The vibes and…read moreatmosphere of the restaurant were really enjoyable, and it wasn't too busy on a Friday night with our 6:30 PM reservation. Our waiter was very friendly, constantly checking on us and keeping our drinks refilled. We ordered the lettuce wraps, Korean BBQ wings, grilled shrimp, filet mignon, spare ribs, and crème brûlée. Everything had great taste and flavor. The Korean BBQ wings and grilled shrimp had a really nice kick to them. Our bill came to about $130 for all the food (we only drank water), which felt fair for the quality and amount we ordered. You should definitely give it a try--we'll definitely be back!

The service was fine but our server was frazzled. It seemed they were light staffed, and it took a while to get our order and our drinks (which we could see sitting in the well). The food- the appetizers- they were great! Would eat the shrimp, crab dip and Brussels again. Shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, as were the Brussels. The entrees - not so much. Essentially everyone was eating raw, cold meat. Our one friend said the short rib was fine, but needed salt. Everyone else got some type of steak that was woefully underdone (as in we ordered medium, and got it flash seared). One friend described it as just chewy, raw meat. We also got a side of asparagus, and they were the saddest stalks I had ever seen - pale and mushy - and maybe 6 stalks for $8 - not worth it. After the food came, we couldn't find our server, but there was also a wedding party coming in to the upper space. Overall, I think they bit off more than they could chew that evening, and we were left chewing on undercooked meat and sad sides.

Not only are you trying to navigate through the large twisting and turning space, but you're also trying to find a series of clues that have a theme. This was definitely one of the more difficult mazes that I've ever done. I went on Halloween and was also pleasantly surprised by the buckets of candy placed throughout the maze During COVID, they did a good job at managing crowds by having people buy tickets for certain time slots. The staff was wearing masks and asked people to wear masks during the beginning and end of the maze.

It's a quaint, restored throwback to the era when the Scots and the Davidsons timbered forests, tilling them into fields and farms. Eventually, the area was established and is known by their name. The Davidson family cemetery is prominently lined with a beautiful stone wall and is open most days. Trails exists for walking but not many use them (which is why I like going). There is an old dirt road that eventaually dead ends at a small shelter overlooking a pond--I think it leaves many disappointed. There's not much to see once you arrive and ALL the land is a County preserve with trespassing not allowed (yep, they got trail cams so if fishing is your plan, you've been warned). The magic, really, is the road itself. It winds through the woodlands for a couple miles with little traffic. I often park and walk portions with my binoculars. I grew up on such a road in Upstate New York. Fond memories rekindle. I am reminded of how happy was my childhood. Sometimes I see turkeys, deer, ospreys, and coyotes. Looking for a leisurely way to spend some time away? I say "give it a whirl." Breath it all in!

From the outside, I would have never expected such potential. The large building is planted very near the tracks off of Tryon & Dalton - just a few minutes from Uptown. Now, I'm sure the space varies per event, but the folks at Lupus decorated it beautifully. Tons of tables, a large bar to the right, dance floor near the stage and plenty of walking around room. Plus, there are two old train cars outside the side doors that are perfect for additional entertainment options - the event last night had a fortune teller and a bones reader in these cars. Per Extravaganza Depot's website, it looks like they are full service event planning and execution company. Capacity wise, the site reads 350 seated and 600 standing and there are adequate restroom facilities and probably 200 parking spaces (total guess here). There aren't too many well put together venues in Charlotte that host these types of numbers, but Extravaganza Depot does offer a great option!

What a GREAT space for ANY party or event! Extravaganza Depot converted part of their warehouse into a venue for parties and events. Not only do you get a GREAT venue for your party, you get access to the thousands of their props for your party. The folks at Extravaganza Depot were extremely professional, courteous, fun to work with and did a fantastic job! I could go on and on but the bottom line is, Extravaganza Depot is an AMAZING venue for a party or event and they did an AMAZING job and exceeded our very high expectations! The parking was fine but maybe needed some clarity as there was a restaurant and post office adjacent to the lot. It's a gravel lot basically with no clear signage. Not a big issue but FYI. There's a handful of places to visit within walking distance for eating and shopping. Very small town feel. Inside the office, the receptionist welcomed me and was new but friendly and professional. She helped me get set up on the app (still a work in progress) and gave me a quick tour. The big main spaces were already reserved but the phone booth space was adequate to my needs. The internet speed was decent but there was no ethernet cable for direct connection. The common kitchen area was clean and beverages were available as well as small snacks. Terry, the director for the space, was very helpful in troubleshooting issues with billing and reservations. Pricing was also reasonable for a one-day pass. Military veteran pricing is available. If I came to the city more often, I'd get a subscription because it's very close and isn't overcrowded like some co-working spaces.
