I have had lash extensions at another salon and felt like they gave me a falsies look, these just look like 1 coat of mascara. They would look nice for a "natural" set but having signed up for the glam set I am let down. That being said the studio was neat, clean, and staff friendly. I am just not sure I would return for a fill or any other services. *update* After posting my review the salon reached out offering to update my lashes in order to achieve the look I desired. I felt this was very generous and appreciated the gesture. I returned and was serviced by Rose. I really like the look of my new lashes and was informed that my dissatisfaction may have been due to a misunderstanding. My first appointment started late and therefore the lash tech was not able to discuss the lash options, lengths and curls. She applied what she felt was appropriate for my natural lashes. I would recommend upgrading to the "laser lashes" as they gave me the glam look I was looking for. I personally did not feel the standard "glam" 60 lashes per eye was enough. Come in to the salon with clear expectations that you communicate to your tech.

So because she didn't have my lenth ... she went in and ripped my lashes out telling me they were all old ones (my last fill was 1o days ago) and then she CUT down the rest of them. She then puts some lashes in and tells me she has to charge me for a 3 week fill and not 2 because she filled me to the brim after pulling out old lashes. At the time I still don't care. She finishes, I walked in with mega volume lashes and nowww I have patches missing and one eye is longer then the other. I paid 115 dollars to walk in with fuller lashes then i left with! For a holiday again im LIVID. Danielle should be ashamed of herself! ... I had to make another appt with my Sam S at Laina Luxe salon on feet Thursday.. abs im actually scared and embarrassed for her too see what this woman did to my lashes ! And tell her what she charged me. Clearly this was the case of the owner being lazy not wanting to do her job, AND the over charge was because there's a covid infestation downstairs and they had to shut down and she's scared she willl. Here's a tip danielle ... invest in lash options.. and as an owner hold back the spite you preform on your customers when you can see they have gone somewhere else.

It took three hours at the salon for her to turn my hair silver and then orange when I came back a week later for her to "fix it." I was charged $200 for this nightmare. When I called her the next morning she agreed to see me again to fix it. During that time she admitted to me the picture I showed her she wasn't able to do in the first place. I asked her why didn't she tell me that in the first place. She kept bringing up the picture of my hair and saying it was pretty. I continued to tell her it wasn't what I wanted and now my blonde hair is gone... I paid $200 for her to ruin my hair and now I'll have to pay someone to fix it again before my wedding. I have heard/seen amazing results from the other stylist there, unfortunately I would not recommend Jen. Below is the picture When she "fixed it" ...very streaky.

I just had a male Brazilian wax (full) here....I have had many male Brazilian waxes before but this place is by far the best I ever had...first...the place is very clean and welcoming...second (and most important to me) my Cerologist ...Elina is the best !!!...she was very welcoming...asked all the right questions and when it came down to the business of waxing...she was on point in everything...she kept the conversation flowing during the awkward moments and....believe me when I say this.....I'm not sure if it's the wax they use or Elina herself(I'm leaning towards Elina) but there was literally.. no...or very little pain involved with this waxing...and believe me....I've had a lot of waxing done and none of them compare to this one....I am literally going to drag my wife away from her regular waxer to come and let Elina wax her...I'm sure she will switch over as well...great job....you guys have found a regular customer in me read more

I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new waxing spot. Found one place on Groupon with a good deal but my neighbor did not recommend. On a recent walk through Red Bank, I found Waxing the city. Today I had a Brazilian wax with Kim and the experience was much different than the previous salon that I was going to. Kim was professional, took her time, asked about my ingrown hairs, and used a magnifier. She suggested ways to prevent ingrown hairs and was knowledgeable. The room was professional and comfortable. At the multi services salon, I paid the exact amount but with Waxing the City, I got a professional and thorough waxing. I found my waxing spot and feel good. read more

Binta is a genius! She always takes her time and does a beautiful job! She's very sweet and makes you feel comfortable through the whole appointment. The place is very well kept I always get compliments on my brows since starting with Binta. I went in there two years ago with over plucked brows that needed HELP!!! She gave me some great recommendations and told me to be patient. I listened and she has worked her magic!! I get compliments ALL THE TIME now! Strangers stop me and ask if my brows are micro bladed. Binta was absolutely amazing! I have been growing out my eyebrows since August 2016 to try to finally have a decent brow, so after reading many reviews, I decided to visit Waxing The City in February 2017. Binta was so nice and helpful. She finally gave me the eyebrows I only dreamed that I could have! I drove an hour to get to her, and I can honestly say that it was so worth it. Not to mention the place is very well kept. My first time getting my eyebrows done and I chose the right place to get them done at! This is the second time I have visited Waxing the City in Red Bank and I actually was referred to them by another salon. They are one of the few in Monmouth County that does male Brazilian waxes and the cerologist there, Elina, does a 10 star out of a possible five star job. She is easy to talk to talk to, very gentle (especially when you consider what area is being waxed), and overall a complete professional. I go in feeling like a slob and walk out feeling like a model. I will be back again soon likely in a few weeks. read more

This place is worth every penny. I am very sensitive when it comes to waxing and also quite picky as I want every last bit of hair gone. Not only was the waxing the most painless I've ever experienced, Binta took her time and literally got every hair off of my legs. She also gave me advice on how to exfoliate so that next time any ingrown hairs would come out easier. After reading some not so great reviews about the EWC in the area, I decided to give this place a try. Very glad I did! It's brand new, everything is super clean and all the rooms are much larger than usual. They really take their time, and it's because they are perfectionists. I scheduled a few more appointments on my way out. Best part is new clients get their first service 50% off! It was also nice to not be harassed into buying packages or products which I always find annoying at other places. read more

They were great! The space was beautiful and clean. I had a woman named Binda do me and she was great, very nice and personable. First I filled out a thorough sheet asking about any allergies or skin problems, then she took me back into the room and explained what she was going to do step by step. She also made sure to check in on me and ask about comfort level and explained aftercare advice. All around great place- will def be going back there in the future. read more

As a former patron of The European Wax Center...thought it could not be better. Surprise the Waxing The City location is great in old Red Bank and the venue is first class. The rooms are more spacious and well equipped. The services provided by my waxer, Amanda, were done with a high degree of professionalism. Beautiful, clean space. The wax is soft and doesn't hurt at all. Different from any other Brazilian I've gotten. They wax in small sections so the pain, if any, is minimal.
