I got about two hours out of WBBQ as I passed through the Augusta area. A decent classic rock station and pop hits during the afternoon with limited chatter from jocks. I think they move to syndicated programs during the drive time and evening hours, but that wasn't what I heard today. Local commercials, of course. But in between that, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bruno Mars and even Taylor Swift and Post Malone. A variety, which I appreciated. [Review 13224 overall, 541 of 2020.] read more

For 3 full weeks I entered every contest keyword and I haven't won anything. I keep my phone on iheart radio wbbq 24 hours a day and still haven't won anything read more

I have listened to WBBQ for years. As I was scrolling through my facebook newsfeed today, I saw the following: "iHeart condemns discrimination, injustice and prejudice of any kind. We will continue to stand together with our communities across America and help drive fundamental change by using all our platforms to positively impact how we treat each other, to listen to all voices and to foster genuine understanding." This statement is great, but then imagine how disappointed I was to see a post from WBBQ that stated this: "If you're a white person seeking to learn how to be a better ally, these books are an excellent place to start." and there is an article to click on regarding the books. Seriously, how can you post the first statement and then turn around and point out books for "white people" to read to become better allies? Who's discriminating or being racist now? read more

The front desk receptionist is on of a kind. She is always so jovial and optimistic. The station also has a comfortable seating area for guests. The DJ's/Radio Personalities at the station are very friendly. They are the voices of this community and always share great content. Perry Broadcasting of Augusta has four local radio stations. The account executives are also nice and very knowledgeable. The owner is a pillar of this community often jumping on board for many of the city's most important philanthropic causes. If you visit the office, you find parking spaces in specifically for visitors. That's always a plus. The parking spaces are also located in close proximity to the door. If you aren't familiar with the area, you'd want to reference your navigation. Overall, I like this place.

My staff and one of the owners of our company came in contact with a young lady at the reception desk who seemed to be more than irritated by their very presence. She was short, rude and less than helpful to them until the program director came through for help with a seperate issue. I am a strong proponent of good customer service and I stress this to my staff DAILY. This is the first point of contact for Clear Channel and this experience definitely sets the tone for the rest of the interactions you may have. To experience substandard care on this level from a place that we do business with was very disappointing. It is not my place to tell the management how to remedy this issue but I felt it necessary to bring it to their attention. Thank you

The station's general manager is very knowledgeable. He's even responsible for winning a Stellar Award for his radio involvement. WNRR Gospel also has good advertising packages for churches, new businesses and established businesses. Although they are in the radio arena, they work well with other mediums. The station has a robust website and social media presence. I recently visited for the grand opening event and I'm expecting great things. I was impressed!

During my time in Aiken and until I got about halfway to Columbia, this was my set for tunes. Billy Joel, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac. Decent stuff that I could have on the radio while I was plugging away at my keyboard or cooking dinner. In an effort to share these awesome events we lean on many of the Christian radio stations in the area. Here's why WAFJ is special. WAFJ provides a free platform for churches and even nonprofits that qualify to record spots for your event. Free public service announcements for churches and nonprofits. The station's general manager shared "That's why we're here." The station is located in North Augusta, SC. It was very easy to find. The building cannot be missed once you reach the road. Additionally, the station has two branded van outside, which prove you're in the right place. The WAFJ receptionist is very nice and accommodating. She welcomed me as soon as I walked in and the waiting area is very cozy and comfortable. Additionally, once I moved to the studio, the GM guided me through the process of recording and it took less than 15 minutes. The staff is talented and very savvy when it comes to recording commercial spots. The spot turned out awesome. I would encourage people to tune into this station and be ready to experience great hospitality if you visit the office.
