My calls and emails always receive a response, and the staff at the front desk, who are there all day, are incredibly friendly and helpful. Anyways, I recommend this place highly for anyone seeking skill based therapy. We went only for a few sessions for a short time and stopped. I guess it wasn't too much of an impact. We found Restoration Counseling and we each read up on all the counselors available. We picked our Top 3 and both had Micah in common. I'm soooo glad and thankful God puts people like Micah in place to help people like us have a healthier, more stable and Christ like marriage. He is extremely judge mental, critical, and makes erroneous assumptions. he gets angry during your sessions at you. What therapist does that? After my 3rd appointment, I called him to express my concern about his behavior. He literally started screaming on the phone and hung up on me. I refused to go to him anymore and was stuck with 8 appointment bill that I pre-paid. Do not prepay for your appointments. If you do end up seeing him, only pay for one session at a time and you'll see after a couple of appointments that he is not qualified to be called a therapist. And he still lives in the 90's. He records his hypnosis sessions in outdated CD recorder and expects his clients to go purchase a CD player to listen to his useless recordings. Beware, his license needs to be taken away.

I have decided that Summits Edge is not a safe place…read more Last week, I felt belittled and shamed because my son and I were 30 minutes late to an hour-long appointment. Kelly, the person at the front desk met my son and me in the lobby and told us that he couldn't be seen because we were over 20 minutes late. She called me disrespectful and shamed me for not remembering that the 20-minute rule was in the Informed Consent Form. The therapist was not helpful either, he added to my already stressed-out state by saying his hands were tied. The practice handled the whole situation poorly. The staff could have called at 2:10 or 2:20 and told me that we missed the appt and needed to reschedule. The therapist could have invited us back to his office to chill a bit before going back out into traffic. Kelly could have been kind. To add insult to injury, I paid $125 for the experience. The whole experience was unkind, punitive, and completely unnecessary.
