I called three different roofing companies and Alex came out the same day. I never even got a call back from other two places. Ever since that first visit Alex has been a fantastic communicator. His crew came out and replaced the roof and vents in one day. His other crew came to replace all the gutters and downspouts. They even hung a new gutter/spout by the front door entrance and told me it would be no charge. Alex also personally replaced our hail-damaged screens. Now for the icing on the cake. Because we chose impact resistant shingles we are eligible for a significant reduction in our homeowners insurance. Alex took care of all the paperwork and communicated directly with our insurance company to make that happen. THAT is customer service and blew me away when he told me he would do that. They were incredibly professional and super kind to us answering our very basic questions. So patient. I was impressed. My traditional Chinese dad is not easy to please and he really was happy with them! They showed us pictures of the roof and explained what areas were damaged. Last year my roof sprung a leak. My stress level went through the roof (pun intended). Prepared for…read morethe worst, I called Roofer Chicks and told them my bad news. My work order was assigned, and I awaited a call for service. A couple hours later, Adrian called and told me he would be there in a few days and would try to get to me as fast has he could, as the recent bad weather had them busy. Fast forward to a few days later. Adrian showed up and went to work. He looked in my attic, said he had located the problem and went to my roof. Shortly thereafter, he came down from the roof and showed me pictures. He said my roof was in good condition and that a boot at the bottom of a vent pipe became brittle and cracked, causing the small leak we found. A common problem he sees a lot with extreme heat and hot summers. He quoted me a price and scheduled me for a repair about a week later. He sent me an email with the total, the pictures, and my completion date. The process was painless and I appreciated the use of technology. The repairs were made. Fast forward to this year. My roof sprung another leak in the same area. I reached out to them the next day and got lucky. Adrian was able to come out the same day. This time the vent near the last repair needed sealant. He offered to stop by on his way home in the upcoming days and would place the sealant near the vent for free. He recommended the three vents installed by the original home builder be replaced with better ones and would send a quote. But for now, would patch me up to get me by and buy a little more time. Adrian made the complementary repair, and provided me a quote with the vent replacement. I can say with the upmost confidence that I highly recommend Roofer Chicks. They are friendly, reliable, and not one your fly by night roofing companies that show up after a storm and leave town. These folks are a local business here in New Braunfels, and they made my stress level relax a little, making the pain more bearable. If you need a roof repair, you will be happy you used them. I wouldn't use this company. They were called out for repairs to a newly installed (2024) leaking…read moreroof that somebody else installed and referred to him. I showed them the problem during an actual rain event in which water was pouring down a bathroom vent stack. A bucket was placed below the drip and they said they would be back the next morning. How's that for customer service? They told me the drip problem was not associated with the roof but was a "structural problem with the house"(?) I could actually see daylight through the hole from inside the attic and the tenant never had a leak prior to the new roof install. Rodriguez said he could fix the problem for $100 cash which I reluctantly gave them. They were done in a fasst 10 minutes. Not trusting him at all I had a second roofer come out that evening. He told me that sealant "boots" were never placed around the pipes in the first place and all that Rodriguez did was fill the void with caulk. By the way, the tenant of this house is fully handicaped and has been enduring the smell of mold since the new roof was installed (it just never soaked through the insulation to the sheetrock). As a roofing company, why didn't Rodriguez recognize that NO boots were on the pipes and instead used a load of caulk to fix the problem? The answer: (1) it wasn't his original roofing job and he didn't care (2) it was freezing cold outside (3) he had no sealant boots in his truck but did have caulk(4) he knew I was from out of town and was leaving and not returning and, (4) there was a definite language barrier between us that-he-took-advantage-of. I'm letting the $100 go because it's virtually impossible from out of town and he doesn't speak English. He's a con plain and simple. Before during and after photos attached.
