The Condo fee…read more,went from $700 per month to $1700 plus per month, due to negligence of maintenance ,several boards that had no clue what was going on and several owners who are clueless. Would like to say that things have improved, however, it is at a huge cost (,as mentioned above). The board has no idea how to cut costs, the management has no directive to cut costs and most have no clue how to maintain a building. Anyone can purchase new equipment, but maintaining the equipment is the key. Most people will be lucky to see appreciation in this building. We need people who are experienced in running a condo board, know how to set goals and objectives,monitor those things and not be afraid to think outside the box. I spent $400,000,contributed almost $200,000 in fees and would be lucky to get it back. If we spent as much time figuring out the issues and less time forming photography clubs and worrying about street lights, we would begin to right the ship. Instead we are going down with the ship and we have no one to blame but ourselves for not understanding how to fix it. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. I recently discovered that, on top of charged for parking, the parking area is assentialy open to everyone. Most of the vehicles parked there belong to residents who are not paying for parking, while many others belong to visitors who occupy residents space simply for their convenience. On the mos recent 4th of July, one resident invited more then 20 guests to use the property´s amenities, including the swimming pool. I was forced to leave because the pool was overcrowded with guests using oversized inflatables and throwing heavy balls that repeatedly hit me. I pay for access to these amenities, yet the first day I decided to enjoy the pool, I was unable to do because I discovered that, just like the parking lot, the pool has effectively become a public as well. TO MAKE MATTER WORSE, BY THE END OF THE DAY, 6 POLICE OFFICERS HAD ARRIVED TO RESPOND TO A FIGHT INVOLVING SPITTING AND PHYSICAL ASSAULT AND AL GUESTS WERE SMOKING POT IN THE CONDO AMENITIES AREA IN FRONT OF THE KIDS. That alone demonstrates the level to which this community has deteriorated. Within my first 15 days of living at Saugus Atwood, a package delivered to me was stolen from the package room, and I received virtually no assistance from management. i pay for the condo amenities, only to discover that everything is open and available for public use. Since there appears to be no access control, no enforcement, and no consequences for violating the community rules, I might as well invite everyone from MA to come and enjoy all of Saugus Atwood´s amenities free of charge (don´t worry, residents pay for that), just show up and take advantage of everything the complex has to offer. NO RESTRICTIONS, NO SUPERVISION, NO ACCOUNTABILLITY. Apparently, Saugus Atwood amenities is the new Disney World but, for FREE for non residents.

It's conveniently located off of Route 1 but set back far enough that you aren't bothered by noisy traffic. I personally love that I can get to Boston quickly but also hit the trails of Breakheart and Trustees properties of the Cape Ann area. Had I not needed to re-locate, I would easily re-sign a lease here for several reasons. 1. Lina is very attentive and responsive to any and all service requests. She always responded to requests within 24 hours and work was always completed within 2-3 business days. Sometimes we had work completed on the apartment within hours of submitting the request through the online portal. 2. Payments for rent are very easy and all done through a central online application (AppFolio). You can pay from your phone or through the web portal. You can also send in maintenance requests from this portal. 3. The surrounding neighborhoods and our neighbors were great! We wished that we had more of a chance to explore Somerville, but due to COVID we spent a lot of time in our apartment. That being said, our rooms were very large and we had plenty of space in the common areas to do work during the day. Our porch was also a great place to eat meals. All-in-all the living space was great and it really felt like home away from home.
