After asking everyone we know with kids and doing endless research online, we selected New Kingdom and set an appointment with Dr. Reed. The nursing staff that came in to take vitals were great and knowledgeable. They were friendly as well, making us feel very welcome. The Dr Reed came in. She was fantastic. She has a wealth of knowledge of pediatrics and has years of experience and has seen it all. She would talk about how some current trend started years ago and replaced another trend that came out of another trend. We talked about a range of topics and she answered all of our questions with ease and she was very present with us - she did not at all appear as though we were annoying her or driving her crazy with all of our new parent questions. The office staff was great here, too. I highly recommend this practice.

She asked a lot of questions to understand what was going on. Gives holistic approaches to things. They are very popular (Albertville) and you usually have about a month out to get an appointment so keep that in mind. Check with your insurance to see if they are in network as well. They recently moved into a new facility so it was fairly cold in the rooms while they work on the HVAC.

Not only is this terrible customer service but it suggests that similar improper charges will repeat in the future and that the practice does not take accountability for its billing beyond maximizing the cost to the patient and delegating the patient relationship outside of the exam room to non-doctors (frankly further making the billing code I challenged bogus at its core because it indicated it related to the doctor managing the continuing care relationship). I was also a patient at Southdale Pediatrics when I was a child and continued the relationship for my son with the belief that we would get personalized care. Moving away from an actual doctor patient relationship to an experience where a bot manages the relationship entirely soured me on the practice. It is not the way to provide a professional service.

They charged me $350 for what they called a "thirty minute" visit...which lasted for fifteen minutes. Judas betrayed Jesus for less money! The fact that this exorbitant $600 to $700-an-hour rate is considered "normal" does not make this sort of behavior okay. In my opinion, this is a disgusting way of taking advantage of sick people. I went in, got a prescription for a five dollar bottle of cream, and walked out. What part of that experience was worth $350?

I actually was contacted by 3/4 via text before leaving this appointment, and the fourth early this morning!
