I've been coming here for about 2-2.5 years, and unfortunately my experience has been pretty inconsistent. I typically saw Emily, who was okay, but I was never fully satisfied with my results. I often dealt with bumps afterward, which made me question the technique and overall quality of the service. For the price, especially with the membership, I just don't feel like the results match what you're paying for. I started going to Radiant Waxing in 2019 when it was formally known as Lunchbox. Back then, I will say things were a lot cleaner, and that's the only reason why I'm giving this place one star. The service has always been great including my visit today. I really enjoyed my service and the person that provided that service. SCAM DO NOT GO. They canceled last minute on me 6 months ago and I told them to cancel my subscription since I couldn't rely on them and soft wax doesn't work well for brazillians and they gave me a fight then said it was canceled. I even got a call from the owner trying to get me back as a client. I didn't respond. I just found out they've still been charging me for 6 MONTHS. For never going there. Submitting a complaint to the BBB and fighting charges with my cc company. They act like they have a contract with you and don't let you stop paying. Inexperienced girls doing this with wax that doesn't work well on coarse hair. Go somewhere professional instead. read more

It's easy to book an appointment online, there's plenty of parking, and I was in and out so quickly! Plus, they do the Bogo for new clients, which is an added bonus. Tiffany was extremely professional, very quick, and it wasn't anywhere near as painful as I thought it would be. She had me talking the whole time, so I felt super comfortable, and before I knew it, we were done! First time visiting Radiant Wax because my esthetician is out on maternity leave. The establishment was clean and inviting. Deja did my wax and I was not fan. She may be new and hasn't developed/perfected her customer service skills or waxing techniques. I have been to Radiant Waxing Turtle Creek (formerly Lunchbox Wax) several times, and up until my last appointment everything always went smoothly. After this experience, I will NEVER come back here again. I came in for my normal Brazilian and the girl they put me with, Ashley, did not look much older than 22-23. Although she seemed quite young compared to the other staff, I foolishly trusted Radiant Waxing to not assign untrained waxers with regular clients without their knowledge. Boy, was I wrong. What happened next was akin to pure torture. For reference, Brazilian waxing appointments usually take around 15-20 minutes max. I was there for nearly an HOUR in excruciating pain while Ashley took her sweet time waxing the smallest, 1-inch areas over and over again. Even if you don't have sensitive skin, waxing the same area multiple times causes damage and at the very least, a LOT of pain. I have gotten Brazilian waxes every 4-6 weeks for the past several years, so I would think I know what to expect at this point. Ashley clearly had zero idea what she was doing, as she was literally contorting herself to try to place the waxing strips on the correct areas. At one point I even asked her if I needed to move around as she was obviously struggling, which she declined. It felt like she was placing the strips at the most random areas and the wax was continually being stuck in my skin as she did not pull it taught where it folded in. I remember looking up around the 30-minute mark and was shocked at how much hair was left. At the beginning of the appointment. I had asked Ashley to leave a small triangle at the top of my labia (a very normal request), and after she attempted to do so, she stopped and told me that she would have to get ANOTHER WAXER to come in and help her as she did not know how to create a shape like that. She left the room and brought in another woman, who went back over my raw skin WHILE ASHLEY WATCHED! I did not sign up to be a training dummy for inexperienced waxers. To make matters worse, the triangle that this "veteran" waxer did was so lopsided I nearly laughed when I looked in the mirror. When it was finally over, they offered to tweeze some stray hairs but as I had been there for nearly an HOUR and I was already running incredibly late for a hair appointment (since I did not plan on wasting so much time there), I had to decline. I don't believe in making a scene so I simply paid, even gave her a small tip, and got out of there. I was absolutely floored at the unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for customer care Ashley and this establishment had. No one said anything to me; no apologies from that incompetent girl OR the other staff, no offers for a discount, no nothing. If you are considering booking your next waxing appointment at Radiant Waxing Turtle Creek, here's some advice: DON'T. I will never waste another cent at this horrible salon and weeks later, I am still dealing with the painful effects from this wax. read more

Love this place! I'll never go back to hard wax. I was apprehensive to try it because the price point was higher than most of the hard wax places I has go en to. However, after more research and reading reviews I figured I'd give this place a try. I'm so happy I did. The soft wax is WAYYY better quality and not as harsh on my skin. It still gets everything clean and smooth. And it hurts significantly less than hard wax. Dessiny is the best! She's thorough and efficient. Not satisfied. I went home just for my boyfriend to find out that there was still some hair left behind! (And no, this area of hair was not in the first phases of hair growth, I had my hair grow out for a month). The waxing time here is a long 30min and a bit on the pricier side compared to its competitors. You'd think that with a whole 30 min that she wouldn't have missed a spot, wrong. It's unfortunately when you pay for a service just to have it done half assed. I had to go home and finish cleaning up what was started. Definitely not worth spending your money here, there are cheaper places who can do a terrific job and in less time. read more

