    Nichole D.

Beautiful park and reservoir! We went here on the 4th of July so it was crazy busy. There is a lot of grassy space to set up your spot which is really nice to get away from the sand. The beach was big and very clean and the sand was fine (unlike the reservoir in Herriman) so it was nice on your feet. The water is cold but that's to be expected. The views can't be beat, swimming in a lake right up in the mountains is amazing. There are pavilions on the beach that can be rented as well as a concession stand with food and you can check out volleyball, horseshoes and ring toss games. I didn't try the food so I don't know if it's good or not. Also, they have plans to put up a playground which would have been really nice the day we were there. I didn't use the restrooms or changing rooms but I did not hear any complaints from those who did. The only problems I encountered while I was there was mud and having to park far away. It seemed like ALL of the grass was WAY over watered or something because it was all muddy. Even by 5pm when we left the ground was still damp in the best parts and worst parts I got my sandals stuck in the mud. The parking lot is probably a decent size on a normal day but we hade to park way up on the canyon road SUPER far away. We will be back for sure!!

Such a fun place. So fun to walk around the reservoir, play in the sand, and even swim or paddle board.

Small pond with sand and picnic tables. $15 per car to use this pond and park. It's at the base of hobble creek canyon

Nice Park. On the East Side is a skatepark, tennis court, and playground for the kids…read more The center of the park has four ball diamonds facing outward. It is also used for soccer later in the year. The diamonds were build in 2005, along with the park being replanted. Trees are just now getting high enough to provide shade, and it is well kept up. The playground is cleaned pretty regular and there are a few tables for people to sit and enjoy. However if you are planning anything you will need to being anything more. The skate park has its own review page so i will not get into it here. Tennis courts are a wreck. There are better ones at the high school, and these are just kind of falling apart. Yet they still work even if the fences are falling apart. They need to be resurfaced, and repaired. Lights, there are none. So once dark hits baseball is over. They are fields for little league. The tennis lights are slowly falling apart, and do not work anymore. I will mention a few things in regard to the skate park. There is a lot of trash, shirts, and other junk left by the kids there. It blows through the park on windy days. It is also closed during school hours, and at dusk. So the police will come and lock it up. Sadly the remodel did not put a sidewalk in around the park. Be carefull if you are walking/riding around the park. I have seen too many kids and other almost get run over by cars backing out. The bathrooms in the middle suffer from to many vandals. So it is usually a last resort bathroom. Too much damage to windows. I wanted to give a better rating, but there is just too much damage to the buildings, and trash to warrant giving more.. It most likely is a 3.5 but it just does not seem to warrant a 4. Pros: Nice for Baseball, good condition Cons: Trash from skate park, Ghetto tennis courts, dangerous to ride around with crowds.

We loved this park! It has now become one of my daughters absolute favorite and we will work it…read moreinto our weekly routine. It's incredibly convenient that it's right by the Orem Public Library as well! We can go grab a few books for the week and then run around at the park right after! In addition, I love the two distinct parks that are there. There is one for older kids and then this park has a whole section for younger children called the "Tot Lot". The slides, swings, see-saw and all the interaction sections are aimed at a younger crowd. I love the distinction, but my five year old still enjoys running over and playing in this area as well. They have also thoughtfully created shaded areas for the parents to stand under. One by the main playground and then another by the swings. I adore a park with intentional spots of shade! I particularly like the variety of park "obstacles" here. To list a few, there are two different zip lines, four slides at the "big kid park", one slide at the Tot Lot area, a climbing wall, a little merry-go-round, musical instrument area for both parks, monkey bars and obstacles at different heights and so much more. The intention for this park to span age groups was achieved!!! So many things for kids of all ages to explore and play with. We love this park and would recommend to anyone!
