Im a big fan of Sleepy Ridge, especially for the price. I've gone at pretty much every time of year and had a good experience. They take good care of the course and greens. Only once there was some confusion with the starter on where we were supposed to start and when which got us a little behind. Overall a really fun course in a beautiful setting. The rates are great, punch card is an exceptional deal if you feel like you can get 10 rounds in. Snacks at the café have been good and reasonably priced. read more

Sleepy Ridge GC is a championship 18-hole experience most amateur players will appreciate. The par-72 layout features a variety of hole designs allowing the player to blast away into some wide-open fairways (2-5-8-13-17), or play a more strategic shot on many par-fours when water or wetlands guard the fairways or greens. It may not be best suited to the rank beginner, who will find some of the required carries over water or marshlands (1-6-9-10-11-13-15-17) intimidating. The clubhouse occupies only a small portion of the massive building which also hosts many weddings and corporate events, making good use of the well-manicured grounds, fountains, water features, and gardens in this attractive setting. You'll find the golf pro and shop attendants knowledgeable and friendly about golf in general and the course in particular. The shop is well-stocked with everything you need for a good golf experience, including quality rental clubs if you are visiting from out of town. A large practice green and driving range are available for warm-up. The green may be a little too extreme in places, but you can find many reasonable putts, and the driving range is matts-only, so if you must hit from the grass you'll be unhappy about that. (Sometimes they open up some grass areas in front of the mats but it gets so much play the grass cannot recover.) In general, the putting greens are in good condition given the high traffic from public play, which also means that not everyone repairs ball marks. That said, the greens are fair, on the large side, and very playable. Other than the two private clubs in the county, Sleepy Ridge earns a top-3 rating among the 10+ local public golf courses and should be included in your plans when playing golf in Utah County. read more

Great place to swing! Very classy and well-kept. Almost lost a star for me because the course was quite marsh-y and wet but the rest of our experience makes up for it. The clubs we rented were in great shape as was the cart. The staff is very friendly. They have staff on carts circling the course to make sure no one is playing to slow. The older gentleman who came around the first time paused to check in on us and make sure we were having fun and even tossed us a spare ball he found. It is a beautiful course. read more

I enjoy this course...you can use some strategy and it has some great holes...it's not just a step up and hit your driver on every hole. It is also walkable and they have a great clubhouse with a nice selection of apparel and a tasty little grill. The greens are in poor shape... but that's because players aren't fixing their ball marks (rude)... also ... like a lot of public courses... marshals are non existent. read more

We stopped by Sleepy Ridge Golf Links last Saturday. It was one of the places we wanted to check out as a possible location for our wedding and wedding reception. The clubhouse has two rooms that can be rented for events like weddings or meetings. The first room is on the main floor and is called the Garden Room. This room features a sun room on one side with large windows and access to an outside patio on the opposite side. Upstairs they have another room with vaulted ceilings, wood flooring, a large fireplace, and outdoor patio. Sleepy Ridge Golf Links has connections with catering and floral companies as well as photographers and videographers to complete the day. Although it's pricey it seems like they a first class job. Sleepy Ridge Golf Links wasn't quite what we were looking for but it might be a great venue for your event or wedding. read more

I used to LOVE playing here. But now everytime we come you have it so stacked we are waiting on every hole and it's a mess. Rodger now we are 3 groups deep on a par 3. You need to stagger your times so the golf experience can be enjoyable. I'm losing my desire to ever come back. Not pleased read more

If you plan to play this course, plan on 5+ hours for 18 holes. Their course management is horrible, and the tee times are usually a half an hour behind on the weekend's rude customer service would not recommend this course if you're on a time crunch read more