Just finished my Brazilian wax here, the appointment was a bit overdue but I've been getting waxed regularly for years. The shop is nice, clean and comfortable. My waxer somehow missed lots of small hairs though . I will give her credit for effort because after I pointed it out she did tweeze more. But it seems the wax wasn't placed properly to have so many short hairs still. I would say that if you are used to or looking to being waxed completely hairless this spot might not be for you. I feel like I have the two day shaving stubble look immediately after my wax so kind of disappointing for $63 bucks. I do plan on giving this shop another try and will update on that experience. read more

I went back and forth on writing this review because, throughout all of the reviews, no one seemed to experience the same thing I did. I thought maybe I was overreacting, but then I thought maybe every other woman is too embarrassed to talk about it. No matter the case, my experience here needs to be talked about. The number one issue I had with my Brazilian wax service was the fact that Dessiny applied HAND SANITIZER between my inner and outer labia. Never before have I had that done to me and I've had over a dozen Brazilians elsewhere. This may be graphic, but however cringe-worthy it may feel for you to read this, multiply that by ten and you'd have what I felt. She caught me off guard when she did it, so she explained they apply that to keep the area moist so that the wax doesn't accidentally stick to it. This is not to be confused with the pre-wax oil they apply to the skin. Prior to this, everything I had experienced thus far had exceeded my expectations, so I went forward with the wax. For whatever reason, Desi decided to rip away what felt like one-inch swatches, and it seemed like there was no rhyme or reason as to which way she pulled the strip. I've had my fair share of waxes, I have the routine down in my head, and this wasn't anything like that. I thought maybe I was just imagining that she was taking such small strips, but 15 mins into the appointment I looked down and was shocked to see she wasn't even halfway done. Everywhere else I've gone, we're usually finishing up by the 15-minute mark. I know the appointment slot is 30 mins but I've never had anyone take the full 30; in fact, we ended taking around 45 minutes. At one point as I stared at the clock in agony, I almost asked her to start taking larger swatches to spare me the pain. She knew I was a waxing veteran so idk why she felt the need to take such small sections. THEN to add insult to injury, she kept fixating on the quantity and quality of my hair, and even went "huh..." at one point and informed me that my hair grew in a "funny way" in one area and that she had never seen that before. For such a personal service, the last thing I want to hear is that my nether region is weird and unlike anything you've ever seen. Four days after my appointment, I got a UTI. I'm not going to 100% blame Lunchbox for that because with UTIs it's hard to really narrow down what led to it, and even my GYN told me not to fixate on it because it could've been so many factors. But considering this was the first time I had ever had a UTI and the timing....it's tough not to wonder if my wax played a role. Although I was showered, used the sanitary wipe given to me, wore cotton panties, etc. my hunch is that the hand sanitizer applied irritated such a sensitive area and was just the kindling that started the fire. In addition to that, I ended up with horrific ingrowns. They were so bad that a few got infected and led to scarring. Speaking of scarring, by day 2, I had very obvious burns and places where the skin had lifted, which led to scarring. Ultimately I regret ever coming here and I refuse to come back, not even for my free appointment. I'm not upset that it was painful, I'm not upset that it took so long, and I'm not even upset about the UTI because I know there are risks associated with getting a Brazilian. What I'm upset with is the unprofessionalism and why hand sanitizer was placed on such a sensitive area. I want an explanation for that, because maybe I'm just your average girl and this is actually a trade secret, but regardless I want to know. In hindsight, I feel dumb for not stopping the wax right then and there but I trusted LunchBox. read more

I was so excited to try Lunchbox out for my Brazilian due to the rating of 4.9 they have. (If I could leave a 0 star rating I would) Little did I know I was going to come out with rashes. Emily kept going over and over my mons pubis (right above my vagina) with the hot wax. At the time, she kept apologizing for the fact that she kept going over that area, and I told her not to worry about it since I wasn't feeling the damage of the act at the time. By the late evening it was literally hard for me to walk normally and without kind of limping. Today I noticed that the area and some parts of my upper labia started having scabs, and the tears started falling. Got my arms and underarms waxed, when I got home I still had a section of hair on my arm. As for my underarms it looked as if I hadn't shaved in 2-3 days so I had to pluck the hairs.
