WGUS 102.7 is no longer the Southern Gospel, they have changed formats and are now "music designed to make you feel good." I think the format change was only a few months ago. During my time in Aiken and until I got about halfway to Columbia, this was my set for tunes. Billy Joel, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac. Decent stuff that I could have on the radio while I was plugging away at my keyboard or cooking dinner. Also great roster of radio personalities! The station has a vast line-up of shows available to listeners. You can check out several local shows and a few syndicated shows. The station's general manager is very knowledgeable. He's even responsible for winning a Stellar Award for his radio involvement. WNRR Gospel also has good advertising packages for churches, new businesses and established businesses. Although they are in the radio arena, they work well with other mediums. The station has a robust website and social media presence. I recently visited for the grand opening event and I'm expecting great things. I was impressed!

The front desk receptionist is on of a kind. She is always so jovial and optimistic. The station also has a comfortable seating area for guests. The DJ's/Radio Personalities at the station are very friendly. They are the voices of this community and always share great content. Perry Broadcasting of Augusta has four local radio stations. The account executives are also nice and very knowledgeable. The owner is a pillar of this community often jumping on board for many of the city's most important philanthropic causes. If you visit the office, you find parking spaces in specifically for visitors. That's always a plus. The parking spaces are also located in close proximity to the door. If you aren't familiar with the area, you'd want to reference your navigation. Overall, I like this place.

WJBF TV News 6 is our local ABC affiliate station. They recently moved up like the Jefferson's to a…read morestate-of-the-art facility on Augusta West Parkway. The station is shared with NBC Augusta, which is owned by Media General, so they share the building. The television studios and offices are completely separate. The only thing they share is a very nice receptionist who has always greeted me with a smile and compliment. The waiting area is very cozy. They have comfortable seating and a large window that looks out to Augusta West Parkway. There are also televisions airing the current programming for your pleasure. This newsroom is awesome it's very spacious with cubicles and reporters working hard to bring us the local news. However, when I visit, most of my time is spent in the waiting area/break room. This is where the guests are held until they appear on-air or are invited into the studio. The space is comfortable with plenty of light and televisions broadcasting the station's current programming. The parking for this building is great. Guests/visitors can park directly in front of the building or off to the right, which has hundreds of spaces. Regardless of the nature of your visit you will be pleased with the station's new digs. The new space is a huge upgrade from the former studio on 10th and Reynolds Street with the 70's decor. Natasha C. reporting LIVE from this Yelp Review. LOL!

I live in Richmond County, so I had to drive about 5 minutes to Columbia County to seek it. I was unsuccessful after a couple of attempts, so I called the Columbia County New -Times offices. I was greeted by a very friendly voice and she was helpful. She gave me a list of some of the locations where the paper could be purchased. I struck out at a few because I didn't have change for the newspaper rack. She'd mentioned several times during our call "If all else fails, just drop by the office." I dropped by and they had several papers on hand. She provided me with one and encouraged me to even submit events and pictures for future issue. This newspaper has a hometown feel and it's only distributed on Wednesdays and Sundays, but it definitely captures the pulse of the Columbia County area.