Trust me on this one, I would say overall this course deserves 4 stars. It is not super expensive, they have good golf carts with GPS units and the course is pretty fun to play. The clubhouse is super nice and the pro-shop is well stocked. I wouldn't say it is the nicest course I've ever played, but worth it. The course isn't super long, but has a fair amount of out of bounds and wetlands which can make some shots tricky. Where sleepy ridge gets docked some points is their putting green and service. The putting green doesn't even have real holes to hit into but these weird sticks that are the size of a golf hole. It's a little strange and something you don't see often. They also have a hard time answering their phone. The last 3-rounds I have played here have all taken more than one call just to talk to someone and make a tee time. Good course, but if proximity to Provo and price isn't an issue I would rather play somewhere else. read more

It had been awhile since I had last played golf and this course was perfect for getting back into it. Gotta watch out for the houses and make sure you are hitting with the right club some of the par 3's are short! We loved every second of it and were especially appreciative of the player assistant helping us keep pace. They had clubs to rent us and provided everything else we needed as well. I would highly recommend this place for a golf course. Beautiful course, a lot of fun. Go try it out! read more

This place. More than anything it has my favorite golf story, of my companion missing a chip shot that would have set him up for birdie and then bogeying the hole. Out of sheer frustration he gathered his pitching iron and tossed it into the reeds. We can't afford to buy new clubs so he goes around and looks for 15 minutes. Nothing. 10 minutes later his entire body is covered in rashes from an allergic reaction to the reeds. Of course we only laugh on the inside. The missed chip shot was enough pain for the day. Besides that. Not my favorite course. Not even close really. A little bit overpriced. The driving range is pretty lame. The course does seem pretty well maintained. I think the reason I don't like it is because it's a difficult course which makes me sound like a huge baby. But I also think it really isn't that pretty. Water hazard after water hazard. Reeds sprouting up everywhere. Limited number of trees. It wasn't aesthetically pleasing like other courses. Although... I am reminded of another one of my favorite golf stories at this place. Turns out all this place holds is nostalgia. Winds kick up to about 30 mph and in the distance and impending storm of thunder and lightning rages. A beautiful sunset in the grey of the clouds. The wind pulls that flags out of the holes and we play a few holes blind before giving up. THE VERDICT: Some of my favorite stories happened here. But it really isn't that great of a course. The only reason I go is out of convenience. And even then I should probably stop going. It is a great venue for weddings though... so there's that. I really have nothing else to say. Not my fave place. Steak sandwich in the club house... ahhhhhhhh yeah one extra star! read more

I would say that this course is amongst the easiest in the state. Really wide fairways and moderate speed on the greens. The course is short. The back nine is more of a challenge but avoid the hazard and you will have short shots into soft greens. They have a grill that you have a 50/50 chance will be open. The one real negative is where it is located. Right between the Orem sewer treatment plant and Utah lake so you mite get a sewer odor(especially holes 11 and 12) or a million mosquito bites. Bug spray is a must. But for the most part I think golfers of all abilities will enjoy a round here. read more

Great fun course, well maintained and a little challenging. Great price and nice carts. Was visiting from Montana and was able to get a 1230 tee time walking in. Would give it another star except that I paid to upgrade the rented golf clubs to their best and all the clubs were packed with dirt and grass. They weren't bad clubs but really should be clean by the guys sitting around on their phones. read more

Played nine holes (front nine) on a recent Friday afternoon....a surprisingly warm afternoon in the midst of an April cold snap. Nice links-style course, beautiful clubhouse, and helpful starter/staff members. Reasonably priced with well-kept greens and fairways. Not too long a course, although riding (we walked) may have been preferable. Lovely homes line the fairways of many holes, lots of sand and rough make up for the absence of trees, and the 8th hole challenges players with a large water hazard. Utah County golf is definitely up-and-coming! read more

I've loved golfing at SR. Good course. Good layout. However, their greens have been crappy / very below average for way too long. It feels like 3 years. They are forever in repair. And no discounts for sanded greens. Time for new approach to greens keeping please. It's not the climate. Other courses in Utah County have been doing much better. read more

