The front office people need some customer service skills - every time I come in they depend on…read moreiPad to check in and out the students they assume you know what your suppose to do and they have their side conversation instead of helping the parent out . As soon as you walk in through the door they tell your Check in instead of " Good Morning, what can I do for you " and then prompt the parent to the iPad and ask if they need helped instead of having a side condensation with another front desk worker . She tells me Check in so I check in as a parent and then she goes you did it wrong ok so which one and she goes the student and then I say in a nice way this is new to me and she goes me too- NO this is where you don't agree instead you say let me help you / let me guide you .. I have not been at a school like this. They need to learn how to Empathize and acknowledge the people who come through the doors. I have work as a customer service and our company has won numerous of awards on j d powers and associates there is a disconnect between the people in the front saying their just a substitute " I asked her a question and she keep saying she is a substitute - I get it let's emphasize a little " I'm sorry I don't have the answer I'm just here replacing someone but let me find out for you " sounds better right? The people sitting on the right where just watching her make mistakes until I ask who can I ask about the field trip, again she repeats I'm just a substitute, finally someone in the back that was sitting down answer the question ". And this is not the first time and we have only been here in waynesville for 3 months...
