In an effort to share these awesome events we lean on many of the Christian radio stations in the area. Here's why WAFJ is special. WAFJ provides a free platform for churches and even nonprofits that qualify to record spots for your event. Free public service announcements for churches and nonprofits. The station's general manager shared "That's why we're here." The station is located in North Augusta, SC. It was very easy to find. The building cannot be missed once you reach the road. Additionally, the station has two branded van outside, which prove you're in the right place. The WAFJ receptionist is very nice and accommodating. She welcomed me as soon as I walked in and the waiting area is very cozy and comfortable. Additionally, once I moved to the studio, the GM guided me through the process of recording and it took less than 15 minutes. The staff is talented and very savvy when it comes to recording commercial spots. The spot turned out awesome. I would encourage people to tune into this station and be ready to experience great hospitality if you visit the office.

The front desk receptionist is on of a kind. She is always so jovial and optimistic. The station also has a comfortable seating area for guests. The DJ's/Radio Personalities at the station are very friendly. They are the voices of this community and always share great content. Perry Broadcasting of Augusta has four local radio stations. The account executives are also nice and very knowledgeable. The owner is a pillar of this community often jumping on board for many of the city's most important philanthropic causes. If you visit the office, you find parking spaces in specifically for visitors. That's always a plus. The parking spaces are also located in close proximity to the door. If you aren't familiar with the area, you'd want to reference your navigation. Overall, I like this place.

WJBF TV News 6 is our local ABC affiliate station. They recently moved up like the Jefferson's to a…read morestate-of-the-art facility on Augusta West Parkway. The station is shared with NBC Augusta, which is owned by Media General, so they share the building. The television studios and offices are completely separate. The only thing they share is a very nice receptionist who has always greeted me with a smile and compliment. The waiting area is very cozy. They have comfortable seating and a large window that looks out to Augusta West Parkway. There are also televisions airing the current programming for your pleasure. This newsroom is awesome it's very spacious with cubicles and reporters working hard to bring us the local news. However, when I visit, most of my time is spent in the waiting area/break room. This is where the guests are held until they appear on-air or are invited into the studio. The space is comfortable with plenty of light and televisions broadcasting the station's current programming. The parking for this building is great. Guests/visitors can park directly in front of the building or off to the right, which has hundreds of spaces. Regardless of the nature of your visit you will be pleased with the station's new digs. This is, as the masthead says, "The authority on Gamecock sports". The best parts of this are the 2…read morecolumns by Glenn Snyder and Dexter Hudson, 2 unabashed Gamecock reporters and fans. Gamecock fans get enough negative press from their own hometown newspaper and certain axe-grinding columnists-they don't need another. It is refreshing to read the tabloid style newspaper that is the official publication of the University of South Carolina. The S&F carries uncut transcripts of the coaches press conferences-uncut, emphasizing no reporter with an agenda can interject himself between the fan and the coach. The S&F comes with most Gamecock Club memberships. Long live the S&F! ---- Update: looks like the tabloid style paper has kicked the bucket. They did not help themselves, the newsprint edition never changed, they had no social media presence: no Facebook, no Twitter, nothing. The publication was way behind other Athletic Departments publications. Hopefully Glenn and Dexter can be column writers for the new iteration of whatever the S&F will be. They were the best part of the publication.
