a good doctor, and she has a very bad vibe. You have to be evil to do things like this to people just to make money. Sam's club has always been the preferred wholesale of my girlfriend and while is nowhere near us we got a Groupon deal since our BJ's membership was about to expire. The gentlemen at the customer service desk was super nice but informed us they were out of the certain membership card so we received a temp one which isn't a big deal since the gf was craving one of their hotdogs. She also just loves their cheap Nathan's hotdogs in their cafe (1.50 for drink and drink) and I have to admit it was huge and tasty. The bad first impression was there was nobody in the cafe even though we could hear lots of slamming in the back. I had to ask the lady in the express aisle and she literally just yelled to the back from the counter (it was actually pretty amusing) and commented that there are two kids back there but one should be up front. The "kids" came from the back and one left while the other was def not in a good mood. He said hello but after that it was total Mr. Cranky Pants. While eating I kept seeing people wait at the counter, look behind the counter and then look around for help. Every time the kid came out eventually and look annoyed. Oh....the place itself was fine and can't really come to a conclusion since we were so annoyed with the kid getting our dog. And yes I know I spent way to much time on the cafe that shouldn't be obsessed over since it's in a Sam's Club but dammit we wanted that hot dog! read more

EVERY time i call sams club about my tires im put on hold for sometimes up to and over 10 minutes before someone picks up and says they are to busy to get the phone and to call back. The woman i spoke to was very rude and cut me off. I love the deals I can find at Sams club.The family and I have been coming here for years! In fact that is the only reason I continue to return. The customer service at the membership desk is horrible. The LADIES curse in front of customers and are rude! I literally have seen the manager come up and curse while talking to the associate and they both burst out into laughter. Where is that acceptable at!? Do not attempt to call to reach any department. Horrible phone etiquette. Like others i to am always out on hold and hung up on. HOWEVER, the auto department is surely the highlight of this store. All the young men are kind and respectful. I went to the Sam's in Turnersville today for tires that I had gotten a quote for earlier in the week. They were out of stock on all the tires I needed, but the attendant said deptford might have what I was looking for. He didn't have the ability to check the inventory on their computers, and said that since they were always kept on hold when they tried to call to check it was usually better if the customer called instead. He got the number for me, and when I called I was promptly put on hold for the tire department. 5 minutes later nobody had ever picked up so I hung up and tried back. Same result, put on hold and nobody ever picked up. I called again and asked for a manager...was put on hold again. ..and 7 minutes later nobody had ever picked up. Called AGAIN asking directly for a manager, was put on hold, and never answered. All told I was on hold for close to 30 minutes. This is beyond unacceptable. If a manager isn't available, the receptionist at the membership counter should have offered to take my information and have my call returned, not get all huffy when I ask to have my call answered after half a dozen attempts to call. Horrible customer relations, very unimpressed, took my business to the Tires Plus right across the street (at the recommendation of the attendant at the Sam's in turnersville, who was appalled and very apologetic about Deptford's failure) read more
