The problem probably is with the choice of lenders and the inexperience of the processors. We contracted to buy March 12th but didn't close till May 22 after numerous delays. The loan was conventional, 80:20 LTV, good credit etc. The lender continually came back over the weeks as this dragged out for more/different/updated documents. (3-4 revisions of the sales contract??) It seemed like a constantly moving goal, we never knew where we stood or if they finally had 'everything' even though we had completed everything on the document checklist months ago! There were some extenuating circumstances but I think they could have been managed much better with an experienced processor. Closing day itself was no different from the rest of the process: drawn out and ambiguous - something that should take 1:30-2 hours took 5. Im just glad it's over.

When I called prime lending they said the report doesn't exist. I went back to trans union to tell them it's wrong. Trans union tells me to go back to prime lending to fix the report. This is going on for 3 months. I have never been late or paid less than full. Prime lending finally admitted they were wrong and that they will take care of it. They updated their system to show I was never late but my credit status is still "derogatory" when it should say "excellent". They tell me it'll take another month to fix my status. This is unprofessional and ridiculous. It takes them 4 months to fix their mistake. My credit score dropped 62 points because of their mistake. And I'm still hurting because of that. I can't buy furniture or the car I need because my credit score dropped so much. If the roles were reversed and I missed my payment by 1 day, their systems would update automatically to hurt my credit. But it takes 4 months to fix their mistake. I have never experienced such bad service
