Rock took the time to make me as comfortable as possible: picking outfits with me, explaining simple modeling techniques and how he would light the scenes we choose, and overall giving me great directions on how to pose throughout the shoot. My first time doing a photo shoot so I was way out of my comfort zone and super nervous. Rock carter is very personable and has a calming energy about him that very quickly made me feel comfortable. Naturally, I had no idea what to wear. I had too many ideas in my head after looking for ideas online so I had a very large bag of clothing items that Rock had the patience to go through with me to choose and put together the best outfits. I have absolutely no modeling experience- I don't know how to pose. I'm the awkward person that never knows what to do with my hands even when I'm just standing normally, so you can imagine me trying to pose and have photos taken. Rock Carter took all of the guesswork out for me. He gives great direction- directs you into every single pose from head to toe. He made me feel like an actual model and after seeing the breathtaking photos I definitely looked like one as well. Tip: stretch before you go to a photo shoot lol Rock Carter's knowledge and talents really shine through with his creative use of lighting, incorporation of props, natural looking poses, and of course his ability to create a relaxing atmosphere. Back in February or March I saw and met with a representative at the Dulles Expo Center. This business is one of the attractions that caught my eye. Getting some photos taken with my wife could be a lot of fun. Doing nudes or something risky or out of our comfort zone would be fun. Talking to one of the representative gave good feeling and something I would like to try with my wife. I wish I could remember the name of the representative, but her name escapes me. I do remember some of the promotional photos I saw on this website and knew I had found the right business. Talking with this representative gave me the information and feeling that this business is worth doing. Doing business with them looks good because of the way the representative handled my questions.

Literally the worst run business I have ever encountered. I called to say I was running late and…read moreRuthie said that was fine. She texted me while I was driving and set a new time deadline. Obviously I didn't read the text or respond immediately because I WAS DRIVING! If it was that important and she knows I am driving call instead of texting. When I did show up after 3 hours in the car the door was locked (remember she had okayed me coming late). I called Ruthie to let her know I was there and that I just saw the text. Her response was so off-putting. I've never met a ruder person. After arguing with me for 20 minutes she then had the gall to say if we had started 20 minutes earlier then everything would be ok. Seriously?! If we started when I arrived it would have been that 20 minutes. Every excuse she tried to give made absolutely no sense. She even tried to play the 'single mom' card. To top it off she charged my credit card $200 (TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS) extra for the 'deposit.' There are enough other boudoir photographer options in the area. Save yourself the stress and ridiculous made up charges and get your photos done literally ANYWHERE ELSE! If I could give -5000 stars I would. Update: Ruthie commented on this review to dispute everything I said. Yes she did offer to reschedule, but one of her reasons for not following through today was that "our vibe is off now." After what happened this morning our "vibe" would be just as off - if not worse - tomorrow. Additionally, I am appalled that she said she gave me a 15 minute grace period and claimed I was an hour late. I called an hour before my estimated arrival time and had the new appointment time approved and then arrived within minutes of the cutoff time she texted me. I have time-stamped photos to prove otherwise. There is also exactly zero signage to help a customer locate the studio - not even at least on the front door. Moreover, how does her being a single mom have anything to do with this situation?? She looked me in the eyes and said she had looked out the door to check for my car before she locked the door. First off, how would she know which car is mine? The studio is in business park so she can't see every parking spot and it's absurd to think she knows who every car in the lot belongs to including those of visitors to the other businesses. Another excuse was that she had sent the makeup artist home already (moments after she told me the makeup artist usually stays until noon). I said I wouldn't mind doing the shoot without having my hair and makeup done since I wanted my natural hair anyway and feel more comfortable without makeup. According to the timeline she provided this solution would have put us ahead of schedule. She refused. I decided not to engage with her anymore and leave, but before I did so I needed to collect my things and respond to a time sensitive message on my phone. I then immediately left. I don't see why this would be a problem. I chose Ruthie because of positive reviews, but now it would not surprise me if she paid/bribed the reviewers. Once again, STAY AWAY!

My girlfriends and I wanted an alternative to girl's night out and we decided to gift ourselves something out of the ordinary. We are all in different paths in our lives, but we all wanted to have fun creating new memories celebrating the women we are today. Sandra's experience behind the lens was such an asset as she was able to guide us thru poses that really complemented the contour of our bodies. Not only did she introduce us to a plethora of different concepts, she also listened to our ideas and really made them come to life. Everything from the hotel to the music to the complimentary champagne and strawberries was just perfect. In fact, we had so much fun that we are already planning our anniversary shoot next year! And the shots are INCREDIBLE! It is so hard to choose, we want them ALL! I could not recommend Sandra more! All you girlfriends out there, this is your moment to make it happen.