Very nice lady (Martha Stewart look-a-like) off the 8th fairway threw my ball back over the fence after a wayward tee-ball went into her yard. That really made the difference and put our experience over the top. read more

My favorite thing about this golf course is when I booked us 6:08 a.m. tee time and drive down from Park City after waking up at 4:30 in the morning and there's not a soul working. 15 people on the putting green waiting for somebody that apparently overslept. read more

Beautiful course. The back 9 is pretty challenging. But it's very fun. You can't beat $16 for 9 and a cart!! So fun. I have also attended wedding here it's a great venue for weddings. read more

Rate was good. Course was Just ok. Service was lousy. Charged a $1 for a cup of ice and the grill in the club house was closed on a Saturday. No ball washers on the course either. Also GPS was broken in my cart. probably won't go back. read more

Sleepy Ridge is a nice course. It is a bit pricey on certain days for what you get, but I feel like it is one of the better courses in Utah County. One important note on this course is to avoid playing here in the evenings in the summertime. My wife and I ran off the course one time because the mosquitoes were so bad - and we were even wearing repellent. read more

Nice challenging golf course. Golf carts have nice GPS distance tools on them. I've golfed here several times and enjoyed my experience here everytime. The staff can be a bit standoffish at times. Trust me, this course is very well kept and it was very fun to be able to play on a well kept course late in September. I think it might be the best course for the buck, at only 23 dollars for 9 holes and a cart it was a steal. The course is very nice and wasn't too busy on a Monday afternoon which definitely makes playing the sport a lot more calming and fun. Not to mention the carts are very well kept, and had a nice GPS system to tell how far you are from the hole at all times. I would recommend this course to anyone that is looking for a fun and decently challenging course for a great price. read more

Went to a wedding that was booked from 5 pm to 10 pm. The wait staff decided to clear the tables at 7:30-8:00 while people were dancing. This included all beverages. I asked the waiter when I went back to to the table if we could get some water and they would not bring out any thing to drink. I was told to go to the drinking fountain in the hall. For the money that was spent and seeing we had the room for almost two more hours I think they should at least left the water on the tables. The wait staff were rude and not worth the amount of money they were paid. All they were interested in was going home. I recommend having your wedding go somewhere else. Very poor service? read more

We had our Christmas party there and it was splendid. The staff was organized and ready to help with anything that I needed. They were very professional and kind. The staff at Sleepy Ridge made my job of planning the Christmas party so much easier then I could ever have imagined! Along with this review i will also be reporting this business to better business bureau as we experienced the rudest, most disgraceful attitude and customer service. We are renting the facility for a wedding and we assumed we could use the golf cart for a ride through the beautiful park. We looked for someone to ask whether we could or not, so we took them. However, we were rudely told us off by Gary, the manager of the golf course. We obviously apologized and just turn and went for a walk on the pavement which he noticed and said nothing but went in. 5 minutes into the walk the same person announced with a microphone that we cannot even walk there. No excuse me or please or sorry. We understand they may have had the best intentions, however, for a high quality facility like this one, a low quality disrespectful service is very disappointing. read more

There are very few times in my life that I can remember that I have received this bad of customer service. I used to golf at this course every week! I love the course itself. Amazing scenery and very clean. But the guy in the proshop was probably one of the rudest guys I have ever met! He accused me of trying to sneak on the course after my friend paid for me. We patiently tried explaining this to him, but he straight out refused to listen to me and kept practically yelling at me. You would think someone that golfs there every single week they would know. Or at least when I worked at a golf course in California we were encouraged to get to know our weekly regulars. He had long hair and ear rings. I haven't been back to this course since. On the bright side, I was so hurt by this experience that I called the course manager the next day to explain what happened and he was very kind to me. read more

A-holes wouldn't let me and my buddy walk the perimeter of the golf coarse to catch Pokemon. We weren't even technically on the coarse and they told us to leave. We weren't hurting anything and we weren't in anyone's way. I hope this 1 star damages there over all rating. A holes. read more
