I just replace my roof, and needed to replace a run of gutters on the side of my home. I called Alfaro Gutters, and the proprietor immediately picked up the call. I explained that i was interested in 6 inch gutters, aluminum, seamless. He presented himself at my home within 20 minutes, examined the proposed job and gave me a very reasonable estimate. (I had done some online searches for cost of gutter replacement, and frankly, his estimate was VERY much inline, even below the costs i had searched.). He called his crew, and within half an hour they arrived, removed the old gutter, and installed the new gutter completing the project within an hour. Had Alfaro do some gutter work. They came out and did a free estimate, where they walked around the property with me showing me where they thought gutters would be best. We discussed the best ways to get water from the roof away from the home, and the best gutter sizes to accommodate the amount of water based on the size of the roof. They even offered a variety of colors for the gutters. They came out about a week later with the proper supplies, and got the job done fast. However, a few months later a 15' section of the gutters had collapsed. I found that they had installed the gutter screws in rotted fascia, and a tree was smashing up against the gutters. The project was doomed from the start. No mention of this from the gutter guys. I ended up getting longer screws, and remounting the gutters in areas that weren't rotten. A little more communication on this would have been nice. The gutters are still working, and they're holding up well. read more

I had Alfaro gutters come out to repair a leaky gutter (so I thought) they sent out a tech (Manases Rivera) and he inspected my concerns and informed me that it was a roofing issue, not a gutter issue. He was very kind and personable and even gave me some suggestions on what to tell the roofers. Genuinely a nice company focused on customer service rather then the money, a rarity these days! We hired them to replace our gutters last year. Other than a rescheduling issue from am to pm, they were great to work with. They had already given me an estimate, which was quite a bit less than a couple of bids we'd gotten, and we'd agreed on the size (5-6") , type of screen, & color which matched our trim perfectly. They brought everything they needed to start the job when they got here and had about 6 guys working. They completed the project within about 5 hours, cleaned up, and didn't harm our landscaping. This review covers two experiences with Alfaro's. I initially had Alfaro Rain Gutters install my gutters in 2016 after the hail storm. They sent a employee to my house to measure and give me an estimate. I asked for 2 separate estimates because I was going to replace the existing gutters and add more gutters to the entire house and wanted to be able to submit the existing gutter quote to the insurance company. The employee spoke very limited English so it was questionable whether he understood my requests and I had no idea what color my gutters would be. Literally the day before the gutter install I was given the name of the website for the manufacturer of the gutter materials to select a color! Everyone knows that colors on computers are not consistent with reality and depending on your computer settings, the color is meaningless. Nonetheless, I selected a color that I thought was closest to my trim color on the fascia. The install went fairly well and as the evening was approaching, I felt that the crew was rushing to finish. I added some downspouts that I had asked the first estimator to add in but he did not due to the language barrier. They did not have all the materials to comply with this request so they "scabbed" in pieces of downspouts to make it work. I paid the additional cost which was disclosed to me before the work was done so I could make that decision with full knowledge. That was fine. This past week I contacted the company for an estimate to clean and install gutter guards to the entire house and was given a price. I assumed that since they had installed the whole house gutter system, they knew the exact linear feet of the gutters. I was quoted an acceptable price and I accepted the offer. My appointment was on a Friday evening, and I was told that they would call 30 minutes before they came and they did not, so I had to gather up my dogs in a hurry and lock them up (I thought I would receive a call). After they "cleaned" the gutters and installed the guards, they handed me a copy of one of two of my previous invoices for the original gutter install. It had the new quoted price written in new ink written across it for the gutter guard install. I went inside to write a check and returned with it, and one of the employees said they made a mistake--they installed gutter guards on the entire house. I remarked that this was what they were hired to do and this was the quote I received for the entire job. They left after I told them I would deal with the owner on Monday. I received a phone call the next day from the same employee that had called me back originally with the quote for the gutter guards. She apologized and said that it was only for the first invoice covering the replacement of the existing gutters from 2016. She also said that if I did not pay the additional cost, it would be taken out of her paycheck by the owners! I felt like this was a form of extortion by shifting the responsibility for the error to me and making me feel guilty for her punishment by her employer. I have no way of knowing how much I was charged for; 1) the cleaning out of the gutters (really the blowing of tons of leaves all over my yard for me to clean up) and 2) the price per linear square foot of the gutter guards. Nothing was itemized or outlined for me to compare. Also, as I explained to Mary, this mistake deprived me of the opportunity to call other companies for bids and decide whether their bid was competitive. The cost was already over 1/3 of the price of the original total gutter install which I found to be pricey to begin with. read more

I called on Monday morning and left a message stating I wanted an estimate, I got a call in the afternoon setting up a free estimate for Wednesday, then after the estimate we got an email estimate and a phone call letting us know that they can have someone out Thursday afternoon, so I sit here after the work is done very happy with the service and end product I got. The 2 gentlemen that works on my gutters kept me inform and were very good at addressing my concerns. I would definitely recommend them and will continue to use them in the future if I need any gutter or rod repairs. Side note, I also called 1st Choice Gutters LLC on Monday morning and I have yet to hear back. So I would choose Alfaro over a fancy name any day! read more

They don't respect your time and miss appointments. Even with a big time window. They are unprofessional as they don't complete the job correctly and want to charge more after they are done. I just want to say that Alfaro and his crew were top notch. I had 5 different quotes ranging from $900-$2100. I went with the lower quote, which happened to be Alfaro's, not because it was the cheapest, but because his quote included the over-sized downspouts, the eyelids of the house, and all labor. I even as far as letting a competitor try and match Alfaro's price, and the competitor told me that he could not match it, and that I was getting a great deal. I called Alfaro, set a time and day for the job to begin. His crew showed up early, walked the house with me, explained everything, and completed the job in a couple hours. I wouldn't hire these people to work on my property or recommend them. They came out they were quick in getting the job done, however there installation cause rain damage to my home, and my office. Sent emails and tried to contact them but got no response. When I did get in contact with someone it was one of the installers who did the on on my house and I was trying to reach the owner. He asked what was the problem, I explained that the install the gutters too high many places and it was pushing up on the asphalt shingles. The leaf guards were secured and most fallen into the gutters. Also two of the runs were too long and water would fill up farthest from the drain and over fill when it rained real hard. I also explained that the gutter were supposed to installed low enough for when I replaced the asphalt shingles with a metal roof there would be sufficient drop in the gutters. I also explained that the I know had water damage in my office, and water was now coming out from the brick and siding of my home. he came out the next day, I started in the office, where the ceiling plaster was coming off, pointed out everything I had explained. His crew got to work and I asked that he call me when he was done. They left several hours later according to my son. Instead of removing the gutters, they tried pulling the nails out and bending down on the gutters to get them lower that the roof line. Needless to say my office never got fix and their solution to the leaking roof was to dump a bunch more caulking on the roof. I still have leaf screen lying in the gutter, and water retention in the the over extended lengths of gutters and damage in my office. read more
