He never asked to see it, and took out a paper to look something up then told me they'd have to send it out and it would cost $450. I was very discouraged and decided to come by uBrakiFix as a last resort hoping they could do something. The young man at the counter took one look at my iPad, and said he knew exactly what was wrong, and went behind a wall to fix it. Came back and it was good to go! Turns out a piece of a charger had come off in the port and it just needed to be cleaned out. I was so grateful I was like "take my money!!!" Lol. Anyhow, I will not be going back to Best Buy. I grabbed information on their coverage plan. I will also be bringing by another iPad that won't turn on anymore that Best Buy said they couldn't do anything with either. ;0) I'll also be bringing buy my laptop. Computer Depot used to be my go-to for computer problems. The last time I used their services was…read morein 2022 after I had been being cyber bullied and my computer and WiFi hacked for nearly a year while I was renting a senior apartment from Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) in Knoxville. I already knew KCDC was involved. They have a reputation for going to extremes to target and retaliate against residents, and I had filed HUD complaints against them. When I brought my computer into Computer Depot, the manager/owner looked at me with eyes as big as saucers. I felt intuitively that something was not right. I gave them my computer and asked them to wipe the hard drive and reload my programs to get rid of the malware. When I came back to pick up my computer, I found that they had disabled my Secure Boot and installed a program that allowed them to come and go from my computer system, but also left an open door for the hackers. That was like a big clue that KCDC had hired them as "black hats" to facilitate their cyber harassment and surveillance, which included turning my apartment neighbors against me and encouraging them to harass and surveil me. Two attorneys who reviewed my screen shot evidence warned me that KCDC might be setting me up for a criminal indictment. I will never use Computer Depot again.

The little shop had three customers ahead of me, so I waited. When I met with the technition, I described the phone's behavior and stated that if the repair were a lost cause, I was not interested in paying a $50 fee to confirm that the phone was in fact broken. He assured me that if he could not fix it, I would not be charged. There was a cue of laptops to repair ahead of mine, so he stated that it might take a while to get to mine- first come first serve. I left the phone with him. I couple hours later i got a call that the phone was fixed. I picked up the phone, and while paying for the repair I asked how this might have been avoided. He sold me an SD card, and guided my adjustment default saving to the card instead of the phone's hard drive. While I can never be guarantees that no failures will occur, at least now I have the photos and contacts saved to SD and easily removable. I thought this was excellent service and this is where i will return in the future.
