You need to continue to pay for 30 days (which ends up being two monthly treatments if you cancel after the day you were charged) and then they do not tell you that you need to use your credit within a certain time frame before they take it all. Will never go to the Chandler location, nor speak highly of it! Don't know how I got a membership there, but they took $60 out of my bank account monthly. Then when I didn't spend it in a certain timeframe, they were closing it and were going to keep my money.. for what reason they thought the bay should be entitled to my money I have no clue! DONT DO A MEMBERSHIP THERE!! Plus, they take forever to do a full bikini wax.. it takes forever. It's not a good job, and the way they have you lay is ridiculous. So I started calling they don't take calls. You can leave a message with the receptionist that doesn't mean you're gonna get a call back and I never did. COVID-19 Vaccinated Review: After your first visit, expect to pay about $80 (tax and tip included) for a Brazilian wax. Some reviews mention a "strict no-tipping policy," but that's no longer the case. They do ask for tip when you're checking out (in the same way that restaurants do, where you just add it to your bill). On my second visit, I walked 10 minutes prior to my appointment and stood in the reception area for about 5 minutes before someone walked up to the desk and apologized for the wait. It was really bizarre. I then was told to wait outside the suite, which I did. At the time of my appointment, my cerologist opened the door and called back a different client. I didn't realize this had happened because I was seated in the chair they'd provided with my back to the door. About 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I walked back in to see what was going on. They were clearly in a panic and told me that my cerologist had called back the wrong client. However, they had not bothered to inform me of this until I came in to ask what was taking so long. A few other facts: it was my 35th birthday, and I had a pretty tight schedule approaching the dinner hour. The delay was VERY stressful on a day that should have just been relaxing. They set me up with another cerologist (Christie), who was phenomenal and got me out of there on time despite the late start. Crystal is an amazing cerologist and I followed her from a previous location of WTC to here because she is just that good. Like anyone else that never had a Brazillian before, I was nervous about my first appointment. But Crystal made the process easy and she really knows the correct techniques - to wax gently but effectively. Other cerologists go way too fast and miss to pluck every little strand. Crystal, on the other hand, is super detail-oriented and makes you feel brand new every time. I'm very meticulous myself and she passes my standards. I remember after our first session feeling so smooth and that's when my hair follicles were the most stubborn. Now I'm 2 years into Brazillian and can't imagine having it done by anyone else but her. When something came up in my day, my originally scheduled appointment time no longer worked, so I called to reschedule and they were willing to reschedule me last minute for the following day. I asked if they could call me if anything earlier in the day became free due to cancellations, and they called the morning of my appointment and were able to get me in earlier. When I arrived, I was greeted cheerfully by Vanessa and while walking into my room for my appointment, I could hear people laughing and talking as I was passing their room, so I knew this was going to be a great experience from the start. I had an appointment with Vanessa for a Brazilian wax and she was amazing! She made it as painless as possible and made me feel comfortable; we talked and laughed throughout the whole appointment. I found Waxing The City as I was looking for a business that used hard wax instead of soft, strip wax or sugars to remove hair. I was surprised to find only a few venues in Dallas that do this. I also wanted a place where the aestheticians are professionals and are given the appropriate time to work, rather than rushed through each wax to churn clients. Finally, I wanted a place I felt comfortable in. Waxing the City passes on all of this criteria! The best part of all is that you can book your appointments online (and appointments are certainly required here). No more awkward phone conversations. I found a aesthetician I loved and booked all my appointments with her for six months in one sitting. The online portal allows you to rebook, making it really simple to copy a previous appointment. And they also keep your credit card on file, so when I check out they never even need to see my card. Very convenient! It's a plus, of course, if you can find an aesthetician you really click with. The one I loved recently left, and now I'm kicking myself for having signed up for the Black Book program (where you pay in advance for 12 services). Everyone I've had an appointment with has been pleasant, but I just enjoy having some consistency in my life! I've read a lot in other Yelp reviews about a "no tipping policy" but ever since I've been going to Waxing The City (since July 2015), I have heard nothing about it and I've always been asked if I wanted to leave a tip. After researching a few waxing places in the area I landed on this one mainly because of another reviewer who commented on Celeste in specific so I booked with her as well. She made me feel extremely comfortable and her technique made the whole Brazilian process easy. Not only did she make it as pain free as possible but she was extremely detailed going back knocker spots with a tweezer. We talked the whole time and she gave great product recommendations as well. She also tinted my brows and they were perfect. I've been to another place and they went way too dark but Celeste understood that dark skin doesn't necessarily translate to pitch black tint. She would go back over areas and tweeze if needed to make sure as much hair was removed as possible. Brazilian waxing is going to hurt no matter what, but she did everything she could to make sure it was as bearable as possible. If possible, I would have rated my recent experience with zero stars. I have used this waxing service in the past, but will never be returning. I had a brow and above-lip wax with horrific results. I received second degree burns above my lips which included blisters and as well as red scabs. I can get only hope the scarring is not permanent! When I called the business to report what happened, I was told not to worry about it and that it would eventually heal on its own. I tried calling back to speak to the manager, but my call was never returned. If you are not worried about the possibility of severe burns, then this is the place for you! read more

Okay so first of all, Crystal is wonderful!! She is so so sweet and genuine. She made me feel so comfortable during my Brazilian and made the day whole experience virtually painless. She paid great attention to detail and was such a warm soul. Definitely book with her. As soon as I came in, I was surprised by how clean and sanitized they kept the establishment. They really make sure you feel safe and at ease during these difficult times. I will say that their pricing is a little on the higher side, but very worth it as they include the upper leg, back side, and stomach strip in their Brazilian, along with a soothing serum at the end.
